Cici Connelly, on Brit Hume’s Fox News show yesterday claimed that “close to 100” American prisoners have been murdered by the military. Brit Hume asked “How many?” with incredulity in his voice, but Ceci persisted in her claim of 100 homicides.
Where did this nice round number come from? What are her sources? Even Amnesty International only claims 27 and ,on further examination, that includes people whose cause of death has not been determined, who died in riots and for other unexplained reasons.
So Ceci, I understand that the Washington Post typically makes stories up of whole cloth and peddles them as news, as did your sister publication, Newsweek. Care to comment?
