Kerry Blows 2006?

Via ABC News. While part of the Voice of the Democrats, even ABC News could not completely ignore this one:

While stumping for local Democrats in California, Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass., addressed students at Pasadena City College and made a comment about education and the war in Iraq that lent itself to much controversy.

"You know education, if you make the most of it, you study hard, you do your homework and you make an effort to be smart, you can do well. And if you don't, you get stuck in Iraq," he said.

A Democratic congressman told ABC News Tuesday, "I guess Kerry wasn't content blowing 2004, now he wants to blow 2006, too."

Here's the video.

Here's Bush's response.

While the news was all over the internet, on ABC News, on talk radio, on YouTube and was being hotly debated on the campaign trail, the Virginian Pilot said not a word about John Kerry’s insult to the troops.

The paper did devote an article on page A6 to the topic of Bob Barker leaving “Price is Right.”

You can often tell more about the ideological bent of a newspaper by their decisions of what NOT to write about than by the use of language and emphasis in their columns.
