Cutting to the Chase: Why Trump Was Driven from Office

There were essentially three called strikes against him, all that was needed to count him out.

He was not “presidential.” He was considered crude in speech, rough-hewn in manner, and given over to bluster and hyperbole unbefitting the highest office in the land. For these transgressions, he could not be forgiven.

He was an outsider, the first president in American history with no military or political experience. He was not a politician, a general, a lawyer, or a holder of public office. He was never a member of the Beltway club, whether Republicrats or Democrats. He was not followed by a train of professional lobbyists, owed no political debts, did not accept a salary, and did not enrich himself when in power. For these transgressions, he could not be forgiven.

He was competent and proudly patriotic. He put America first, cutting taxes, renegotiating bad trade deals to the nation’s advantage, reducing a red-tape regulatory nightmare, making the country energy-independent and a net exporter of energy, rebuilding the military, defending the southern border, re-establishing global prominence, and connecting with the commons. For such transgressions, he could not be forgiven....

The Great Awakening was Donald Trump

I’m beginning to fully understand the difference between a Conservative and a Republican.

I’m embarrassed to admit that I have been fooled for so long by people who I thought were on my side, only to find out that I’ve been scammed.

I’m not the first person to have been taken by a scam artist.  At least I didn’t fall for the Nigerian Prince game.  But I have subscribed to various “Conservative” publications and given to “Republican” politicians.

To my embarrassment, I voted for both Bushes, McCain and Mitt Romney, convincing myself that I was voting for the “least bad” choice on the ballot.

I even supported the disastrous Iraq war and the even more disastrous “peace” that followed as the hapless Bushies blindly believed that the Arab world could, with the passage of a year transform itself from a collection of primitive tribes to a Western Democracy if they only held an election.  I saw that happening and I could not believe that any professional foreign policy establishment was that capable of such blind folly.

But by supporting the Republican Party reflexively I was really encouraging the kind of scam artist who takes your money and disappears.

The Great Awakening was Donald Trump.

Here was a Republican “playboy” who shocked the bipartisan establishment by getting elected President in his first run for office, arriving in Washington facing opposition from both Democrats and Republicans as well as the animus of the united press, the entire bureaucracy plus the FBI, CIA, the DOJ and the Judiciary.

Team Hillary sold the story that the Russians stole the election for him.

He was accused of being Putin’s puppet as his DOJ appointed a Special Prosecutor to prove he was actually a Russian agent.

His Attorney General – Jeff Session - publicly neutered himself.  His nominee for National Security Advisor – General Michael Flynn - was accused of colluding with the Russians and forced to resign based on bogus charges of misleading Vice President Pence.  The Republican Speaker of the House – Paul Ryan – publicly denounced Trump as immoral and unfit to hold office.

Yet … despite being a virtual Lone Ranger in Washington DC, Trump accomplished more of the so-called “Republican Agenda” than anyone in my memory and that includes Ronald Reagan.

Cutting Taxes – check.

Creating new jobs – check

Reducing unemployment - check

Cutting dependence on welfare - check

Reducing government regulations – check

Appointing Conservative Supreme Court Justices – check

Building a Wall on the southern border – check

Reducing Illegal Immigration – check

Peace between Israel and Arabs – check

Negotiating better trade agreements – check

Making America energy independent - check

Putting America First - check

That was until the Chinese unleased the Wuhan virus on the world - a virus which we likely had a hand in funding.  Democrats blamed the epidemic on Trump and laid the death of half-million dead Americans at his feet.  Meanwhile, Trump pushed for the development of a vaccine in record time – Warp Speed – confounding every last critic.  And then lost what many observers believe was a stolen election.

So, I’m done with Republicans.  I have less use for Republicans than I do for honest Democrats.  Democrats are upfront about hating you and stab you in the front, Republicans tell you they’re on your side and stab you in the back.

The Greatest Accomplishment Of Donald Trump

Trump was unabashed in his love of this Country. “Make America Great Again”, “Keep America Great” and “America First” all have one thing in common: America. Every Trump rally, every truck rally, every boat rally and every motorcycle rally was filled with happy patriots waving the American flag. Admit it, it felt so good to be proud of your country in public again.

Those are just the morale accomplishments. The actual accomplishments listed by the White House are breathtaking. Read them here.

The deregulation that opened up our economy to all would be enough for one term. The energy independence that Trump championed put money in American pockets and helped boost the economy, although it is soon to be overturned by the Green New Deal.

Trump moved our embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. This move was required as of 1999, under Bill Clinton. Every President since has promised to make this move. None did. Middle East war was predicted. Instead, Trump signed four more peace deals.

