Biden Lied, Americans Died

The Biden Afghanistan disaster is worse than you thought!

While Biden's panicked evacuation from Afghanistan was going on, it had failed so badly that staffers from his own wife’s office were contacting private rescue groups to get people out.

This is one of the many damning revelations in the report by Rep. McCaul for the Republican minority on the House Foreign Affairs Committee. The interim report, "A Strategic Failure" was conducted despite every possible effort by the White House and House Democrats to stop it, including blocking information requests and keeping briefings unnecessarily classified.

With the revelations that the State Department is actively refusing to cooperate with the Special Inspector General on Afghanistan Reconstruction, this report is more urgent than ever.

Forced to rely on personal interviews and public non-classified testimony, the report reveals that Biden had made it a "priority" to maintain an embassy in Kabul even after he had withdrawn the troops and the country was on the verge of falling to the advancing Taliban terror forces.

“POTUS was publicly making it clear that this was a priority. Ambassador Wilson began stating that ‘I am maniacal about the Embassy remaining in Kabul,’” a military officer described.

Secretary of State Blinken and other State Department officials in D.C. and in Kabul refused to consider the possibility of a Taliban takeover. Only Blinken and his department could order an evacuation, and they refused to seriously plan for one until a week before the fall of Kabul.

Military officials were prevented from even discussing an evacuation, being told, “don’t say NEO” and “This is not a NEO for Afghanistan.” NEO stands for Non-Combatant Evacuation.

Biden’s refusal to listen to advisers who told him to maintain a minimal military force on the ground almost led to an even worse disaster as the only remaining airport was overrun.

With American forces under fire, Air Force pilots and maintenance personnel were handed guns and told to stand guard. Had the Taliban wanted to overrun the airport, they could have done so.

Cone of Silence

It looks as if with the official departure of the US military from Kabul, a media cone of silence perpetuated by the National Establishment Media has descended over the whole ghastly mess, leaving a good many of us who have been following the chaotic and bloody disaster that it was with unanswered questions. Like – exactly how many Americans were left behind in Afghanistan? American citizens and employees of international and US-sponsored NGOs, or dual nationals home visiting relatives in the “Old Country” over the summer vay-cay? A couple of hundred? Or thousands? Independent military reporter Michael Yon and others across the indy blogosphere reported that American citizens – with their passports in hand – were turned away from entering the Kabul Airport by the US Army, and it is those people who are stranded in Afghanistan now. Well, maybe. Between the proverbial fog of war and the cone of silence – a great many questions remain.

Where, for instance – are the tearful and ecstatic airport reunions with their families, of Americans who did manage to get out of Kabul? You’d think that regional news stations would have a bumper crop of stories about local people who are coming home and have breathless tales of their escape to tell. Of course, according to Peter Grant, who posted a couple of days ago, escape lines are still being run, and a lot of people who got out of Afghanistan alive have damned good reason to keep quiet about who guided, sheltered, and assisted them. There are at least as many stories of American military and diplomatic staff sabotaging such efforts, which certainly would prove embarrassing to them, if names and offices are specifically mentioned.

No coverage of the troops – the Army, Air Force and Marines who deployed to Kabul – returning home, for the joyful reunion with their families and friends? No joyous reunions of spouses and children at the falling-out formation on the flight line or the parade deck. Military media lives for that stuff, as I would know from personal experience. But nothing since the last American aircraft officially departed on the 30th. Gee, that’s … curious. It’s as if they are all returning without any notice being taken at all, officially, or media-wise.

Where are the heart-rending stories of the Afghani refugees themselves – their hairbreadth escapes, their hopes and dreams and reasons for departing? They’re at military bases scattered here and there, including at Fort Mccoy. There are some pictures of the various camps and facilities in local media … but not much else. The cone of silence is well clamped down. It’s as if the Biden Administration just wants the whole debacle to go away.

