Chris Matthews called Christians opposed to abortion fascists.

In all the controversy about Trumps responses to Christ Matthews badgering about abortion, what has been overlooked is that Matthews actually called people who oppose abortion Fascists.

Let's go to the transcript:

TRUMP: So you're against the teachings of your Church?

MATTHEWS: I have a view -- a moral view -- but I believe we live in a free country, and I don't want to live in a country so fascistic that it could stop a person from making that decision.

There is no getting around it. Oppose abortion and, according to a leading member of the media and Democrat - but I repeat myself - opposing abortion is fascistic.

Let there be no question about it: Democrats not only celebrate abortion, demand abortion on demand up to - and after - delivery of the child - but believe that Christians who are apposed are Fascists.

HILLARY: Oh, my pleasure Chris.

CHRIS MATTHEWS: Madam Secretary, what was your initial reaction when you heard the Christie people are blaming a YouTube video for the George Washington bridge lane closings?

HILLARY: Oh gosh, Chris. Not only is it shameful to blame a harmless video that nobody has seen for the massacre on that bridge, but to hide behind a lie in order to avoid responsibility is … well, it’s unconscionable.

HILLARY: What kind of people are capable of such acts of cowardice, Chris? It’s deplorable, inexcusable and frankly, it’s un- American.

TRENTON – This afternoon staff members loyal to New Jersey Governor Chris Christie alleged that the September closing of traffic lanes leading to the George Washington bridge was the result of a spontaneous reaction to an anti-Islam YouTube video. Although Gov. Christie has apologized for “unwittingly” misleading the public, calling the bridge closing “embarrassing and humiliating,” his staffers have nevertheless filed a complaint with the justice department, calling for an FBI investigation. Christie spokesman Collin Reed read a brief statement to reporters.

“The information, the best information and the best assessment we have today is that in fact these were not preplanned, premeditated lane closings. That what happened was a spontaneous reaction to a vile and despicable film that pokes fun at the prophet Mohammad. Let me state very clearly and I hope it is obvious, that the New Jersey Governor’s office had absolutely nothing to do with this insensitive video. We absolutely reject its content and message and call for the immediate investigation of its filmmaker.”

After attending a fundraiser at Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein’s Malibu home today, President Obama was asked by reporters to comment on the latest news out of New Jersey.

And I find it even harder to believe the American people are gullible enough to accept such a ludicrous story. The American people aren’t stupid.”

(Looks at Robinson) What the heck is going on in New Jersey, my African American friend? Is this Chris Christie’s dress stain? His illegitimate love-child? His toe-tap in the airport men’s room?

EUGENE ROBINSON: Well I ….

CHRIS MATTHEWS: And my God, what about the covert racism? Are Republicans ever going to evolve from the Jim Crow era? Did you happen to notice how many times Gov. Christie said bridge during his mea culpa?

EUGENE ROBINSON: Uh, another racial code word?

CHRIS MATTHEWS: Ha! Look at you, Eugene, playing naive! Ha! Why doesn’t Christie just wear his white hood to press conferences?

EUGENE ROBINSON: I think …

CHRIS MATTHEWS: But the gall, Eugene … laying the blame for the lane closings on a video nobody’s seen? Is that the best they can do? How stupid do these white men think we are? Is it any wonder Republicans have alienated women and Hispanics? Huh? Talk to me my African American friend.

An Obama Shown to be a Liar is Vulnerable as Old Scandals Resurface

You may have noticed that old scandals, ones that had been buried by a media complicit in the Obama cover-up, are beginning to be mentioned again?  For a long time you were considered a nut if you dared bring up Fast & Furious or any of the other nefarious activities Obama has been involved in.

Now that Obama's lies are open for everyone - even the most uninformed - to see, It's no longer a sign of derangement to mention them. 

