“Well, it’s always a good thing when we can keep border patrol agents, federal agents safer,” Acevedo replied. “I would just ask you, Martha, is it worth $25 billion to keep people 100, 200, 300 yards away from the border to throwing rocks at agents on the other side when you just do this [Acevedo then physically ducked out of camera range]. Is that worth $25 billion?”
McCallum could hardly believe it.
“They should dodge the rocks?” she asked. “You think they should just dodge the rocks?”
“I’m not saying that,” he said, even though that was exactly what he was saying.

Media fear Trump will inspire violence against reporters
Many in the national media are worried that President Trump's continued broadsides against the press will inspire violence against reporters, even as vocal opponents of the White House on the Left have encouraged assault or directly attacked some journalists.
Named among those quoted who fear violence from Trump supporters are NY Times Jim Rutenberg, Jim VandeHei, founder of the news website Axios, Jeffrey Toobin, a writer for the New Yorker and a CNN commentator, and New York Times columnist Nicholas Kristoff.
To date, more than two years after he launched his campaign and seven months after his inauguration, there is no clear evidence linking Trump's rhetoric to any violence against reporters.
But a Bernie Sanders supporter and ardent Democrat attacked a group of Republican congressmen, nearly killing one. This attempt at real political assassination has disappeared from the press coverage as if it never happened.
Reporters have much more to fear from Leftist rioters like the Antifa gangs. Yet they never voice those real concerns. They would not dare; they would be crucified by their peers.
There has been some violence against reporters. In March, people who work for a local California news agency said they were assaulted at a Trump rally by his supporters, according to the Los Angeles Times. But the report said that among the four people arrested at the incident, all were counter-protesters, and made no mention of them being inspired by Trump...After the riot in Charlottesville, nearly two weeks ago, some reporters on the scene said on social media that they had been attacked by people counter protesting the white supremacy rally.Among those in the media who said they had been assaulted were Taylor Lorenz of The Hill, who posted a video on Facebook that cuts off after she is heard screaming and a man's voice yells at her to "Stop fucking recording." She claimed she had been punched in the face and that her phone was kicked away. The photographer for a CBS affiliate in Richmond was also allegedly attacked by the Left and had to get stitches while recording one of the counter protests, according to the station.
It's always the same with the Left: blame the Republicans for things that your side does regularly.
The fact is that the violence is mainly on the Left.
The kind of people that go to Trump rallies, ordinary people, would no more think of attacking a reporter than killing their children. They may despise reporters for their bias and open bigotry. They know that the press hates normal people and sees Trump supporters are racist Nazis. They accept that and go on. They just ignore reporters. But the Left has to have the press working for them. It's the way they appear to be the majority when they are a minority. The press is their megaphone, their crazy fun-house mirror to appear to be ten feet tall. And if by mistake a reporters actually records their violence and shows the reality, they attack the reporter.

Rebel reporter assaulted at Women's March — $1,000 reward to find him
Even more incredible, a photographer from the Canadian Press named Jason Franson was right there, taking pictures the whole time. But he didn’t publish any of those pictures; he didn’t support his fellow journalist. He actually pushed Sheila, too — and verbally disparaged her.

Michelle Fields Is Not Black and Blue
When #TheDress became a viral sensation last year, you had people who were absolutely positive the dress was gold and white while others looking at the same picture were just as sure it was black and blue. It was a stupid meme, but it dominated the news cycle and had family members screaming “Are you fucking blind?!” at each other. The same thing is happening with this Michelle Fields case. I see a woman gingerly moved out of the way, while almost everyone I know sees a woman being assaulted. There is plenty of photographic and video evidence of the exchange, but it doesn’t seem to affect people’s perception of what happened. Once again, the more we are confronted with evidence that contradicts our beliefs, the more steadfast we are in those beliefs. The initial videos show a close-up of Fields touching Trump, and an aerial view was released by police this week that shows more details. What is irrefutable is that on March 8, after a press conference in Jupiter, Fla., Breitbart reporter Michelle Fields approached Donald Trump and was moved out of the way by Trump’s campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski. There is audio of Fields acting like it was a big deal to The Washington Post’s Ben Terris, but I was happy to get on with my day a few seconds after seeing the first video...For the record, I think Michelle Fields is full of shit. I think Ben Terris placated her because she’s pretty and he’s a horny beta male. I think her bruises are self-inflicted. She didn’t look down at her arm in the video, which is the first thing you do when someone inflicts pain. I think she’s an attention whore who wants to dominate the news more than she wants to report it. She has a book coming out and all this hype is good for sales. She also has a history of histrionic complaints. I’m dubious of her supporters and suspect many are being overly chivalrous. This is a common trait among conservatives. When I suggested it’s okay to hit a woman once for every twelve times she hits you, the feminists I argued with told me I was wrong because all hits should be one for one, while the conservatives said the opposite and insisted you can never hit a woman no matter how many times she hits you. Republicans were equally irrational when Rush Limbaugh used the word “slut.” The left pretends women are big men, while the right insists they’re still little girls. I’m an egalitarian. If you want to play with the big boys and try to get a scoop by breaking the rules, you can’t act all incredulous when it doesn’t work out.I think the real reason so many people are jumping on this case is because they already hate Trump and hope this will solidify the accusation that Trump is a violent threat to our national security. We have become a nation of wimps who are so dangerously naive, we prefer infiltration to appearing intolerant. I don’t share this sensitivity. I believe the best way to deal with violence is better, stronger, smarter violence. If someone gets in your way, move them. If they attack you, wipe them out.

Donald Trump may pay legal fees of 78-year-old who punched a disrupter at a Trump rally
I didn't think we had these kind of men any more.
| 78-year-old John McGraw punched Jones and was charged with misdemeanor assault and battery and disorderly conduct and will return to court on April 6 |
| 26-year-old Rakeem Jones was flipping the bird as he was being escorted out of a Donald Trump rally in North Carolina on Wednesday |
