Unholy Academy: Profs show hostility toward evangelicals.

Excerpt:

Fifty-three percent of “non-evangelical university faculty say they hold cool or unfavorable views of Evangelical Christians,” according to a two-year study released today by the Institute for Jewish & Community Research. According to the study, one-third of all faculty surveyed also admitted to holding unfavorable views of Mormons.

Seventy one percent of the faculty who answered an online survey of 1,269 faculty members at over 700 four-year colleges and universities agreed with the statement: “This country would be better off if Christian fundamentalists kept their religious beliefs out of politics.”

Interestingly, “only 38% of faculty disagreed that the country would be better off if Muslims became more politically organized.”
Worth reading.

“For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.”

I resent this bigotry, but remember that the people who brought us the ’60s riots and believed it was a noble thing to consign millions of Asians to communism and violent death are the tenured faculty of the academy today.

They will grow old and die. And when they do, they will be replaced – not with little likenesses of themselves – but by their students who saw through their bigotry. Who recognized that they were lying about the being broad minded. Who were exposed to the putrid little gods these people worshipped. My children are excellent examples of people who went through the “system” and saw through the lies and deceit.

“Bring up a child in the way he shall go, and from it he shall not depart.” Don’t be afraid, things are never static and this too shall pass.
