Every Time Democrats Talk, I Want To Vote For Trump Twice.

Tip of the hat to Glenn Reynolds (from The Federalist)
I am a highly motivated Trump voter because the Democrats have motivated me up to my eyeballs. I have never been more motivated in my life, because the Democrats are terrifying me.

I am a middle-of-the-road Republican who voted for Trump with the utmost reluctance in 2016. He sure wasn’t perfect. He was no Cicero, either––though he can give a decent speech when the chips are down. He had a few extra skeletons rattling in his closet, especially compared to colorless non-entities like Jeb. So yeah, I was queasy about voting for an ex-registered-Democrat-from-New-York-and-possible-liberal-now-turned-Republican.

Was I worried? Hell, yeah! Was I depressed? You bet. But, really, what options were there? Hillary? Jill Stein? Seriously? Trump wasn’t my first choice or my second choice or my third choice, but by the time November 2016 rolled around, Trump was the only choice on the menu. So I swallowed hard, took a leap of faith, and pulled the lever for the Donald.

And let me tell ya, every time one of these newly minted Democratic “stars” opens their mouth, the same thought goes through my mind: Thank God for Trump. Trump is my last line of defense. Trump is the only thing that stands between me and these hallucinogenic socialist nut jobs. Trump is what’s keeping chaos and left-wing insanity at bay.

Devout Catholic 'who used wrong pronoun to describe transgender girl' to be interviewed by police

The speech police came knocking.

It appears that the Nazis actually won World War 2 and they have come out of hiding.

When Caroline Farrow, a Catholic commentator, and transgender rights campaigner Susie Green, agreed to take part in a television debate about a controversial Girl Guides policy, producers would have expected differences of opinion.

But while the conversation on screen was certainly heated, it was what happened off-air when the pair continued the debate on Twitter that resulted in a six-month-long police investigation.

Mrs Farrow, a mother of five with strong religious views, allegedly used the wrong pronoun when referring to Ms Green's transgender daughter.

Sadiq Khan: London mayor says being prepared for terror attacks 'part and parcel' of living in a major city

Just a reminder.

Muslim activist berates right-wing Islamophobe white supremacist Chelsea Clinton

Mark Steyn:
All jihad is local, but all "Islamophobia" is global. So, if a Muslim of Afghan origin shoots up a gay nightclub in Florida and kills 49 people, that's just one crazed loner and no broader lessons can be discerned from his act. On the other hand, if a white guy shoots up two mosques in New Zealand and kills 50 people, that indicts us all, and we need to impose worldwide restraints on free speech to make sure it doesn't happen again. I'm ecumenical enough to mourn the dead in both gay clubs and mosques, but I wonder why we are so conditioned to accept Islamic terror as (in the famous words of London mayor Sadiq Khan) "part and parcel of living in a big city" that it is only the exceptions to the rule that prompt industrial-scale moral preening from politicians and media....

One of our Antipodean Steyn Club members, Kate Smyth, drew my attention to a fine example of that: After the Islamic terror attack in Melbourne four months ago, Muslim community leaders refused to meet with Aussie Prime Minister Scott Morrison because of all the systemic Islamophobia. After the Christchurch attack, the same Muslim community leaders are demanding a meeting with Morrison because of all the, er, systemic Islamophobia. To say Terror Attack A is something to do with Islam is totally Islamophobic; to refuse to say Terror Attack B is Islamophobic is even more totally Islamophobic.

Were the Queen or the Governor General to pull an Andrew Scheer and sign on to this somewhat selective view of the world's travails, it would necessarily imply that "Islamophobia" is now beyond and above politics, and in that sense beyond criticism. The use of "Islamophobia" in the Melbourne attack is, in fact, its standard deployment: it is an all-purpose card played to shut down any debate.

Not, of course, that there's much debate as it is. And there's likely to be even less in the future. Facebook, which is unable to devise algorithms preventing a depraved psychopath livestreaming mass slaughter on its platform, is busy fine-tuning its controls to expel the most anodyne dissenters from the social-justice pieties. Less speech inevitably means more violence - because, if you can't talk about anything, what's left but to shoot up the joint?

Thus the revolution devours its own. It goes without saying that right-wing madmen like Donald Trump and Andrew Scheer are to blame for Christchurch, but did you know that, when you peel back the conspiracy and discover who's really pulling the Trump-Scheer strings, you find Islamophobic white supremacist Chelsea Clinton?

