Author of the Mega-Viral Thread on MAGA Voters, Darryl Cooper, Explains His Thinking

By Darryl Cooper

I quit Twitter last August. Quit for good. Other than posting links to two new episodes of my podcast, I stayed away for eight months and didn’t regret a thing. Around mid-June I let myself  be persuaded that social media engagement was part of having a podcast, so I dipped back in, promising myself I’d avoid being pulled into politics. Things haven’t gone as planned.

The temptation was disguised cleverly as a conversation with a friend’s mother. She was visiting from upstate New York and we got to talking while my buddy was in the house tending to my goddaughter. She’s a hardcore Trumper from a less cynical generation that believes what she hears from sources she trusts. She’d been hounding her son about the stolen election all week, and he’d been trying to disabuse her of various theories involving trucked-in ballots and hacked counting machines. Now she had me cornered and put the question to me: “Do YOU think the election was legit?” So I told her the truth: I don’t know.

By the time my friend had put the baby to bed and rejoined us, we were waist-deep in a discussion about what happened last year, and she was satisfied that I was on her side. “See?!? He (she meant me) knows what’s going on! I’m not crazy. He’s smart, and HE knows!” My friend pulled the Captain Picard facepalm, and said, “Darryl, what the f*ck are you telling her?”

What I told her was some version of the Twitter thread Tucker Carlson read on  air Friday night and which President Trump, using my name, then explicitly promoted in his speech to CPAC on Sunday, which has blown my inbox, and my promise to stay away from politics, to smithereens.

I told her I didn’t know much about the ballots, or the voting machines, or some company that she’d heard had ties to Venezuela. I didn’t follow Sidney Powell, or Lin Wood, or the details of the cases proceeding through the system. I think it was around the time Rudy Giuliani chose a landscape and gardening emporium as the location for a press conference on what would have been the greatest political scandal in American history that I made the conscious decision to stop paying attention. Or maybe it was the dripping hair dye, or something about a kraken — it’s all sort of blended together these days.

But I felt for her. She wasn’t the first person with whom I’d had the discussion, and I felt for all of them. I’ve had the discussion often enough that I feel comfortable extracting a general theory about where these people are coming from.

The Sovereign Crime of Industrial Scale Vote Fraud

When you are at the table with some of the top criminal profilers in the world, talking about industrial scale election fraud, you do more listening than talking.  And the listening was interesting.  The profilers have zero interest in U.S. elections.  Two of them did not vote and had unflattering opinions about both presidential candidates.  Their comments were most insightful because they saw the current questions about election fraud so differently than the American media.

To them, 2020 election fraud was an industrial level crime.  It was of such magnitude that it moved from the category of an election crime to a sovereign crime.

Sovereign crime.  It does have a ring to it.

Sovereign crime is not something we see a lot of in America as our governmental institutions are generally not organized to commit, support or hide a crime.

Most Americans have never seen an organized crime take place, in plain view, supported by or covered up by governmental institutions.  But it happens all the time around the world, even in some countries that are quite Westernized.

Sovereign crime means your government was a participant, active or passive, enabling vote fraud.

Governors and secretaries of state refusing to cleanse voter rolls, refusing to check signatures for mail-in ballots – even during recounts, changing the voting rules weeks before an election, qualifies as your government messing with your vote.

The national government refusing to investigate the most egregious examples of voter fraud like hundreds of thousands of more ballots than voters in several states, that is a pretty good indicator that they are passive participants in industrial level vote fraud.

The refusal of the FBI to fully investigate Jesse Morgan’s truck with the hundreds of thousands of ballots going from New York to Pennsylvania – yet dispatching agents to a NASCAR location to investigate a garage pull-down they hoped was a noose – well, that’s a good indicator, too

Courts Repeatedly Refused To Consider Trump’s Election Claims On The Merits

The Judiciary failed us in what was probably the most important election of the century.  This is important not just because of the result, but the procedure by which the result was obtained.  The Judiciary is revealed as corrupt and lacks the stature and esteem we give judges.  Note that 31 Missouri Judges Recuse Themselves from Lawsuit Alleging Family Court Guardians and Psychologists Orchestrated Money-Making Scheme

Courts Repeatedly Refused To Consider Trump’s Election Claims On The Merits...

In the end, should we be surprised that voters retain a strong sense of skepticism over the outcome of the presidential election? That a man who largely campaigned from his basement, who exhibited signs of age-related mental decline, could handily defeat a vigorous incumbent who drew immense crowds is naturally hard to believe.

