The public needs to understand that Russia could not have taken Ukraine had the West expanded energy production rather than throttled it by closing nuclear plants and reducing oil and gas production.https://t.co/FyweUpFHUT

Ask where AOC and the Green New Deal gets its money
Friday, January 29, 2021
Remember when Russia was our ally? Mark Steyn does. That was all the way back during the Obama Administration.
It's not so long ago that the Democrats pressed the "Reset" button with Russia, and Obama personally assured Putin's flunkey that once the election was over he'd have more "flexibility", and his court eunuchs in the media mocked Romney for getting zinged with that killer line about the 1980s calling and wanting their foreign policy back.
But that was then. As the Democrats have it, for the past five years Russia has been a malignant subverter of American democracy and the rogue state behind everything, up to and including the porn on Hunter Biden's laptop. It was a dizzying switcheroo, but in tonight's episode of our current Tale for Our Time Winston Smith gets to experience a similar geopolitical alignment in real time. Oceania's old ally Eastasia is now, mysteriously but instantly, an enemy:
As predicted in Orwell's 1984, Russia became the enemy with the flick of a switch:
On the sixth day of Hate Week, after the processions, the speeches, the shouting, the singing, the banners, the posters, the films, the waxworks, the rolling of drums and squealing of trumpets, the tramp of marching feet, the grinding of the caterpillars of tanks, the roar of massed planes, the booming of guns--after six days of this, when the great orgasm was quivering to its climax and the general hatred of Eurasia had boiled up into such delirium that if the crowd could have got their hands on the 2,000 Eurasian war-criminals who were to be publicly hanged on the last day of the proceedings, they would unquestionably have torn them to pieces--at just this moment it had been announced that Oceania was not after all at war with Eurasia. Oceania was at war with Eastasia. Eurasia was an ally.
There was, of course, no admission that any change had taken place. Merely it became known, with extreme suddenness and everywhere at once, that Eastasia and not Eurasia was the enemy. Winston was taking part in a demonstration in one of the central London squares at the moment when it happened... The speech had been proceeding for perhaps twenty minutes when a messenger hurried on to the platform and a scrap of paper was slipped into the speaker's hand. He unrolled and read it without pausing in his speech. Nothing altered in his voice or manner, or in the content of what he was saying, but suddenly the names were different. Without words said, a wave of understanding rippled through the crowd. Oceania was at war with Eastasia..! There was a riotous interlude while posters were ripped from the walls, banners torn to shreds and trampled underfoot... But within two or three minutes it was all over. The orator, still gripping the neck of the microphone, his shoulders hunched forward, his free hand clawing at the air, had gone straight on with his speech. One minute more, and the feral roars of rage were again bursting from the crowd. The Hate continued exactly as before, except that the target had been changed.
Suddenly, and without anyone noticing it, Donald Trump needs to be destroyed and Obama's ally - Putin - joined him as the enemy to be hated.

Are the riots a cover-up for RussiaGate?
Just as the Justice Department investigation of RussiaGate begins to zero in on the Obama Administration crooks who tried to hijack an election, riots are breaking out ... nationwide.
And the media which sold the story that Trump was a Russain agent focuses like a laser beam on marches and riots.
There have been too many "coincidences" for this to be dismissed as a conspiracy theory. The entire Trump administration has been the focus of a conspiracy to overturn an election.
And the Democrats are getting Russian and Chinese help;

Mueller was sold as an investigation of Russian interference. Yet he *never* investigated Clinton campaign's secret dossier
The thing I can't get over is how Mueller Special Counsel was sold to public as an investigation of Russian interference. Yet he *never* investigated Clinton campaign's secret dossier and how it may have been exploited by Russia trying to plant disinformation. https://t.co/jKMlENndP4— Mollie (@MZHemingway) April 16, 2020

Sen. Hawley Drops a Bomb on Horowitz: 'The Collusion Here Was Between the DNC and the FBI'
“The DNC pays for the Steele dossier, solicits the Steele dossier, and then gets the Federal Bureau of Investigation to go get FISA warrants, surveil an American citizen, and surveil a presidential campaign all on the basis of this manufactured garbage that they paid for. I mean that’s extraordinary," he complained. "That has got to be a first time in history. In fact, let me just ask you, Mr. Horowitz, are you aware ever of another presidential campaign being targeted by the FBI like the Trump campaign was?”
...
"To me, this is the untold story of the 2016 campaign," continued Hawley. "I don't know who at the DNC hatched this, but I suppose they ought to take a victory lap, but certainly they should be remembered for it; to get the FBI to pursue surveillance of a rival presidential campaign and then into the newly elected president's term I think is just extraordinary."
Hawley then grilled Horowitz about why the criminals at the FBI involved in this are still employed. No one knows. Hawley closed with this bombshell: "I think the collusion here was between the DNC and the FBI."
Let's not forget the role of the MSM in spreading the lies and breaking the country in two.