Let’s not forget the troops he brought home.

Even the formerly skeptical Dennis Prager thinks Donald Trump is a great President:

HOW DARE Donald Trump TURN OUT TO BE ONE OF THE BEST PRESIDENTS THE United States OF AMERICA HAS EVER HAD IN SPITE OF HIS PERSONAL FLAWS WHICH HE NEVER TRIED TO HIDE WITH THE RESULT THAT HIS HONESTY CAUSED THE LEFT LIBERALS TO HATE HIM

I’m still trying to understand what 80 million voters disliked about President Trump so much that they decided to cast their votes for a man who served forty-seven years in government and has done absolutely nothing for the American people. And, I’m still flabbergasted that those same people would vote for a woman to serve as Vice President, a heartbeat away from the Presidency, with a rather checkered and not so moral past. I wondered why they despised and hated President Trump so much.

And so, I have many questions: Did you dislike that Trump made cruelty to animals a felony?

Did you dislike he raised billions to stop the opioid crisis?

Perhaps you feel that he destroyed ISIS, killed terrorists, including the leader of ISIS and the Iranian General responsible for thousands of American deaths, all without going to war?

Did you dislike the fact that the media and democrats, Joy Behar and Whoopi Goldberg, Chris Cuomo, and Jim Acosta said we’d be in World War III by now with North Korea, and their prophecies did not come to pass?

Did you dislike Trump because under his leadership we became energy-independent and an exporter rather than an importer of oil, no longer relying on the Middle East for our petroleum needs?

Did you dislike him because he wanted to build a wall to keep criminals and drugs from coming into our country?

Did you dislike him because he just slashed the price for medications in some cases by 50%, which is driving big Pharma nuts?

Perhaps you dislike that he signed a law ending the gag-order on pharmacists that prevented them from sharing money-saving options on prescriptions?

Is your dislike for President Trump based on the fact that he signed the Save Our Seas Act, which funds $10 million per year to clean tons of plastic and garbage from the ocean?

Did you dislike that he signed a bill for airports to provide breastfeeding stations for nursing moms?

How about the fact that he signed the biggest wilderness protection and conservation bill in a decade, designating 375,000 acres as protected land, was that why you dislike him?Did you dislike that he loves America and puts Americans first?

Did you dislike that he made a gay man the ambassador to Germany and then asked him to clean up national security and un-classify as much of it as possible for transparency?

Did you dislike that he’s kept almost every campaign promise (with zero support from Congress who work against him daily!) plus 100 more promises because Washington was much more broken than he or any of us thought?

Do you dislike that he works for free, donating his entire $400,000 salary to different charities?

Did you feel that he did this for four years because he was “showboating?”

Do you dislike that he’s done more for the black community than every other President?

Do you dislike that he listened to senator Scott and passed Invest In Opportunity Zones to help minorities?

Do you dislike that he passed prison reform, which gives people a second chance and has made quite a huge difference for the black communities?

Do you dislike that he passed VA reforms to benefit the very people who served our country and defend our freedom?

Do you dislike that he’s winning and signing new trade deals that benefit Americans, instead of costing us more?

Did you dislike him because, unlike all of the presidents who came before him, he recognized Jerusalem as the Capital of Israel, relocated the U.S. Embassy from Tel Aviv there, and then proceeded to negotiate four peace accords between Israel and Arab Nations when many in the media were predicting there would be war? Was that why you disliked him?

Do you dislike that he loves his flag and his country?

Do you dislike that he calls out and has shown time and time again that the mainstream media in our country has become corrupt and incompetent, twisting the truth to control and mislead the people and he is trying to protect us from this?

Do you dislike that he has been a President totally committed to ending wars and bringing our troops home?

Trumpism—A Look Backward and Forward to November

Perhaps 70 percent of Trumpism remains a hodgepodge of Reaganism: strong defense, realist foreign policy, deregulation, smaller government, big deficits, tax cuts, energy growth, and stars-and-stripes traditionalism.

But it is the other unorthodox 30 percent that excited his base, terrified conservative apostates, and won Trump the 2016 election by energizing between 4 million and 6 million voters in swing states who had either given up on Republicans, or on elections altogether. NeverTrumpers talk of Trump’s demise and their own resurrection as Phoenixes to rebirth the GOP. They have no idea that those who despise them had ensured their Beltway-preferred candidates could rarely win; nothing has changed since.

Trumpist conservatism is usually defined as not free, but fair trade, strict enforcement of immigration laws, an end to optional interventions that will not likely, in a cost-to-benefit analysis, result in U.S. interests or strategic calm for a purported troubled region, and a belief that industry and manufacturing are not brick-and-mortar anachronisms, but the creators of what we cook on, sit on, live in, drive, and work in; our non-virtual world that everyone relies on and yet takes for granted as so passΓ©.