We’re old enough to remember when RINOs and Dems asserted that Trump would wreck the US Constitution.

So far, Dems have proposed to eliminate the Electoral College, pack the SCOTUS, allow 16 year olds to vote, allow illegals to vote, grant reparations and institute a wealth tax.

The Biggest Higher Education Scam Isn’t Hollywood Fraud, It’s Academia Itself: The justifications for propping up universities, which often act as little more than elite sorting mechanisms as well as left-wing indoctrination centers, are growing thin.

Hat tip: Instapundit

Illegal new money bribery aside, the justifications for propping up universities, which often act as little more than elite sorting mechanisms as well as left-wing indoctrination centers, are growing thin.

The federal government spends $75 billion a year on higher education. Taxpayers also hold the ultimate dance card for the $1.5 trillion in outstanding student loan debt, much of which will likely not be fully repaid. For public universities, state-level funds also play a large role.

For their massive investment, Americans enjoy the fruits of their left-wing radicalism incubators in the form of a generation that views socialism as better than capitalism, free speech as dangerous, and America as irredeemably racist, sexist, and bigoted. And don’t forget the brilliant academic research co-authored by felines we all underwrite.

taxpayers would be forgiven for questioning the efficacy of a professor at an accredited university that receives federal funding publishing a paper on how she dealt with the death of her cat.

Getting Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar, and Rashida Tlaib elected is Roger Stone’s best dirty trick yet.

Analysis: TRUE.

Oh, THAT Shithole Press

Is it any wonder no one trusts the media?

It is no surprise that the media leans far more left than most of the population of the United States. When interviewed by researchers from Arizona State and Texas A&M Universities about their political leanings last year, more than 58 percent of financial journalists employed by such respected media outlets as the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, and Washington Post identified as somewhat liberal or very liberal. So is it any wonder they’re not even trying for objectivity any longer?

The researchers found that “financial journalists with liberal political views outnumber those with conservative political views by more than 13-to-1.” If these are financial journalists – reporters that are supposed to deal in economic facts and objective analysis – and most of them are liberal, can you imagine what the rest of the media community looks like?

Enter this goober, who wants us to believe that the reason the release of the redesigned Harriet Tubman $20 bill that was announced in 2016 by Obama’s Treasury Secretary Jack Lew was supposedly being “slow walked” by the current Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin is because – of course – Donald Trump is racist....

Meanwhile, NBC News has embarrassed itself by publishing this ridiculous opinion column based on nothing but racist griping by an obviously biased author....

At the very least every media outlet should demand that opinion pieces be based in some kind of fact, but it’s apparently more important to NBC News to publish a story pointing out once again how evil and racist Trump is without doing its due diligence and checking the facts.

Is it any wonder that no one trusts the news media any more?

FBI Malfeasance

Religion should look like and act like religion — or why bother?

A healthy religion is predicated on recognizing every individual’s divine spark. Based upon that premise, it sets out rules for living that optimize healthy relationships at both the broadest and smallest reaches of society. In that regard, I highly recommend Dennis Prager’s 10 Commandments videos, for they explain how the Commandments are not just irritating prohibitions against letting people “be free,” but are, instead, the surest pathway to a free, safe, and successful society. The Ten Commandments set out abstract principles that, once properly understood, can and should apply to all people regardless of race, color, country of national original, sex, sexual orientation, etc. Once a society catches on to this, you will not find a better place or time on earth to live.

..

But if that reform takes you away from central principles and even away from God himself, I ask again: Why bother? You don’t want religion; you just want to force a traditional institution to make you feel good about yourself. Worse, you’re willing to destroy the institution — and the benefits that accrue to society if the institution is an inherently healthy one — to reach that end.

UPDATE: This excellent article nicely discusses the way Leftists co-opt religion for nefarious ends.

UPDATE II: Coincidentally, my friend Mike McDaniel was thinking along lines similar to mine. He’s written a wonderful post about the way in which America’s churches are being torn asunder by Social Justice Warriors anxious to impose their left-wing values on traditional faiths — and to take off with all the money and buildings while they’re at it.