Who Does the Whistleblower Know?
Aside from the congratulations, it seems Trump asked Zelensky for two things: an investigation into Crowdstrike, the company that performed the forensic examination of the DNC servers in lieu of the FBI, and cooperation in investigating the Biden's — pere et fil's — involvement in the suspended prosecution of Ukrainian company Burisma, which employed Hunter Biden. This is what is supposed to have been "crazy" and "frightening" and left WB2 "visibly shaken."
Now, what could have been so emotionally charged in that call? The transcript seems relatively low-key: no shouting, no screaming, and if there were any threats they were phrased very diplomatically.
It seems to me — and this is just a plausible inference, I'm not asserting it's the truth — it seems to me that the only people who would be "visibly shaken" by that would be someone who already has guilty knowledge of Crowdstrike, Burisma, or both.
Now, look at the really just astonishing irregularity of the "impeachment inquiry": not just refusing to take it to the floor of the House, but the secrecy, the selective cherry-picking of releases, and the plan to prevent Republican members — not to mention the nation — from learning anything about either WB1 or WB2.
I think the most plausible inference is that the whistleblowers are connected to Biden's campaign, or to the DNC, and were shaken by the possibility of Biden and Crowdstrike being investigated because they know there is something there to be found.
Bingo! The most reasonable explanation of why anyone would have been "visibly shaken" by the phone call are those who are afraid that efforts to uncover facts about Ukrainian interference in the 2016 election and the Biden bribery would be devastating to the Democrats and Obama.

To Hell with the Elites
Great essay by Matthew Peterson
Asking for the assistance of our global friends and allies to help reveal the wrongdoing of the American ruling class is now an impeachable offense. Investigating their wrongdoing is wrongdoing. Exposing their corruption is corruption. In the Clown World we currently inhabit, the president of the United States must be removed from office for daring to ask they be investigated abroad.
The events of this week reveal the new standard. Like sharks to a whale carcass, our elites routinely feast upon precarious situations in other nations: The Podesta Group, Hunter Biden, and others were content to make a buck off the tensions in Ukraine along with Paul Manafort, just as the Clintons and others were happy to take tens of millions of dollars from Russian oligarchs. We all know that Manafort would be sitting in a house in Malibu right now with the same immunity deal the likes of Podesta, Biden, and the Clintons apparently possess if only he had never decided to work for Donald Trump.
Recall that the supposed original sin of the entire Russian-collusion gambit was that when approached (apparently mostly by agents of the United States government working for President Obama and friends) then-candidate Trump or his team were interested in recovering the emails that Hilary Clinton unwisely and illegally sent and then deleted from her private server so that no one could read them. There would be plenty of reasons for Americans and the U.S. government itself to seek out these emails, of course, if only to determine to what extent they threatened national security—never mind the power and wealth of the foundation engaged in international money collection that her husband ran while she was Secretary of State.
But while the supposed reasons for it change every week, the Ukraine fiasco reveals the real underlying cause of the Left’s outrageously hypocritical march towards impeachment. The ruling class is now effectively saying to President Trump: “We know that domestically we have nothing to fear from the media and the law—so how dare you ask other countries about us! You must be impeached for this crime and this crime alone—asking other countries about our wrongdoing! Only an insane or evil person would do this!”

