How Bill Barr’s Silence Impacted the Outcome of an Election
On May 18, 2020, then-Attorney General Bill Barr made a statement to the media, declaring that special counsel John Durham’s investigation into the origins of the Russiagate hoax wasn’t focused on either former President Barack Obama or former Vice President Joe Biden, stating that “I don’t expect Mr. Durham’s work will lead to a criminal investigation of either man.”...Barr’s May 18 claim is an often underappreciated statement, the fallout of which was felt throughout the 2020 presidential election. Although Barr now claims that he issued his statement from a position of fairness, what he actually did was insert himself and the Department of Justice (DOJ) into the presidential campaign, and in doing so, he set the stage for the media’s whitewashing of questions of corruption that swirled around Biden throughout the campaign...
More importantly, Barr’s May 18 statement stands in stark contrast to his decision to remain silent after the second presidential debate in October 2020, when Biden falsely blamed the story about his son Hunter’s laptop on a “Russian plot.”...
By first speaking out and then remaining silent, Barr very directly put his thumb on the scale, leading to material ramifications for our country—including the geopolitical landscape we now face.
Question: is Bill Barr the most wily Deep State political operative who helped defeat Trump in the 2020 election? Many Trump supporters like Barr. I wonder if they are just as gullible as the Conservatives who are gulled into voting for Republicans like Mitt Romney who said all the right things but who wore Conservatism like a skin suit over the Uniparty carcass.
Just a reminder: you can't be paranoid enough.

The Attorney General cannot exonerate the CIA
A little-known, little-discussed stepping stone on his journey to becoming President Trump’s Attorney General is the fact that Bill Barr worked for the CIA during his George Washington law school days......
The CIA is a large security-compartmented organization and by design often does not symbolically want the left hand to know what the right hand is doing.
For the AG to wander into that hall of mirrors and make a grand lasting statement about CIA staying in its lane and not “spying” on candidate and then-President Donald Trump is preposterous on the merits.
Before the historical record sets to concrete, for the AG to say that the CIA stayed in their lane, a penalty flag must be thrown that such a blanket denial by AG Barr is factually illogical, not supportable by even the recent the historic record, and should not be allowed to stand.

Barr's Valedictory Interview
The tragedy is William Barr is that his view of what was needed from him was too constricted. Retired FBI agent Mark Wauck's excellent assessment of William Barr's "valedictory interview," credits outgoing AG and rightly faults him for failing to deliver on the most important part of his job—getting to the bottom of Spygate.
It's a worthwhile read and concludes with this:
In many ways Barr proved to be an exemplary Attorney General. In ordinary times he might have ended his tenure regarded as one of the greatest AGs we've had. Unfortunately, in this time of constitutional crisis he will be judged to have suffered from a too constricted vision of doing justice. He talks of going beyond the limited view of setting the bar for acceptable conduct as criminal prosecution, but in practice he has done little to alter that view. To change public perception is a difficult task, one that cannot be achieved quickly--something like changing the course of a supertanker. Rather than attempting to educate the public, Barr has been content--or so it seems to me--to speak to other lawyers like himself rather than taking on the role of being an educator of the American public. I realize that's asking a lot, but it would have been easier had he exemplified his principles more clearly in the conduct of his high office when the demands of justice required a more expansive view.
With regard to the CIA's role:
Barr's words of exoneration regarding the CIA--while understandable with regard to the institution, and in particular with regard to the analysts who worked on the ICA--falls short of his own standards when we consider the conduct of the CIA's Director, who is, after all, the public face of the institution. The CIA analysts who worked on the ICA may well have been honorable, but it was Brennan's biased and "mistaken" overriding of their honorable work that ended up being embodied in the ICA and was presented to the world has a highly reliable view based on sound intelligence. In light of that, to say that "The CIA stayed in its lane" really doesn't cover the case. That statement will be used and misused by the same persons whose tactics--as Barr so aptly said in his resignation letter--were "abusive and deceitful", knowing no bounds of decency. Barr knows this as well as anyone in Washington, so to make such an unqualified statement regarding "the CIA", without drawing any distinctions, is a distinct disservice to President Trump--as surely as Barr's premature dismissal of election fraud was also a disservice.

Attorney General Says BLM Uses Black Americans As ‘Props,’ Calls Out DOJ’s ‘Permanent Bureaucracy’
U.S. Attorney General William Barr said the “law has broken down” in the hands of prosecutors and that DOJ heads, checked by the American people, should oversee these unelected prosecutors to uphold law and order in the nation.
The executive branch has virtually unchecked power in bringing charges, Barr noted. “That means discretion is vested in the executive to determine when to exercise prosecution power,” Barr said to a “legal-sized” crowd at Hillsdale College’s Constitution Day Celebration on Wednesday evening,
The only question is: When should the branch use its prosecutorial power? The answer is left in the hands of prosecutors who, according to Barr, prioritize cases that they “can get,” meaning win, instead of the most important ones to prosecute.
“Federal prosecutors possess tremendous power,” Barr said. “Power that is necessary to enforce our laws and punish wrongdoing…but power that carries inherent potential for abuse.”
Such abuse is commonplace and usually takes shape in politically targeted prosecutions, he said.
“I’d like to be able to say that we don’t see headhunting in the Department of Justice,” he said. “That would not be truthful. I see it every day.”

AG Barr Might Just Laugh His Head Off at This Request From Dianne Feinstein
Via Bad Blue
I believe it was Feinstein who had a Chinese spy on her payroll for 20 yearsAttorney General William Barr has shown that he clearly has a dry wit and can enjoy a good joke. But he must have been really amused at the letter that he received from Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) and Senate Judiciary Committee Democrats.Feinstein and the group sent a letter asking Barr to recuse himself from the investigation of the Russia probe and anything to do with investigations related to Ukraine.

Russia hoax origins to be exposed as Trump authorizes AG Barr to declassify Russia probe documents
Heads are exploding all over the beltway, as the unraveling of the biggest political scandal in American history enters a new stage. Make no mistake, there is a plan and a timetable designed for maximum dramatic impact. President Trump finally has taken the long-awaited step to lift the cloak of classification and uncover the weaponization of the federal government’s law enforcement and intelligence agencies against his candidacy and then presidency.
Meanwhile, the Shithole Press will do all it can to cover for the Democrats and Team Obama. (many of whom are Communists)
