Deadlines

Bud Norman wonders where the nuclear negotiations with the apocalyptic Mullahs of Iran will end.  What will Obama give them? keeping in mind that some State Department official said that we don't allow foreign inspections of our military sites, it follows that demanding to see Iran's to check on their nukes - which they say they say they are not developing and if they are they're for peaceful purposes - is obviously bad.

Our guess is that the Iranians are holding out for a deal that will require America to provide them with a sizable nuclear arsenal, along with the needed inter-continental ballistic missiles that can deliver them to Tel Aviv and Riyadh and Paris and any other locales that offend their religious sensibilities, along with the global positioning system coordinates needed to land them there, and that the final sticking point that requires yet another deadline will be whether New York City and Los Angeles and Wichita are also included in the bargain. New York City and Los Angeles are full of reliably Democratic voters, so that would be the sort of sticking point that would require a couple more deadlines to be set, but we expect that some unnamed senior U.S. official or another will find something in America’s sinful past and current policies that makes it unfair to object to the nuclear annihilation of such as reliably Republican town as Wichita.

The president’s foreign policy legacy is at stake, after all, and almost any deal that’s cooked up can somehow been portrayed by the obeisant press as some sort of triumph, so surely that’s worth another two or three or four or however many deadlines are required to get there.

State Department Officially Calls Iran’s Forced Sex Change Surgeries ‘Confirmation’

A report issued Thursday by the Department of State repeatedly refers to sex reassignment surgery in Iran as “gender-confirmation surgery.”

Speaking at the release of the State Department’s annual human rights report, Secretary of State John Kerry said of the designation that “There is nothing sanctimonious in this,” emphasizing the need for “humility” in the face of the U.S.’ own racial inequality. The State Department did not respond to a request for clarification by The Daily Caller News Foundation.

Iran has a well-documented record of coercing gay and lesbian people into having the gender reassignment surgery, that is, disrupting rather than “confirming” the gender identity of hundreds per year. Since homosexuality can be punishable by death in Iran, known homosexual men tend to accept the government-subsidized surgery to become women, and vice versa.

The Roberts Court

One of the most common beliefs about the way that John Roberts has voted on ObamaCare is that he's doing so to preserve the Supreme Court from ferocious attacks by the Liberal elite.  Commentators beleive that Roberts caved to political pressure, fearing that opposing Obama and the left would "de-legitimize the Court."

There is no question that the major organs of public opinion would have been hysterical if ObamaCare had been gutted or gay marriage had not put on the same pedestal as abortion on demand.

So Roberts chose to protect the Supreme Court from the wrath of the New York Times and NPR. The Constitution was left to fend for itself.

Love Her or Hate Her, Ann Coulter Warned Us About John Roberts 10 Years Ago

After conservatives took another gut punch from black-robed Obamacare cheerleader Chief Justice John Roberts, many of us were left wondering just what in the heck is wrong with this guy. After all, these Republican appointees to the Supreme Court are supposed to be on our side, right? They can’t all be David Souter.

It turns out that Ann Coulter sniffed another Souter-esque betrayal in the offing ten years ago:

After pretending to consider various women and minorities for the Supreme Court these past few weeks, President Bush decided to disappoint all the groups he had just ginned up and nominate a white male.

So all we know about him for sure is that he can't dance and he probably doesn't know who Jay-Z is. Other than that, he is a blank slate. Tabula rasa. Big zippo. Nada. Oh, yeah ... We also know he's argued cases before the Supreme Court. Big deal; so has Larry Flynt's attorney.

But unfortunately, other than that that, we don't know much about John Roberts. Stealth nominees have never turned out to be a pleasant surprise for conservatives. Never. Not ever.

Since the announcement, court-watchers have been like the old Kremlinologists from Soviet days looking for clues as to what kind of justice Roberts will be.

-- Will he let us vote?

-- Does he trust democracy? Or will he make all the important decisions for us and call them "constitutional rights"?

-- Does he live in a small, rough-hewn cabin in the woods of New Hampshire and avoid "womenfolk"?

It means absolutely nothing that NARAL and Planned Parenthood attack him: They also attacked Sandra Day O'Connor, Anthony Kennedy and David Hackett Souter.

The only way a Supreme Court nominee could win the approval of NARAL and Planned Parenthood would be to actually perform an abortion during his confirmation hearing, live, on camera, and preferably a partial-birth one.
Read the whole thing.

Ann Coulter is very, very smart ... and fast with a quip which hides the fact that she's wise. We tend to support those who are attacked by Liberals, but as Ann points out, Liberals will attack anyone who has not come out - loudly and strongly - for abortion, gun control and government control of everything. This causes us to fall into the trap of supporting people with personal agendas that have nothing to do with the good of the country and protecting the right of everyone to live the life as they see fit.

On a related note, Roberts came out against the the judicial decree making gay marriage the law of the land. I suspect that this is his attempt to make up with conservatives, giving a throw-away vote to the dissent, knowing his vote was not needed to change the definition of marriage. had his vote been needed one can be sure that he would have switched positions.

