After Burning Police Union, Portland Rioters Threaten Nearby House: 'We're Gonna Burn Your Building Down'

In what seems the most terrifying part of the incident, the antifa rioters threatened to burn down a man’s house — seemingly for the crime of looking out his window and perhaps asking them to quiet down. As the man pops his head out, the crowd chants, “Black Lives Matter!”

One of the rioters shouts, “You’ve really internalized capitalism if you’re more worried about getting a good night’s sleep so you can f***ing work. F*ck you!”

“Black Lives Matter!” the crowd chants again. One voice shouts, “We’re gonna burn your building down!” “Black Lives Matter!” the crowd chats again. One woman taunts, “We know where you live!”

It appears the mob moved on after these taunts, but this episode again illustrates that the antifa rioters are not just targeting police for harassment. These shouts may have been empty threats, but they are still terrifying.

On Friday night, rioters spilled into a Portland man’s backyard and onto his porch in the middle of the night, and he came out to boot them from his property.

On Thursday, Mayor Ted Wheeler (D-Portland) finally vocally condemned the violent antifa rioters, warning that when they attempted to burn down the Penumbra Kelly building on Wednesday night, they were “attempting to commit murder.” He urged truly peaceful protesters to stay away from the crowds that would develop into violent riots. “If you are a non-violent demonstrator, and you don’t want to be part of intentional violence, please stay away from these areas. Our community must say that this violence is not Portland, that these actions do not reflect our values, and these crimes are distracting from reform, not advancing it.”

Yet it seems antifa rioters are so set on their violent activity that they will threaten to burn down a man’s house for the crime of looking out his window.

Dems: The Antifa Party (This is not the first time Republican presidents have had to deal with terrorist-supporting Democrats. It probably won’t be the last.)

— “These soldiers are disregarding and overriding the elementary rights of American citizens by applying tactics which must have been copied from the manual issued the officers of Hitler’s storm troopers.”

— The president is substituting “military dictatorship for the Constitution of the United States.”

— “My fellow citizens, we are now an occupied territory.”

All this because, after 50 days of raging violence, President Trump has finally sent federal agents to restore order in Portland, Oregon.

No — wait. Different Democrats and different president.

Although all those quotes are indeed from Democrats about a Republican president, it wasn’t Trump. They were Democrats Richard Russell, George Wallace and Orval Faubus, denouncing President Dwight Eisenhower for sending troops to enforce desegregation at a schoolhouse in Little Rock, Arkansas.

The rioting and destruction are the point. George Floyd, at this point, is barely even an excuse.

Antifa are Fascists and they rule Portland

Mark Steyn writes in Portlantifa:

In Italia i fascisti si dividono in due categorie : i fascisti e gli antifascisti.

"In Italy the fascists are divided into two categories: the fascists and the anti-fascists." In America the division is a little more lop-sided: There is no organized fascist movement except for the so-called anti-fascist movement: Antifa wear uniforms and masks on the streets of American cities and perpetrate violence with the support and connivance of powerful Democrat politicians and their hideously politicized police departments.

The consent of the latter is especially important: in the Democrats' northern fiefdoms the cops increasingly behave as they did in the party's old southern fiefdoms - they're there not to keep the peace but to ensure that their buddies in the Klan - whoops, sorry, I mean Klantifa - get to give the designated "troublemakers" a bloody good hiding. Thus in Portland, Oregon the police stood by and let Antifa beat the crap out of reporter Andy Ngo, steal thousands of dollars' worth of his equipment, and put him in hospital with a brain hemorrhage. But that's just policing as usual in a corrupt municipality increasingly without the law. As Democrat Mayor and Police Commissioner Ted Wheeler put it last year, after his officers again sat back and watched as Antifa blocked streets and threatened and intimidated drivers:

I was appalled by what I saw in the video, but I support the Portland Police Bureau's decision not to intervene.

They're getting so good at "not intervening" it might be easier for the city simply to lay them off and contract out all "law enforcement" to Antifa.

Antifa is the Klan dressed in black and fascists like Ted Wheeler are the North's Bull Connor.

Andy Ngo is a Portland-based journalist (for Quillette) who has made it his business to document the violence and insanity of Antifa in his city. Today they got him. They beat him up and stole his camera equipment.

One gets the impression that Antifa rules Portland with the same impunity that the Ku Klux Klan ruled Birmingham in the 1960s. Do they actually have police in Portland? Do they have functioning government there?

Let me answer that question.

The Democrats that ran Birmingham and the Democrats who run Portland approve and support violence against people they hate.  And they hate normal people.

Ted Wheeler is the mayor of Portland, a city where the violent far left gets to beat people up with impunity. He's a modern-day Bull Connor.

Along the trolley tracks behind the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement field office, a biohazard cleanup crew works under police protection. It finds used needles and buckets of human waste simmering in nearly 100-degree heat. The smell of urine and feces fills the block. For more than five weeks, as many as 200 people had occupied the site to demand ICE’s immediate abolition. They’re gone now, but a community is left reeling. Thirty-eight days of government-sanctioned anarchy will do that.

A mob surrounded ICE’s office in Southwest Portland June 19. They barricaded the exits and blocked the driveway. They sent “guards” to patrol the doors, trapping workers inside. At night they laid on the street, stopping traffic at a critical junction near a hospital. Police stayed away. “At this time I am denying your request for additional resources,” the Portland Police Bureau’s deputy chief, Robert Day, wrote to federal officers pleading for help. Hours later, the remaining ICE workers were finally evacuated by a small federal police team. The facility shut down for more than a week.

Where were the police? Ordered away by Democratic Mayor Ted Wheeler, who doubles as police commissioner. “I do not want the @PortlandPolice to be engaged or sucked into a conflict, particularly from a federal agency that I believe is on the wrong track,” he tweeted. “If [ICE is] looking for a bailout from this mayor, they are looking in the wrong place.”

The mob set up camp behind the building, where they harassed journalists and banned photography. The open-borders advocates also erected an 8-foot wall around their site. I walked through and saw young children, including infants, in squalid conditions and 90-degree heat. Every American flag was defaced. Anarchist and communist flags were unsoiled.
