Joaquin Castro Hit List Is a Dirty Trick for the Ages

Attacks on the president are one thing. That daily drumbeat is now background noise. When the left began broadly attacking millions of Trump voters, that tone took on a special air of hostility. But this is singularly treacherous. This is a house-by-house, business-by-business, name-by-name political smear of Joaquin Castro’s own neighbors.

It remains on Twitter as of this writing despite what appears to be a clear violation of the platform’s terms of service. Rep. Castro spent a pathetic day online and in TV interviews insisting he had done nothing wrong. “There was no call to action,” he stated, as if one was needed. Have people needed a call tom action to torment Republicans in restaurants? Have they needed a call to action to terrorize them at their homes? No rallying cry is necessary when such outrageous acts come naturally to a corner of the Democratic Party Joaquin Castro is surely aware of.

If you see one of the Castro clan, tell him what you think.

The Chilling Reason Why Black Lives Matter Memorializes Fidel Castro

Two days after Cuban dictator Fidel Castro bit the dust, Black Lives Matter memorialized him, and the reasons for it are not pretty. Castro killed thousands of his own people, imprisoned many more, caused 1 million refugees to flee to the United States, and even canceled Christmas. But Black Lives Matter celebrated him — because he provided a refuge for cop killers.

A fitting end

The vehicle carrying Fidel Castro’s remains during his funeral parade broke down yesterday. Soldiers had to push it through the streets.

How symbolic! What could be more fitting, given the broken down nature of the antique Cuban state produced by Castro?

Pope Francis grieves, prays for atheist revolutionary Castro

VATICAN CITY (Reuters) - Pope Francis said the death of Cuba's revolutionary leader Fidel Castro was "sad news" and that he was grieving and praying for his repose.

Francis expressed his condolences in a Spanish-language message to Fidel's brother, President Raul Castro on Saturday.

The pope, who met Fidel Castro when he visited Cuba last year, said he had received the "sad news" and added: "I express to you my sentiments of grief."

Fidel Castro, who was a professed atheist, was baptized as a Catholic and educated in schools run by the Jesuits, the religious order of which the pope is a member.

Cruz Walks Out on Castro Speech at Memorial Service for Mandela

Senator Ted Cruz (R., Texas) walked out of the memorial service for Nelson Mandela when Cuban “president” Raúl Castro began speaking.

“Senator Cruz very much hopes that Castro learns the lessons of Nelson Mandela,” said Sean Rushton, Cruz’s communications director. “For decades, Castro has wrongly imprisoned and tortured countless innocents. Just as Mandela was released after 27 years in prison, Castro should finally release his political prisoners; he should hold free elections, and once and for all set the Cuban people free.”

Earlier in the day, President Obama shook hands with Castro.
