It turns out that Dominique Strauss-Kahn, who was arrested for rape is, or was, the Socialist candidate for President of France as well as being head of the IMF (International Monetary Fund), the organization that prescribes austerity for countries it “helps.”
And how does Dominique Strauss-Kahn treat himself? Well, he spends $3000 per night for his hotel rooms, has an arrangement with Air France that allows him to get on any of their flights and travel in First Class and wears suits costing upwards of $20,000 using the same tailor as Barack Obama (who famously urged college graduates: “take your diploma, walk off this stage, and chase only after the big house and the nice suits and all the other things that our money culture says you should buy,”
Perhaps that's why I'm not a socialist, I've always been too poor.