Of course they do – it’s not as if any of those at the top who bear responsibility for the disaster want to hear another word, especially from interested veterans. The FICUS himself probably got an unavoidable earful from the families of the thirteen killed in the suicide bombing at the Abbey gate. I myself hope that Milley and Sec Def Austin are spat upon so often that they spend the rest of their lives treading water. Discuss as you wish.

Psaki: 'A Record 331 Million Americans Have Not Been Abandoned In Afghanistan'

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Press Secretary Jen Psaki lauded the Biden administration for not abandoning a record 331 million Americans in Afghanistan.

According to sources, an unprecedented 331,128,473 Americans are living safely in America and are not abandoned in Afghanistan. This number is 91,543 higher than last week's number, as approximately 91,543 babies were born in America this week.

"What the President has accomplished is simply unparalleled," said Psaki, wiping a tear from her eye. "It's like the Berlin airlift and Dunkirk had a beautiful love child, and that was this evacuation. We think we got about 96% of Americans out, which is A+ homework material, and on top of it all, we turned our homework in early. Boom. Eat that, Peter Doocy."

While the administration did acknowledge that around 250 Americans were stranded in Afghanistan, they are pretty sure 248 of them are Republican. It is believed that tens of thousands of green card holders and Afghan allies are also trapped, but the administration anticipates that will get lost pretty quickly in the news cycle.

Critics pointed out that Biden did not uphold his promise to rescue all Americans, and on top of that gave those still trapped one less day to attempt the dangerous road to the airport. Sources inside the administration say they are sick and tired of journalists saying things like that, instead of praising them for being so awesome.

"We at the White House are frankly fed up with not getting the credit we deserve for being so amazing," said Psaki. "Where's the 'Hey Jen, I'm so impressed with how you ended the Afghanistan war, would you like to expand on how great you are?' Come on, let's be glass-half-full kind of people!"

EVERYTHING IS GOING SWIMMINGLY: Biden asks for ‘contingency plans’ to extend Afghanistan withdrawal in stunning reversal.

I believe the taliban told him to go. But hey, I thought he had this…

All the makings of a perfect flaming shit storm.

This just officially stopped being the Afghan War and became the Joe Biden War.

Everyone owned a piece of the Afghan War. This one’s all his. His and whoever gets stuck in it.

Epic folly unfolding before our eyes. It didn’t have to be like this.

Advanced petard hoistment. Closing the barn door a day late and a dollar short. They all work. Way to go, Joe.

And it will all be at other people’s expense.

The Responsibility is Yours

Biden's a victim of Alzheimer's.  What's going on now, for little girls being kidnapped as sex slaves, for people being tortured in Afghanistan, for Americans trapped there with no way out, for inflation destroying the lives of old and poor people, for our energy dependency on the Muslim oil-producing states and Russia, for skyrocketing murders in inner cities devoid of police, for COVID’s (and crime’s, especially sex crime’s) spread through America cities as the illegal aliens pouring in from across the world are joined by Afghans.  THAT'S ON YOU!

Meltdown of a Superpower

It is not just that General Milley and the Joint Buffoons of Staff cannot plan; they cannot execute. Compare the 2,500 Americans evacuated from Kabul over this last week to the 7,000 Americans and allies choppered out of Saigon in just nineteen hours. Can Milley do anything in nineteen hours other than call his tailor and order up his next row of ribbonry?

The Taliban know an American humiliation when they see one, and for the moment they're content to let Austin and Milley and the rest of Washington's worthless elite dig deeper. Aside from that, the mullahs are waggish enough to tease western media with hints of a "broad-based government", although we all know that in the end the broad-based government won't be based on broads. Other than that, the Sharia crowd confine any direct engagement with the Great Loser Satan to social media trolling, such as recreating (in American uniforms left at Bagram or elsewhere) Iwo Jima with the Taliban flag (top right).

