The week in whoppers: Biden’s ‘unifying’ race riots, CNN’s inflation problem and more

 

This statement:

“Two summers ago, in the middle of a pandemic, we saw protests across the nation the likes of which you hadn’t seen since the 1960s. They unified people of every race and generation. Athletes and sports leagues boycotted and postponed games. Companies and workers proclaimed ‘Black Lives Matter.’ Students staged solidarity walkouts.”

We say: Biden must have been in his basement in summer 2020. Peaceful protests quickly turned into riots and looting, and Americans took notice: Their support for Black Lives Matter fell 12 points between June and September 2020, per Pew. NPR’s headline on an Ipsos survey that same month: “Americans Increasingly Polarized When It Comes To Racial Justice Protests, Poll Finds.”

According to the Left, there's nothing quite as unifying as a summer of race riots.

Never Apologize

 So, libertarian law guru Ilya Shapiro got a gig at Georgetown Law. When Grandpa Badfinger got his chance to keep his racist promise to only appoint a black woman, Shapiro observed that the nominee would forever bear an asterisk since she had been selected for her race and gender. This is not only true, but it is central to Biden’s decision. He said it. And the libs love it. Then Shapiro said it. And they freaked out.

Of course people will think she was picked for a reason other than her abilities. Biden promised he would pick his nominee for a reason other than her abilities.

Apparently, telling the truth is racist, even when the truth is that Democrats are racist. You just can’t say it, even though they say it. It’s like CRT. No, it is not taught in schools and also it must continue to be taught in schools.

Regardless, conservatives need to understand that the institutions – like academia – are past hope. They must be leveled and rebuilt into something that’s not trash. Anyone who does not get this, absolutely understand this, should not be elected dog catcher.

Biden is incompetent AND a racist demagogue

 Those who believed that Joe Biden was a good man and a calming influence have short memories.  

Less than ten years ago Biden shouted to a crowd of Black Democrats in Danville, Virginia that Mitt Romney was going “to put you back in chains.”  

He led the “high tech lynching” of Clarence Thomas during his nomination hearing.  

Biden has always been a demagogue, simply not a very successful one until the Democrats decide to roll him out one more time to be a figurehead for a rigged election.

Vaccine passports are white supremacist

 Has Joe Biden always been such an out and out racist?  ANSWER: Yes!

Implementing vaccine passports would be a white supremacist measure. This does not require a long explanation, so let's get straight to the point: poor people are much less likely to be vaccinated than higher-income persons.

According to Black Lives Matter and other civil-rights groups, it does not matter that this gap in immunization is not intended. It does not matter that the men and women managing the vaccine program and distribution, or administering it to the public, do not discriminate at the vaccine sites by the race of persons who come for the shots. 

Lack of deliberate intent does not excuse systemic racism. The fact that matters is this: "Black and Latino people are far more likely to live in poverty than white people, and despite having died at higher rates throughout the pandemic, they are receiving fewer vaccines than white people."  

Vaccine passports will obviously be issued only to persons who have completed the vaccination shots. And that means that a vaccine-passport system will be just as racially unjust as vaccine administration. Passports will inevitably privilege white people over people of color. Whites will be advantaged for travel, for attendance at sporting events or even government functions open only to passport holders. And as CNN's report above indicates, also for employment and job assignments. Jim Crow could not have thought of a better way to widen the income and social inequality gaps between whites and POCs. 

 It is also worth remembering that in the former slave states, manumitted blacks were required to carry with them at all times their certificate of manumission. If they didn't and so failed to produce them on demand, they could be (and were) returned immediately to slavery. So there is a certain history of "show me your papers" for black people that whites do not have. A lot of criticism by whites of the vaccine passport has been to compare it to Nazi Germany or the Soviet Union. Fair enough. But for black Americans, a more apt comparison would be to compare it to the Confederate Home Guard, described by some historians as the Gestapo of the Confederacy.