Here's PJ Media's David Solway in an article about Obama's desire to fatally weaken Israel, in which he mentions some history that propagandists like Chris Matthews does not want to see resurrected:

Regrettably, it has taken much of the world five more years to realize that Obama is a trained prevaricator of the first water, whether the issue is government transparency, receding oceans, competitive bidding, citizen surveillance, deficit cutting, the closing of Gitmo, unilateral military action, Fast and Furious, Obamacare, and, in the realm of foreign policy, Iran and Israel. Obama’s evasions and hollow assurances on this latter file demonstrably imperil the future of the Middle East and, quite possibly, the safety of the planet. It certainly spells imminent danger for Israel.

It's no longer absurd to ask what Obama's lied about when he lies about little things like having met his uncle or big, big lies like ObamaCare.  Fast & Furious is a scandal with death at it's result.  Benghazi is a scandal where men were deliberately left to die so that Obama could win an election.  

Don't you wonder why so many of Obama's Kenyan relatives live in the US?

Matthews, Soap Opera and the Fanbois ("HE came amongst us.")

Rush Limbaugh calls it the “Soap Opera” playing out in the heads of the media. Ace of Spades calls it the “MacGuffin” and both are saying pretty much the same thing. The media are not interested in the American people and how Obama is destroying an entire culture. The media are focused on Obama, the “Hero” in the movie - or soap opera - playing in their heads.

Limbaugh:

"The object of the [a soap opera] is entertainment through a daily, hokey maintenance of suspense," i.e., Crisis. The Democrat Party, every day a new crisis. "This necessarily requires the viewer's suspension of disbelief, particularly when it comes to the lead characters. Depending on what improbable twists and turns the plot must take to meet the demands of day-in-day-out drama, the stars of the show slip seamlessly from villain's to hero's role, from incorrigible vice to transcendent virtue.

"Soap fans buy in because they know it is not real. It is, to the contrary, their escape from reality. Politics is our reality. It only seems like soap opera because of the way it is covered: Right into your living room, day-in-day-out, celebrity journalists present the adventures of their fellow dramatis personae, celebrity pols. The journalists portray politics, moreover, as suspense," the daily horse race. How's Obama doing? It's not whether Obamacare's decent, not whether it's harmful, not whether it's constitutional.  But is Obama gonna be helped or is Obama going to be hurt?

Ace of Spades:

Politics is now a MacGuffin in American politics, at least for the frothing fanbois of the Hero Barack Obama.

It doesn't matter what his goals actually are -- it only matters that he succeeds in those quests, whatever they might be.

And this isn't a new phenomenon, either. Since the beginning of this movie, the fanbois have cared very little for MacGuffins (notice they don't care how many thousands of Americans have died in Afghanistan), but have been intensely interested in the Hero's emotional response to it all.

You root for the Hero to win because you like the Hero -- not because you're particularly invested in the Hero's actual goals. And you despise the Villains simply because they're standing in the way of the Hero's triumph.

Chris Matthews sums up, neatly, his only genuine interest in American politics for the past five years:

“We have real people in this country with real power and status who have used that status of power to hurt the country so they could hurt the president.”

Only the Hero matters. The MacGuffin never does.

The Hero is our hopes and dreams. And the Hero has come to us; he has come amongst us.

Chris Matthews invokes the King James Version of the Bible as he talks of his god:

 “HE came amongst us.”  

He really said that!

 Fanatical followers, “fanbois,” he of the thrill up his leg. It will go down as one of the great “tells.” At this point you realize that idolatry is not an ancient concept but is alive and well in Progressive America.  The people you see above are not reporters, they are acolytes, apostles, followers, writing a movie script in which the American people are extras whose lives don't matter.  The people are the background over which their play is staged.  Their lives, their deaths, their dreams are unimportant.  Death in Afghanistan; who cares?  Losing your health insurance and your doctor; so what?  Lost your job and can't find another; so what?  What's important, in focus, crucial, is how HE feels, how HE achieves his goals, how HE wins the MacGuffin.  Meanwhile the producers of this soap opera are wealthy and don't have to worry about the things that the Country Class worries about.  If these people ever became self-aware could they live with themselves?

