Obama 41%, Ron Paul 37%

Amazing:
Congressman Ron Paul may be a long shot to win the Republican presidential nomination, but he runs competitively with President Obama right now.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey of Likely Voters shows Paul picking up 37% of the vote, while the president earns 41%.

This is all about the debt crisis and despite the MSM spin, it's not breaking well for Obama and the Democrats.

It isn't just that Ron Paul runs competitively, he polls better against Obama than anyone but Romney. He polls better than Parry, than Bachmann, than anyone else in the race. Ron Paul dominates with independents. Rasmussen ran the first head to head between RP and Obama I'd seen in April 2010 and in that one RP got 41% and Obama got 42%.
