The Little Eichmanns in the Global Warming Community collect another scalp

The Little Eichmanns include the editorial board of the Virginian Pilot who never fail to tell us that Norfolk is in imminent danger of being swallowed up by the sea.  They also tell us that global warming is settled science and scoff at anyone who questions their orthodoxy.

Actually they and their ilk do a  lot more than scoff.  They threaten the life, the reputations and the livelihood of anyone who disagrees.

It was once assumed that the threats, the rejection of tenure, the withdrawal of government grants and the hatred of the EnviroNazis only really persuaded the younger academics to string along.  But we were wrong.  The Virginian Pilot's pals in academia managed to cow a 79-year old Professor, Lennart Bengtsson, former director of the Max Planck Institute for Meteorology, winner of the 2005 Descartes Research Prize and the 2006 World Meteorological Organization IMO Prize. It seems his crime was to join a group that questions the global warming orthodoxy. Said Bengtsson:
I have been put under such an enormous group pressure in recent days from all over the world that has become virtually unbearable to me. If this is going to continue I will be unable to conduct my normal work and will even start to worry about my health and safety.
Keep that in mind when you read anything in the Virginian Pilot, not just about global warming, the imminent inundation of Norfolk or anything else. These people are vicious.   And you won't read about this in the Virginian Pilot.