U.S. Field Hospitals Stand Down, Most Without Treating Any COVID-19 Patients

What more proof do you need that President Donald J. Trump saved millions of lives?

As hospitals were overrun by coronavirus patients in other parts of the world, the Army Corps of Engineers mobilized in the U.S., hiring private contractors to build emergency field hospitals around the country.

The endeavor cost more than $660 million, according to an NPR analysis of federal spending records.

But nearly four months into the pandemic, most of these facilities haven't treated a single patient.

Game-Changer: Trump Releases Plan to Free Americans Stuck in the House Due to COVID-19

In the two-page letter he outlined to the nation's governor's what their plans are to get America moving again:"In furtherance of this shared goal, my Administration is working to publish new guidelines for State and local policy makers to use in making decisions about maintaining, increasing or relaxing social distancing and other mitigation measures they have put in place.

This is what we envision: Our expanded testing capabilities will quickly enable us to publish criteria, developed in close coordination with the Nation's public health officials and scientists to help classify counties with respect to continued risks posed by the virus. This will incorporate robust surveillance testing, which allows us to monitor the spread of the virus throughout the country. Under these data driven criteria, we will suggest guidelines categorizing counties as high-risk, medium-risk or low-risk.

How will the governors react?  Depends on how Democrat they are and how much pleasure they get out of abusing their power.   Keep in mind we have the worst ruling class in memory.

'What the Hell Do We Have to Lose?'—Trump Sent Malaria Meds to NY to Begin Trials on COVID-19 Patients

This is the difference between an effective leader and the lousy politician ( and the MSM, but I repeat myself).

In Sunday's Coronavirus Task Force update, Trump said that the meds have already been sent to New York to Governor Cuomo:
"He's excited about it like I'm excited about it. Now, will it work? I think it has a really good chance. I think it's worthwhile. Why should we be testing it in a test-tube for a year-and-a-half when we have thousands of people who are very sick. They're very, very sick. And we can use it on those people and maybe make them better. And in some cases maybe save their lives."

It's almost as of the MSM were rooting for people to die.

An NBC reporter last week challenged the president that he was giving "false hope" and "misrepresenting" the impact of the drug. Trump wheeled back and let him have it, saying, "The American people are looking for answers and they're looking for hope and you're doing sensationalism ... And you ought to get back to reporting instead of sensationalism. Let's see if it works. It might and it might not. I happen to feel good about it, but who knows. I've been right a lot. Let's see what happens.

Reality Show Star Destroys Some Illusions

There are people who mock real Americans for electing the star of a reality show as president. But many of those same people seem to hang on to really bizarre illusions in the face of reality. For those who have eyes to see, many illusions have been shattered by Donald Trump's presidency. Does anybody here feel the same way about the bureaucracy in Washington D.C. as they did before Trump took office?

Recently, more illusions about the nature of the long war have been destroyed. Doesn't mean the media can't make up some new ones:

If anything may be gleaned from the recent hyperbolic reporting about Iran, it is that our media betters, particularly those reporting on national security issues, are deeply and inexorably challenged at providing reasonable and thoughtful analysis due to a blinding animus towards President Trump.

Nothing evinces this phenomenon more succinctly than the recent days in which supposedly serious national security reporters waxed poetic about the likelihood of World War III, while sharing unverified reports about tens of killings of Americans from Iranian state media. . . .

The level of breathless misinformation and disinformation spread after Iranian Gen. Qassem Soleimani's killing by the individuals we rely on supposedly to report facts and offer analysis in a responsible and undramatized manner was stunning. But this isn't their first rodeo.

No, such grossly hyperbolic reporting for the sake of convincing people that Trump may have created an epically destructive policy quagmire has become the new calling card of the media. The media has shown that they cannot eviscerate Trump with factual, state-of-affairs reporting because those affairs are never quite dire enough for the media. Similarly, for the sake of avoiding flat-out lying entirely (although it is entertaining to watch the "mistakes" go in one direction), the media is forced to cabin their criticism in fantastic projections.

Trump almost started World War III. Trump almost catalyzed the entire destruction of the Kurds. Trump almost started war with North Korea. Trump almost started a full-blown war between the Palestinian-Arabs and the Israelis. Trump almost devastated the economy by slapping tariffs on Chinese goods. See how much heavy-lifting the word "almost" is doing? It's utterly bizarre, because these predictions never happen. . . .

How did this situation come to be?

Well, for one thing, the press has been allowing itself to be fooled for a long time.