DONALD TRUMP’S NEIL YOUNG COUNTERPUNCH PERSONIFIES HIS APPEAL

Donald-Trump-and-Neil-Young

If our Media Elite are wondering from their velvet bubbles why Donald Trump has captured the imagination of Republican voters, that can be summed up in a single word: fight. The Donald is fearless, and he fights like a Leftist, not a milquetoast Republican henpecked by the media into a soft-bellied Walter Mitty who dreams of but will never be president.
Trump might not win all of his battles, and he may not always be right, but no one who takes a swing at him walks away unmarked, and that kind of confidence and bravado is the stuff of winners and leaders, not losers who lost the moment they surrendered to the media’s emotional blackmail and lies about “Just compromise on this and we’ll like you.”
For his presidential announcement, Donald Trump did what every dim-witted Republican eventually does — earn another news cycle that puts him on defense because some singer somewhere has publicly complained about the unlicensed use of a song. The media love this story, mainly because their primary goal is to disqualify the Republican by making him look weak, ineffectual, and incompetent.
The song in Trump’s case was Neil Young’s not-very-good “Rockin’ In the Free World.” It played twice during his presidential announcement rally, and almost immediately resulted in what I knew was coming the moment I heard it:
“Donald Trump was not authorized to use ‘Rockin’ In The Free World’ in his presidential candidacy announcement,” a statement from Young’s manager read. “Neil Young, a Canadian citizen, is a supporter of Bernie Sanders for President of the United States of America.”
At this point in this age-old GOP tale, the Republican rolls over like a whipped dog and waits for the bad news cycle to end as America asks itself how the guy in the fetal position will handle ISIS.
Not so with Trump.

This morning Neil Young looks like the whipped, hypocritical, petulant, ungrateful puppy….

In February of 1980, everything changed for presidential-candidate Ronald Reagan when he demanded access to a microphone he paid for. Some of Reagan’s detractors claim he set-up and staged the moment, as though that somehow isn’t even more impressive.
In 1988, George H.W. Bush destroyed the “wimp” narrative hampering his presidential run by dismantling Dan Rather in front of the whole world.
What Sen. John McCain (R-AZ)43%
and Mitt Romney and almost all of the Republican Party apparently fail to understand is that you can disagree with someone and still respect them. Respect wins votes because it inspires confidence. And no one, not even those who agree with him, respects a coward who genuflects to his own enemies, especially those in the mainstream media.
In 1988, I was a Jesse Jackson Democrat (and have the campaign buttons to prove it), but after H.W.’s showdown with Rather, my entire opinion of the man changed. He might be wrong about everything, I thought, but at least he’s got some sand.
Trump has his flaws, but he’s no coward. He stands up for himself, fights back, doesn’t allow the media to live in his head, and by God that belligerence is refreshing.
Trump showed me what he was made of during the birth certificate uproar. For years, Democrats and the media were overjoyed with the lingering, fringe issue surrounding Obama’s legal citizenship. That’s why neither the media nor Obama ever wanted to put the issue to rest — even though it was a fringe issue, it was used to relentlessly club all of the GOP like a baby seal.
Trump had the stones to demand a resolution, and he got it. And as a result, a cynical and powerful weapon used against even we conservatives who were not Birthers vanished.
Trump took hell over that, he still does — simply for demanding full transparency from a politician.
Trump’s crusade was not only righteous, it benefited the GOP and the country in incalculable ways.
Hillary Clinton is neither likable nor honest — but she demands respect. That makes up for her legions of flaws and looks a lot more presidential than watching our guys fecklessly attempt to ingratiate themselves to a media that would rather see them dead than president.
The media elite are sure Trump will be bad for the Republican presidential field as a whole. Maybe so. But only if no one in that field has what it takes to take Trump on. And if this field doesn’t have the fortitude to take on Trump, they have absolutely no chance against the Clinton Machine and its media allies.
Better we learn that now.

BEHEADING AT FRENCH FACTORY
'ISLAMIST ATTACK'

Man decapitated as severed head is 'covered in Arabic writing' and hung on a fence next to Islamist flag at factory in France after terrorists storm building and set off 'gas bomb' explosions

A man has been decapitated and dozens more injured at a gas product factory in France by terrorists carrying Islamist banners.
The attack took place at the headquarters of the American owned Air Products, in Saint-Quentin-Fallavier, near the city of Lyon, in the south east of the country.

The murder is believed to have been accompanied by several explosions on the site cause by a terrorist igniting small 'gas bombs' that injured dozens of factory workers. It is believed the explosions may have intended to blow up the entire factory site but failed.

The murdered man's head is understood to have been found 30 feet away from his body, hanging on the factory's fence. The dead man's head was covered in Arabic 'inscriptions' before being placed on the fence, according to local journalists at the scene.

A 30-year-old man who was known to security services since at least 2008 has already been arrested at the scene, telling police officers that he is a member of the Islamic State terror group. The man is believed not to have a criminal record but was considered to have 'possibly been radicalised'.