Matthews is facing tough competition in the "on-air crazy" department so he's amping up the volume to compete with the other certifiable loons on MSNBC. 

That tingle up his leg may be the result of his electric shock treatments for a serious mental disorder.

Chris Matthews: "The Sun Is Racist"

Well, Chis didn't exactly say that, but he meant to say it.  You know about dog whistles don't you?

Glenn Reynolds links to an article about the reason that fried chicken is now a racist term.

WHO DOESN’T LIKE FRIED CHICKEN? Why remarks about race and fried chicken elicit such raw feelings.

The article Culinary Racism gives various explanations going back to slavery.

The most obvious explanation derives from the historical fact that fried chicken dishes were popular in slave homes on Southern plantations. In many cases, chickens were the only livestock animals that slaves were permitted to raise on their own, and—given that Scots founded much of the American South—there’s speculation that African-Americans tweaked and perfected their masters’ imported tradition of frying birds.

But there's a problem with this because lots of people like fried chicken: A lot of it is regional: people in the South are perceived to like friend chicken more than their northern counterparts. The South is poorer than the North and chicken is less expensive than beef so the fondness for chicken could be explained by relative wealth. I'm a Dutch immigrant and I love fried chicken; does that make me Black? Should I avoid serving friend chicken at any gathering where Blacks are present? If my Black friends serve friend chicken are they self-hating?

Let me propose an alternative explanation. The fried chicken=racist equation was created by the very powerful Race Industry. As an illustration of how these associations are created we need only refer to some of the Liberal race hustlers of today who tell us that:

• Lazy=racists
• Colored=racist (ever since the RI invented other terms)
• Negro=racist  (ever since the RI invented other terms)
• Niggardly=racist (out of ignorance a perfectly good word was outlawed)
• Boy=racist
• Cotton pickin’=racist
• Urban=racist  (this really is a euphemism when used by the "good people")
• “shuck and jive”=racist (except when Chris Matthews or Andrew Coumo uses it)
• “this president”=racist
• Chicago=racist
• References to golf (if played by Obama)=racist
• Whitewash=racist
• Limbaugh=racist (just because)

Before this list gets too long, let’s just go with the Chris Matthews definition of racist to include any criticism of Barack Obama. In fact, it is fair to broaden that to include any criticism of Blacks (can I say that; is that still the accepted term?) as racist. That’s why I was so shocked to see the Miami police department preparing for an "Urban Beach Weekend" without being accused of blatant racism. Now that it’s been pointed out, expect the “Justice Brothers” to hop on a plane and lead the demonstrations.

And I'm assured the Oversight Committee is looking into claims by certain witnesses that, A, things are different then they seem, and B, that they've been blocked by the State Department in some ways, intimidated.

CHRIS MATTHEWS: What is – what are they trying to get out? What is the message of the so-called whistle-blowers?

PARKER: Well, what happened in terms of whether they did request extra security, what happened on the day of, and what happened afterward?

MATTHEWS: Well, what is – what is the message?

PARKER: I can't tell you that because no one will tell me. All I can tell you is that they assure me, they assure me that whatever comes out on Wednesday and in ensuing meetings, that will contradict the official line.

MATTHEWS: Okay, we'll see.

DAVID IGNATIUS [COLUMNIST, WASHINGTON POST]: This is Fox News's super-story.

PARKER: I know Fox has been covering it...

MATTHEWS: This is a big Fox story.

PARKER: ...but, you know, that doesn't mean it's wrong.

MATTHEWS: Now just if these whistle-blowers have something to do, why don't they whistle it on background, so we'd know what they're talking about?

But take heart, victims of Hurricane Sandy. Your lives may be ruined, but try to see the bigger picture: At least President Obama didn’t have to give a concession speech.