Correction: the press was in cahoots with the mythmakers who wanted to fool the American people.

Trump Targets Anti-Semitism and Israeli Boycotts on College Campuses

WORST. NAZI. PRESIDENT. EVER.

Senate confirms openly gay Trump nominee to 9th Circuit

Mr. Bumatay, who has worked as an assistant U.S. attorney for the Southern District of California, cleared the Senate by a 53-40 party-line vote.

Thank God we have Trump to roll over such bigotry in the name of diversity.

How Baghdadi's Death Reveals Trump's Clever Syria Strategy

Syria is now Russia's headache and one that they really can't afford.

President Trump made clear that U.S. forces would remain in Syria as long as necessary to combat ISIS and to protect the oil fields in northern Syria from ISIS or Iranian seizure. Neither Russia nor the Syrian Assad regime will be getting their hands on the oil fields either, so long as the U.S. maintains its military presence there. What exactly then will Russia be gaining from the U.S. withdrawal in northeastern Syria, where the Syrian Kurds had been relying on U.S. protection from Turkey’s forces? Not as much as President Trump’s critics think, according to Zev Chafets, a prolific writer who was a senior aide to Israeli Prime Minister Menachem Begin and the founding managing editor of the Jerusalem Report Magazine. In an article entitled “Trump Outsmarts Putin With Syria Retreat,” Mr. Chafets wrote that Russia will, by necessity, have to take on more responsibility for fighting ISIS and other jihadists as well as reconstructing Syria.

“Sooner or later, al-Qaeda, Islamic State or the next iteration of jihad will break loose in Syria," Mr. Chafets wrote. “When that happens, the Russians will be the new Satan on the block. Their diplomats in Damascus will come under attack, as will Russian troops. More troops will be sent to defend them. Putin’s much-prized Mediterranean naval installations will require reinforcement. And so on. Soon enough, jihad will inflame Russia’s large Muslim population. Moscow itself will become a terrorist target.”

Russia will also have other headaches. Having saved the Assad regime from near collapse and claiming that it is now the main sheriff in Syria, Russia will have the burden of trying to coax Assad towards building a durable post-war government that may include some opposition elements. Russia will also be obliged to help with Syria’s reconstruction in order to avoid a breakdown of any restored order. “As the big power in charge, Russia…will be expected to help its Syrian client rebuild the damage from the civil war,” Mr. Chafets noted. “Physical reconstruction alone is expected to cost $400-500 billion. This is a bill Trump had no intention of paying — and one more reason he was glad to hand northern Syria to Putin. Russia cannot afford a project of this magnitude.”

Reagan's military build-up bankrupted the USSR which was trying to keep up. Trump is using economic power instead of military intervention to destroy America's enemies.

Rabbi Dov Fischer Loves Donald Trump: "The Greatness of Donald Trump"

H/T Bookworm

What makes Trump a man of historic greatness is that he wakes up every morning and continues doing his job with strength in the face of the worst character assassination imaginable, led by the Corrupt Journalist Corps. He still booms the economy. He still dares and stares down China on tariffs and trade. He still shows North Korea that he will not be hoodwinked as Bill Clinton and Obama were by promises devoid of results. He stares down the Iranian Ayatollahs and tightens the vise, despite their bombastic threats and tactical efforts to get the weak-kneed, yellow-livered, gutless and cowardly Europeans to beg Trump to lay off. He stares down those Europeans, insisting mercilessly that they cough up the money those cheap and lazy skinflints never before would pay to support NATO. So, unlike Obama and Arafat, no Nobel Prize for him. On Trump’s watch, Vladimir Putin no longer extends Russian hegemony into other countries. On his watch, Abu Mazen (Arafat’s henchman, Mahmoud Abbas) finally got cut off for allocating 7 percent of his annual budget — as much as $300 million, coming from monies sent by America and Europe — to support families of terrorists and to make convicted terrorists among the highest-income earners in “Palestine” under their “Pay to Slay” program.

Trump faces 24/7/365 lies, slander, and libel, and he just keeps going. He continues advancing novel approaches to solving the southern border mess that generations of Republicans, including Reagan, failed no less than did Democrats to address. With a porous border, deadly opioids have swamped us for years, brutal criminal animals like MS-13 have slithered in, and the most despicable of villains have smuggled in women and children for sex slavery. Yet, until Trump, no one took tough steps to secure the border. Then, faced with Obama judges in states of the federal appellate Ninth Circuit who routinely strike down his every lawful initiative, he has taken to filling not only two Supreme Court vacancies but also dozens of open federal appellate seats and even more federal district court benches with judges committed to the rule of law and the primacy of the Constitution.