There remains a great deal of confusion over whether a second terrorist was involved and has now gone on the run, or whether a 'lone wolf' jihadi had actually killed the victim elsewhere and transported his body to site, confusing eyewitnesses.

This will be blamed on White Supremacists; just wait for it.

House bill would force the Supreme Court to enroll in ObamaCare

It's only fair and entirely logical. I'm sure it's in the emanations and penumbras of the law.

A House Republican on Thursday proposed forcing the Supreme Court justices and their staff to enroll in ObamaCare.

Rep. Brian Babin (R-Texas) said that his SCOTUScare Act would make all nine justices and their employees join the national healthcare law’s exchanges.

“As the Supreme Court continues to ignore the letter of the law, it’s important that these six individuals understand the full impact of their decisions on the American people,” he said.

“That’s why I introduced the SCOTUScare Act to require the Supreme Court and all of its employees to sign up for ObamaCare,” Babin said.

I'm Not Arguing to Keep It, But This Is Not Really About the Confederate Flag in South Carolina

Rush Limbaugh

RUSH: Okay. Look at me. I have a prediction. Look at me. I have a prediction. I just said it's not gonna stop with the Confederate flag because it's not about the Confederate flag. It is about destroying the South as a political force. It's about isolating, targeting, and identifying the South as Dylann Roof. Not Charleston, South Carolina, the South. That's what the leftists' effort on the Confederate flag are. Do not doubt me, folks.

And I'll make another prediction to you. The next flag that will come under assault, and it will not be long, is the American flag. Do not look at me that way. It makes perfect sense. If you take a look at the timeline of progressive events, their speed and rapidity with which the left is conducting this assault on all of these American traditions and institutions, if you don't think the American flag's in their crosshairs down the road, you had better stop and reconsider.

The American flag is what? It's the symbol of America. The left what? Doesn't like this country very much and never has and it's getting angrier and angrier about it seemingly every day. The American flag stands for the United States of America and, as such, everything that's wrong with it. And you wait. It isn't gonna be long before the American flag is gonna cause chills, fear, scary thoughts, it's gonna make me nervous, the American flag, when I see the American flag, it's a symbol of hate.

You wait, folks. You wait. And then what are the Republicans gonna do? We'll be the first among them to say yep, we need a redesign. Yep, we need to get into the twenty first. Just saying. I'm just saying. Hang in there, be tough.

List of Conservative women to kill issued by Far-Left SPLC

They don't wnat you silenced, they want you dead. And are doing their part.

“With three jihadis dead and two jihadis jailed in attempts to kill me, this is just encouraging more jihadis to come after me – and the other women this communist hate group names,” Geller told WND. “At a time when jihad killers are moving actively against those whom they hate in the U.S., this is a quite literal hit list.”

Ann Coulter proud to be on the list.

Authors of the kill list: Mark Potok and Janet Smith of the Southern Poverty Law Center, or SPLC.

Pope’s encyclical on climate change reads like the Unabomber Manifesto

“The idea of promoting a different cultural paradigm and employing technology as a mere instrument is nowadays inconceivable. The technological paradigm has become so dominant that it would be difficult to do without its resources and even more difficult to utilize them without being dominated by their internal logic. It has become countercultural to choose a lifestyle whose goals are even partly independent of technology, of its costs and its power to globalize and make us all the same.”

Pure Kaczynski, yeah? The next sentence could easily be “So that’s why I moved to a cabin in the woods and started mailing bombs to scientists.” Let me give you another: Unabomber or Unapapa?

“The system does not and cannot exist to satisfy human needs. Instead, it is human behaviour that has to be modified to fit the needs of the system. This has nothing to do with the political or social ideology that may pretend to guide the technological system. It is the fault of technology, because the system is guided not by ideology but by technical necessity. Of course the system does satisfy many human needs, but generally speaking it does this only to the extent that it is to the advantage of the system to do it. It is the needs of the system that are paramount, not those of the human being.”

PAKISTAN HEAT WAVE KILLS 1,000 - NY Times & Pope Francis are OK with it.

PAKISTAN HEAT WAVE KILLS 1,000: “By Thursday, the death toll from the oppressive heat wave in Sindh province topped 1,000,” CNN reports. “Daily power outages, as the city tries to keep up with the demands of 16 million residents, mean the cold storage unit that houses bodies is hot and sticky.”

Back in 2012, the New York Times tut-tutted from their air-conditioned Eighth Avenue skyscraper, “Is it a good goal for everyone in the world to have access to air-conditioning — like clean water or the Internet? Or is it an unsustainable luxury, which air-conditioned societies should be giving up or rationing?” So presumably, they’re OK with the death toll in Pakistan, right?

In sharp contrast, in her syndicated column this week Michelle Malkin writes, “Unlike Pope Francis [and Pinch Sulzberger’s cohorts – Ed], I believe that air-conditioning and the capitalists responsible for the technology are blessings to the world:”

There's nothing easier than averting your eyes from mass deaths as you sit in your air conditioned offices and decry the use of fossil fuels ... the kind that allow people to live.