Funnier than Colbert and Fallon and the other court eunuchs, but who isn't? And once again you get the feeling that these guys know us rather better than all the Ivy League tosspots of the world's most ludicrous "elite" know them. On the subject of which, see the Tweeted video of the brother of Afghanistan's president (the guy who fled with 169 mil in American tax dollars) joining the Taliban.

Enjoy it while you can: the big beards are not going to audition for Comedy Central indefinitely. Having won a spectacular victory, the beneficiaries of two decades of American "nation-building" will at some point want their international airport back.

This is a human tragedy for those desperate to flee Afghanistan. But, as I've said repeatedly, for everyone else this is a story about America. We like to think of our site as a big-picture pad, so what would that be in this scenario? Well, the big picture is that, after the dissolution of the Soviet Union, the United States blew its unipolar moment and has chosen to surrender the world, after half-a-millennium, to post-western dominance. Whatever the truth of Biden's charge that the money-no-object Afghan National Army went over to the other side, there is no question that key elements of American national power have gone over to China's side: the Chamber of Commerce, Hollywood, the NBA, not to mention the Wuhan Institute of Virology's protectors at the CDC and NIH; oh, and the Five Eyes intelligence alliance, at least two of whom have checked out with respect to anything to do with China...

The upside of defeat in Afghanistan

Right now the nation is facing its second defeat in the last 50 years.  First, we were defeated in Viet Nam.  Now we are defeated in Afghanistan.  Tens of thousands of our citizens are trapped behind enemy lines.  The country is reeling from this disaster.

But there's the upside.  This is a defeat, a disaster so blatant, so avoidable, so close to everyone in the country that it can't be covered up.  We're watching it live on TV.  Keep in mind that this disaster was brought to you by the same people who thought that this was a smart idea.  White House intern skipping around the office.

And that means it's an opportunity to change the direction of the country.

Conservatives - and I am persuaded that includes most of the people in this country - know in their bones that the country was headed in the wrong direction.  This country was rapidly being consumed by the Left.  The Left was triumphant everywhere you looked: culture, academia, government, law, medicine, churches, and especially the media were steering the country in the direction they wanted it to go.  And those who objected were canceled, destroyed, even imprisoned.

Now suddenly, in the space of a few days, the Left crashed.  The political leaders of the Left: Biden, Loyd Austin, General Milley, Kamela Harris, Anthony Blinken the rest of the Biden administration, have crashed.

The Afghanistan debacle was not the fault of the men who fought there, but the leaders who failed, and lied.  They failed and lied so spectacularly that even its handmaidens in the press are unable to spin their way out of this.

Roger Kimball writes:

The Rotten Edifice Revealed

In Afghanistan, the technocratic legitimacy of our administrative masters is being exploded.

The problem is, of course, the wondrous world of instant communications. We have all seen these videos of the Taliban manhandling the crowds outside the gates of the airport, not to mention the scads of anxious reports from people trapped in their homes, awaiting a knock on the door from the Taliban, and news reports of the condemnation of the Biden Administration by the British Parliament. And there is the now-iconic image of that gigantic military transport plane lumbering down the runway in Kabul, surrounded by hundreds, maybe thousands, of Afghans, some of whom clung to the landing gear only to fall from the plane after it took off.

Afghanistan is becoming the largest hostage crisis in our history, making Jimmy Carter's hostage crisis in Iran disappear into irrelevance.  Where are we headed?   We are in for a reckoning.

For that we have the bumbling, mentally incontinent Joe Biden to thank, he and his clown car of self-absorbed spiritually adipose bureaucrats who prance about in a cloud of self-importance, shedding disaster like dandruff.

But they're simply the end result of a nation that has killed tens of millions of its children in the womb, where actual educational institutions charge obscene sums to teach children to hate their parents, their religion, their country, and people with different skin colors.  Where inept government officials perform medical experiments on an entire world while lying that it's about science.

There is a God and he punishes sin.  And there has been a lot of sinning.  The Israel of the Bible learned this lesson numerous times.  But he forgives those who repent.