Senator Kennedy Colluded With Moscow, and CNN Doesn't Care
This is what REAL Russian collusion looks like.
In 1983, Kennedy reached out to Soviet leader Yuri Andropov and made an offer. Kennedy’s offer was worse than anything Trump was ever falsely accused of by Democrats.
Kennedy communicated that he could ensure that the three American television networks would give Andropov a prime-time slot to speak directly to the American people to counter Reagan’s foreign policies and Reagan’s framing of the USSR as a sinister regime.
Naturally, an American population more inclined toward the Soviet cause would undermine the incumbent American president ahead of his 1984 reelection. If the Soviets weren’t so bad, then why risk war over a few missiles that nobody seemed to want anyhow?
Kennedy would continue to oppose Reagan’s tough line at home against the Soviets and arrange for American TV time for Andropov. In exchange, the Soviets would undermine Reagan in prime time and echo Kennedy’s foreign policy talking points.
It's worth noting that Kennedy knew that the American media would cooperate in the collusion. Just as they are cooperating with Putin in trying to overthrow Trump today.

NY Times: Say, this Steele dossier appears to be false (and maybe was a Russian disinformation effort)
The whole premise of this investigation was that Russia may have compromised Trump or people close to him. But what if the truth turns out to be that Russia compromised the dossier? This shouldn’t be shrugged off as a passing thought experiment. The NY Times is reporting that Steele thinks it’s possible his dossier contained disinformation and a former KGB general says he may be right.
Think about what the claims in the dossier have generated? Much of the past two years of anger and public outrage, the desire to eliminate the electoral college, claims Trump isn’t a legitimate president, etc, etc.—it may all be based on Russian lies. If that’s the case then the bulk of the damage Russia did to our system wasn’t though a few million dollars spent on Facebook and Twitter, it was through billions of dollars in earned media on CNN, MSNBC, and Buzzfeed (among many others). Let that sink in a moment.
I have long believed and frequently stated that the Russian objective was to undermine Americans' faith in the government and to divide the country. And that their very, very willing allies in this have been the mainstream media and Democrats in Congress.

Stolen Archives Show the True History of Russia Collusion
Numerous examples are provided in a soon to be released book, Judgment in Moscow, by the heroic Soviet dissident, Vladimir Bukovsky. He makes use of extensive first hand documents that he personally stole from Russia's Central Committee (C.C.) archives, which have never before been accessible to Americans.
The media must be tripping over themselves to see what Bukovsky reveals...right?
Well, not so much. Because the C.C. documents demonstrate, irrefutably, that the American Establishment was the one willingly and repeatedly colluding with Russia — an inconvenient fact.
Random House wanted Bukovsky to change the book to make it appear that collusion was not taking place.
For instance, to cite just one of the many examples, there was collusion between America's ABC and Russia's C.C....Here is another example Bukovsky shares: a secret C.C. document from 1979, detailing secret collusion between President Carter and Russia through cutouts to boost Carter's popularity, advance highly questionable political objectives, and trick Americans into liking communist Russia...This documented collusion between Carter and Russia is worse than anything Trump is even accused of. Carter secretly colluded with Russia to limit America's nuclear weapons!

Former FBI official feared Strzok-Page affair could compromise them
Mr. Priestap told the House Judiciary Committee that he talked to the anti-Trump lovebirds about rumors they were having an affair, but he never asked them if there was truth to the workplace gossip at the bureau.
“[T]hey knew darn well that, if that was going on that potentially makes them vulnerable,” he said, according to the transcript of the closed-door hearing.

Russian Lawyer Who Worked With Fusion GPS and Met With Trump Jr. Charged With Obstruction of Justice
"Nowhere in this Washington Post article does it mention that Veselnitskya worked with Fusion GPS to both roll back the Magnitsky Act and entrap Trump Jr."

