Obama approval index at -17%: Rasmussen

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Saturday shows that 27% of the nation's voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Forty-four percent (44%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -17 (see trends).
That's a lot higher than he deserves.

While some Democrats are seeking to brand Republicans as the “Party of No,” a narrow plurality of voters nationwide views that label as a good thing. Thirty-nine percent (39%) say it’s good to the Party of No in today’s political environment while 34% say it’s bad.

The Rasmussen Reports Media Meter shows that 51% of the President’s coverage has been positive over the past seven days.

And that explains why his approval rating is as high as it is.