The Democratic Party’s Anti-Semitism Problem Is Obama’s Legacy

Prior to being elected president of the United States, Obama spent twenty years in the congregation of Jeremiah Wright. Wright’s anti-American and anti-Semitic remarks became a liability for Obama during the 2008 election but didn’t matter enough to the people who voted for him. Obama may have been forced to quit his church and distance himself from Wright, but that didn’t change who Obama was at heart—and it presented itself once he showed up to the White House.

Since the founding of the Jewish State in 1948, each president has affirmed the United States' commitment to the preservation of Israel and the safety of the Israeli people … with one exception. In his first year in office, Obama promised that his policies would put “daylight” between America and Israel, and he meant it. During his eight years in office, Obama surrounded himself with anti-Semites and Israel haters, and the Obama White House often aligned itself with Israel's enemies over Israel.

Obama's reverence for Islam is another clue.

Media Magic: How a Democrat Pedophile Became a ‘Trump Scandal’

Strangely, the media have suddenly taken an intense interest in the case of pedophile and major Democratic donor Jeffrey Epstein.
...
When Cassell and Edwards filed their case, they included the claims of various Epstein victims, who reported that the men at “Orgy Island,” where underage girls were being used as “sex slaves,” included Bill Clinton, Alan Dershowitz and Prince Andrew.

CNN gave extensive coverage to the celebrity-filled allegations, inviting Dershowitz on to defend himself and lavishing attention on the irrelevant prince. Amazingly, but characteristically, not once did CNN mention that Bill Clinton was named in the pleadings.

Only one show on MSNBC, “All In With Chris Hayes,” so much as acknowledged the bombshell case, also without letting on that Clinton had been named as a frequent Epstein guest by the child victims.

But recently, the very news outlets that spiked any news about this case for the past 13 years are suddenly hot on the trail of Jeffrey Epstein. Why the newfound sense of decency?

The answer is: Because they found a Trump connection. There’s a 2002 quote from Donald Trump saying nice things about Epstein and photographic proof that Epstein was one of the hundreds of thousands of people who have been to Mar-a-Lago. (There are rumors he has also been to the Grand Canyon and the Empire State Building.)

This is how the modern American media work: I’ll tell the same story that we’ve been frantically suppressing for a decade, connect it to Trump — and win a Pulitzer Prize!

THE TRIBE

The five stages in the political development of human society are Family, Clan, Tribe, City State and Nation State. But if you look closely, it becomes obvious that there are only three stages, Family, Clan and Tribe, for the City State and Nation State are simply, at their most fundamental level, just larger tribes.

A homogeneous Nation State is a stable state; a Nation State composed of competing tribes, whether religious or ethnic, is fragile, and becomes unstable when one of the tribes becomes dominant.

A multi-tribal Nation State can remain stable if there is some higher ethic binding the tribes together, as in the United States, but when that higher ethic erodes, the Nation State becomes unstable. This is what is happening in the West, as the very concept of a unique western culture is under attack by the left.

Western Europe and the Anglo-sphere countries are under assault, and are in danger of collapse as internal tribal antipathies are stoked by tribal elements claiming victimhood and demanding recompense by coercing their alleged oppressors into voluntarily assuming the position of victim. A portion of the alleged oppressor tribe will willingly and guiltily assume the role of victim and oppressor simultaneously, but the remaining portion will not, and will resist the efforts of the other tribe, or tribes, to reduce them to subservience, and a flash point is reached and internal tribal warfare erupts, fracturing the Nation State.

Yugoslavia is an example of a pan-tribal Nation State fracturing into its constituent tribal parts, though admittedly Yugoslavia was a manufactured pan-tribal state to begin with. So far Canada has managed to contain tribal Quebec from fracturing the Great White North, but it is only a matter of time before Quebec succeeds in seceding.

The Nation States of Western Europe were mostly homogeneous ethnically and religiously, but inviting great numbers of a competing and hostile religious tribe into their countries is already showing strains in the fabric of nationhood, and will only get worse.

In the United States the competing tribes are ethnic, not religious, and while the Caucasian tribe is still numerically dominant, that dominance is threatened by a low Caucasian birth rate and high birth rates among the two non-Caucasian tribes, the African and Mestizo tribes. It may be that the situation may result in a tripartite balance, and thus remain stable, but if the Caucasian tribe falls substantially below the other two tribes in population, then there will be severe instability and likely violence. Tribal loyalty tops all other loyalties, and it will be well to remember this.