The Federalist: "The Facts Behind The Trump Tower Meeting Are Incriminating, But Not For Trump"
According to “sources with knowledge” talking to CNN—whatever that means—Michael Cohen is prepared to tell Special Counsel Robert Mueller that Donald Trump knew in advance about the June 9, 2016 Trump Tower meeting between Don Jr. and Russians. The president still denies knowing about that meeting beforehand....For those who belong to the religious cult of Trump-Russia collusion, this meeting is prima facie evidence of the Trump campaign colluding with Russia to rig the 2016 election. One of the sacraments of this cult is that its adherents wake up every morning and hope that on this day, just maybe, Trump will finally be done away with. CNN is of course central to this practice....Wasn’t it terrible that Don Jr. met with Russians? Despite what Sen. Marco Rubio and David French might think, no campaign in American history would pass up the opportunity of receiving dirt on their opponents. If a foreign government has dirt, you especially need to examine the dirt, because if your opponent is elected that dirt could be used to leverage U.S. policy decisions....Somebody colluded with Russia, and it wasn’t Donald Trump. Veselnitskaya and Akhmetshin were working to repeal the Magnitsky Act for the Kremlin with none other than Fusion GPS, the same opposition research firm the DNC and Clinton campaign had hired in April 2016 to dig up—or create—ties between Trump and Russia.Fusion’s Glenn Simpson met with Veselnitskaya and Akhmetshin both before and after that Trump Tower meeting. Simpson told Congress he had no idea that the two Russians were meeting with the Trump team, but Fusion GPS even provided the materials and handouts for the meeting in question....Let all that sink in. The Democrats hired Fusion GPS to find ties between Trump and Russia, primarily by means of a dossier sourced by Russians tied to the Kremlin. Our so-called intelligence agencies used this dossier to spy on the Trump campaign and mislead an American court, trampling over Americans’ civil liberties to do so. At the same time Fusion GPS was working for the Democrats, Fusion GPS was working for the Kremlin, and with the Russians that showed up at that Trump Tower meeting....This is the height of stupidity and corruption. How much damage will be done to our country before the truth shines through, and the real colluders are exposed?

Ace of Spades asks why gathering dirt on your opponent is only a crime when Trump does it?
If it's "collusion" for Don Trump Jr. to have a meeting anticipating dirt on Hillary from Russia, why is not also collusion for Hillary to solicit dirt from high-ranking Kremlin officials -- as Steele's dossier called them -- about Trump?

Explaining Russian Meddling

The Russians did the bad things during the Obama era. Obama KNEW they were doing the bad stuff, and yet did nothing about it. Obama argued that we should put the past behind us and try to cooperate in the future…

The Democrats felt sorry for Bob Mueller so they found a job for him that he could really enjoy.

Ann Coulter reminds us of Democrat Presidents who were cozy with the Russians
With Russia, liberals get an extra bonus of bludgeoning Trump over his nonexistent collusion with Russia -- our greatest enemy since very, very recently. At least no Democratic president ever publicly embraced a Russian dictator, while handing him all of Eastern Europe at Yalta, so the left's conscience is clear!Actually, no. Until all the Roosevelt statues come down, liberals need to settle down about Russia. At least Trump isn't calling Putin "Uncle Vlad" and giving him one-third of Europe, as he is being advised by two Russian spies.

Trump’s Helsinki Comments Were a Defense of U.S. Voters, Not of Russia
The most obvious motivation was Trump’s standard business modus operandi of taking the psychological high ground by complimenting the man on the other side of the table. Through praise and pacification, Trump hopes his adversary will let down his guard to allow for more communication and negotiation, or hopes he will be distracted while Trump plans harsher methods in the future. This isn’t 3-D chess. It’s a simple tactic....Second, context matters. Trump didn’t just plop down in Helsinki and criticize America’s intelligence community and give Putin leeway when it comes to the Russian government meddling in the U.S. election on a whim. This meeting came after two years of unprecedented investigation of a presidential candidate and a president who has been accused of colluding with a foreign government based only on opposition research by the Democratic Party and Clinton campaign. The media leaks, counterintelligence investigation, improper FISA warrants, use of spies before a full investigation has even begun, a special counsel probe into collusion without evidence of a crime, biased investigators, more media leaks, and hounding of the president at every step by the intelligence community have disrupted our political system far more than any Russian meddling could -- meddling that wasn’t new to 2016, by the way.The fact is, despite the many indictments in the investigation, there have been no charges of collusion and no evidence of collusion, but the narrative of collusion continues. Trump’s election by the American people has been repeatedly questioned and his presidency targeted for delegitimization by individuals wielding a great deal of power in secret. Even now, calls for impeachment based on thin air are ringing across the media and in the halls of government. This false narrative has been driven by members of the FBI and the intel community who had a hand in propping up false evidence in an investigation, and who worked with foreign governments to gather information in a case against Trump with no basis in fact. In the words of FBI special agent Peter Strzok: “We will stop him!”This effort to malign, sabotage, and then seek to remove a duly elected president based on no evidence of collusion or wrongdoing is an attack on the American voter. It’s not about Trump, it’s about them, because they put him there.
