First year geology students know that the climate here in North America has been warming gradually since the glaciers started their retreat across the continent about 15,000 years ago. Some years the retreat was faster than others so it is completely misleading to show blocks of ice breaking off the glaciers now and falling into the water, or show ice cakes floating around open water. People forget that the Arctic was much warmer 1000 AD to1500 AD when the Danes had farms on Greenland. We have warm days and cold days like warm decades and cold decades.
Good science is based on good data and good interpretations. There are some who say the science related to global warming is still good. Nonsense. How can this be so if it is based on incomplete or carefully selected data. Nonsense. Lets have a good look at some real data based on thousands or millions of years, not on numbers over a few decades.