The election of 2020, which included more than 155 million votes, was decided by approximately 300,000 votes in six states, or 0.2 percent of the electorate, all of which came by an unnatural flip of results late on election night. Despite judges’ repeated hand-wringing that any court action would disenfranchise millions of voters, the reality is that millions of others may have been disenfranchised, and they instinctively suspect so.

The one thing many voters seem to have learned through the legal chaos is that it’s easier to commit election violations than to stop them. So the electorate remains divided—even after “86 election cases.”

Read the whole thing and you'll have an answer when people tell you that 86 election cases decide that the election was fair.

Democrats as well as Republicans question election results

Matt Luceen didn’t vote for former President Donald Trump in 2020, but he came to Washington last week to protest President Biden’s inauguration, saying the election was flawed.

Mr. Luceen, a supporter of Sen. Bernard Sanders, said he toted signs that read “COUNT OUR VOTES BY HAND,” and “End the charade.”

“We don’t ever really put the paper into piles and count them by hand anymore,” the 34-year-old computer programmer said. “We just trust the machines, and we shouldn’t because we have documented proof that these machines are vulnerable.”

....

Democratic senators warned of potential ‘vote switching’ by Dominion voting machines prior to 2020 election.

In a December 2019 letter to Dominion Voting Systems, which has been mired in controversy after a human error involving its machines in Antrim County, Michigan, resulted in incorrect counts, Democratic Sens. Elizabeth Warren, Ron Wyden, and Amy Klobuchar and congressman Mark Pocan warned about reports of machines “switching votes,” “undisclosed vulnerabilities,” and “improbable” results that “threaten the integrity of our elections.”

...

Dominion’s suing Rudy Giuliani, but not these Democrats. But an “unbiased” voting machine company that only sues Republicans has kind of blown its credibility already.

From the day before the 2020 election: USA Today: Will your ballot be safe? Computer experts sound warnings on America’s voting machines.

...Nobody should buy voting machines from Dominion, or anyone else, using secret “proprietary software and hardware.” And, really, nobody should buy voting machines at all.

...Related: New York Times, Feb. 4, 2020: The Only Safe Election Is a Low-Tech Election: The Iowa caucus debacle proved that a 21st-century election requires 19th-century technology.

...But look, for elections to work, people — including the losing side — have to trust that voting is basically fair. Something like 40% of Americans have serious doubts. That’s destabilizing, and trying to pretend suddenly that only kooks have doubts, and trying to silence critics with legal thuggery a la Dominion, only makes the problem worse.

THE ELECTIONS WERE SO FRAUD-FREE THAT MEMBERS OF CONGRESS AREN’T EVEN ALLOWED TO CRITICIZE:

Newly-elected Republican Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, an ardent supporter of President Trump’s bid to expose voter and ballot fraud, has been punished by Twitter for blaming the defeat of two Georgia senators on state leaders for failing to “fix our elections.”

Twitter suspended key provisions of her Twitter account because, they said, she “violated” unexplained rules.

We haven’t believed the establishment for the last five years. We’re not going to start believing them now.

For 5 years we’ve been told nonstop by all the best people and institutions that Donald Trump was a hater racist foreign agent fool of a failure. And what happened?

On Election day, 75 million + Americans demonstrated we don’t believe the hype. Instead, we voted to continue the self-evident growth and benefits that America First policies were bringing to the whole world. Reality trumped the Postmodern narrative.

Turns out, what we needed was someone who could provide an alternative to the carefully scripted and controlled slow motion destruction of the United States which has been festering for decades. President Trump broke the Uniparty monopoly Humpty Dumpty, and there’s no putting those pieces back together again.

We haven’t believed the establishment for the last five years. We’re not going to start believing them now. The elites are still behaving like it doesn’t matter what we think, they are going to do whatever they want with no consequences, just like they’ve done for years. We are supposed to submit to outrageous fraud, overlook the brazen criminal acts, and accept as inevitable a senile placeholder, who will open the floodgates for every sick, destructive domination fantasy the Left indulges in.

Not this time.

Democrats on the Constitutionally permitted degree of electoral fraud

First: There is no election fraud

Second: You have not proven any cases of election fraud

Third: There is not enough election fraud to overturn the election

Fourth: Always remember that Trump stole the election with the help of Vladimir Putin.