At first I was a family, and then I was a clan
But when I grew into a tribe I then became a man
My tribe then built the city state and built the nations too
And then stepped back with conscious pride for all the world to view
And now my tribe is under siege, and falters in response
But faltering will be short-lived and only for the nonce
If they want war then war they’ll get, they know not what’s in store
My tribe, aroused, will teach them all the Western way of war

New Zealand Attack Shows Us That Tribal Score-Settling Has Infected the West

The attack on the mosques, like Anders Breivik's murderous rampage in idyllic Norway, happened in New Zealand, ironically rated in 2017 the safest country in the world after Iceland. It's a sad reminder that no place is exempt from ethnic conflict. Et in Arcadia ego sum, whether Arcadia is Africa, Burma, or Western China. Wherever populations mix under pressure there's the potential for volatility. As a New York Times article reminded its readers in 2014, the Rwandan massacre had its roots in the population cultpolicies of European governments....

But ethnic conflict in the Third World is a dog-bites-man story. What is new about the New Zealand attack is that the terrible plague of tribal score-settling and grievance mongering is now in the West. Not that the West is a stranger to ethnic conflict: the Holocaust, Generalplan Ost, Holodomor, and Polish and Armenian genocides are bywords in themselves. But it was widely assumed that WW2 had seen these off (until Bosnia) and the risks of multiculturalism and mass immigration could be mitigated by immunosuppressive strategies like political correctness and demographic replacement, of which the EU project is a textbook example.

Yet events since 2016 indicate that this strategy is failing despite the suppressants. Pressure from the root causes — whether European colonialism, Islamic slave trading, 9/11, the War on Terror, multiculturalism, populism — are burning through the medication. The old devils are on the loose and the problem is what to do now. One option is to deliver even higher doses of political correctness and demographic replacement. But perhaps the absolute worst thing politicians can do is respond by collecting guns, imposing hate speech restrictions, and announcing open borders. In the current atmosphere of distrust toward authority, such actions can destroy the only asset a state faced with ethnic conflict has: the public belief that it is above the fray and won't sell anyone out. That quantity can itself run out and therein lies the danger.

How the media covers up for politicians they like

How Reuters uncovered Beto O'Rourke's teenage hacking days.

They wouldn’t confirm that it was this person unless I promised that I wouldn’t write about it until after the November election. That’s because the member of Congress had decided to run for Senate. Beto O’Rourke is who it was.

So Reuters waited until the election was over.

Steele admits he used posts from 'random individuals' on CNN website for Trump dossier

Rick Moran @ American Thinker

The dossier that launched several investigations into Donald Trump and his presidential campaign was based, in part, on posts from "random individuals" from a CNN website that allows the public to publish unverified information.

Christopher Steele made the admission in a deposition given in connection with a lawsuit against the dossier. The judge released portions of the deposition this week.

Washington Examiner:
According to deposition transcripts released this week, Steele said last year he used a 2009 report he found on CNN's iReport website and said he wasn't aware that submissions to that site are posted by members of the public and are not checked for accuracy.

A web archive from July 29, 2009 shows that CNN described the site in this manner: "iReport.com is a user-generated site. That means the stories submitted by users are not edited, fact-checked, or screened before they post."

The FBI was able to obtain several FISA warrants based on the dossier. Was the FISA judge told that some of the information was from an internet crank?

He was pressed on this further: "Do you understand that CNN iReports are or were nothing more than any random individuals' assertions on the Internet?" Steele replied: "No, I obviously presume that if it is on a CNN site that it may has [sic] some kind of CNN status. Albeit that it may be an independent person posting on the site."

When asked about his methodology for searching for this information, Steele described it as "what we could call an open source search," which he defined as "where you go into the Internet and you access material that is available on the Internet that is of relevance or reference to the issue at hand or the person under consideration."

Steele said his dossier contained "raw intelligence" that he admitted could contain untrue or even "deliberately false information."

When in doubt, Google it.

The FBI was aware of Steele's "sources" but still used the dossier to convince a FISA judge to issue a warrant against Trump campaign aide Carter Page. That the FBI has, to this day, refused to verify the authenticity of the information in the dossier is not surprising. A document as flawed as this should never have been presented to a FISA court as justification for granting a warrant to spy on Carter Page. It makes the FBI look ridiculous.

THIS IS WORSE THAN I THOUGHT.
