Moon rise and set over the arctic

This video was filmed inside the Arctic Circle, just between the Canada-Alaska-Russia border.

This phenomenon can only be observed once a year, for 36 seconds. The moon appears and disappears.

CRATER COLLAPSE CAUSES LAVA EXPLOSION ON HAWAII'S KILAUEA

Molten lava, rocks and gas went flying through the air on Hawaii's Kilauea volcano after an explosion was caused by the partial collapse of a crater wall.

The collapse triggered a small explosion, spreading lava and debris around the rim of Kilauea's Halemaumau Crater, the U.S. Geological Survey's Hawaiian Volcano Observatory says.

Janet Babb, a geologist with the USGS, compared the blast on Sunday to taking a hammer to the top of a bottle of champagne.

"You look at the bottle and you see the liquid, but you don't see the gas," she said. "There's a lot of gas in the lava. And so, when that rock fall hits the lava lake, it's like the moment you knock the top of the champagne bottle off and that gas is released and it hurls molten lava and rock fragments."

If there is a crime and the race of the criminal is not in the story, chances are he's black. If an elected official gets caught doing something naughty and his party is not identified you can be sure he's a Democrat.

If they didn't identify the gas, you can guess what it was. Climate change without man? They told me that wasn't possible.

Earthquake in Michigan

KALAMAZOO (WWJ) – If you thought you felt an earthquake on Saturday — you did. And It was one of the strongest quakes ever experienced in Michigan.

Paul Caruso, a geophysicist with the United States Geological Survey, said an earthquake with a magnitude of 4.2 and a depth of focus of 5.9 km was measured around 12:23 p.m. about nine miles southeast of Kalamazoo, near Galesburg.

Dutch Winter

Shot in Dutch nature reserve the Oostvaardersplassen during the production of De Nieuwe Wildernis (The New Wilderness). This was one of the coldest winters in Holland with record breaking temperatures.
