“We think of this country as having a political divide, but we are actually not divided politically,” she told The Post. “The real divide in this country is along class lines — between an over-credentialed college elite and the working class.”
Though she has a PhD herself and admits to being “100% of the class I critique,” she’s motivated to give a voice to the working class who, she says, have been robbed of a platform by politicians and journalists from the elite echelons of society.
“I simply cannot stand to see the good-hearted working-class people of this country smeared by the left that sold them out,” she said. “We simply have evicted the working class from public view. We just don’t hear from them anymore, even though they represent most Americans.”

It’s not politics fueling the great American divide — it’s elite contempt for working class

The Greatest Islamophobia Hoax in America Exposed
The ‘Islamophobic’ shooter of three ‘Palestinians’ in Vermont actually supported Hamas.
When three Arab Muslim students were shot and wounded in Burlington, Vermont, politicians and the media immediately hyped it as the ‘Islamophobic Crime of the Century’.....President Biden...Vice President Kamala Harris...Bernie Sanders...Sen Peter Welch...Sarah George, the local State’s Attorney...Burlington Police Chief Jon Murad...Vermont Lt. Gov. David Zuckerman...All of these claims, along with many others around the shootings, were based on lies. The American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee falsely claimed that “a man shouted and harassed the victims, then proceeded to shoot them. We have reason to believe this shooting occurred because the victims are Arab.”In reality, they had been shot by a local resident outside his house who did not say a word....The three Muslim men were returning home from a party on Saturday night when James J. Eaton, a local resident with a history of mental instability, stumbled out of a white clapboard house on the residential street and without a word fired four shots at the three men.Eaton had been described as “that hippie guy” and “progressive”, an organic farmer who had posted a meme with a definition of “Amerika” that called it “the worst sense of the United States, ie imperialism, corruption and the global exportation of American culture.”He appeared to be a Biden supporterMedia outlets, anti-Israel activists and politicians attributed the shootings to the Hamas war. Everyone from Biden and Kamala on down emphasized the “Palestinian” identities of those shot and implied that Eaton had attacked them because he was opposed to the ‘Palestinian’ cause. In reality, Eaton supported Hamas.

Ineffective Maltruism
Important essay. Read the whole thing. Excerpt.
A key aspect of this “maltruism” is its ability to extend control through soft-sounding enterprises – how can something with “open” and “democracy” and “save” in its name – and be a “nonpartisan – nonprofit” entity to boot – be anything but good?
Happy squishy-sounding NGOs and “philanthropic LLCs” then extend their actual real hard power as funders and networkers and “third party validators” in ways that mere mortals cannot. We have yet to see an organization intended to create a global hive zombie mind call itself “Wicker Basket Full of Yawning Golden Retriever Puppies,” though the very fuzzy term “philanthrocapitalism” – also used to describe this approach – comes close. ...
The politics of this putative philanthropy are brazen. If one looks at those who have taken the “Giving Pledge,” one sees a list that one could easily mistake for the list of the owners of the private planes that jet to Davos for the annual World Economic Forum meeting.

The Nihilism of the Ruling Class Curtis Yarvin
David Rothkopf is the deep state made flesh. A sort of “Yung Kissinger,” Rothkopf has done the cursus honorum of journalism, government, philanthropy, and academia. Not that he is or ever was in charge of anything. No one is in charge of anything. There is only a way things work. But if anyone knows how things work, it is Rothkopf.
That’s why it’s worth reading his new masterpiece of airport nonfiction, American Resistance: The Inside Story of How The Deep State Saved the Nation. Or in case you have better things to do in the airport—my summary of the book’s argument:
The deep state does not exist.
The deep state is stronger than the president.
The deep state is the true democracy.
There is no deep state.
It is not my business to refute this remarkable logic—only to explain it.
What is the deep state? What does it think? Why does it do what it does? Where does it come from, and where is it going? Rothkopf is here to tell us—and yet, not. Like Kissinger, he loves nothing more than to say a thing and in the next breath deny it.
One random phrase caught my eye as a beautiful sample of his style. Rothkopf writes of “the alleged ties between Joe Biden’s son Hunter and the energy company Burisma in Ukraine” (my emphasis). Alleged! The fact that Hunter Biden was on Burisma’s board is as well-documented as the Holocaust. Yet with this one beautiful word, alleged, the commissar vanishes. Orwell was a rookie.

New Democrat Line: Democracy is a Threat to Democracy
Kurt Schlichter takes the next logical step in the Democrats' war on reality:
The ruling caste knows it maintains its sinecure not by persuasion but by power; if they can’t silence and subdue us, they’ll be trampled in the stampede to those who actually can adequately perform the job of running society. That’s why suddenly free speech has morphed into a threat to democracy. And, of course, democracy is also a threat to democracy.
But his main point is that billionaires will not save us from the radical Left. Individuals have their quirks and those quirks are going to lead to disappointment when the chips are down.
Money can be extremely helpful even though it is not a substitute for political leadership. The Elon Musks and the Peter Thiels and the rest of the not-left rich guys can be useful at times, but they are not conservative ideologues like us. It is not that they do not have a comprehensive political vision. It is that, except for Trump and maybe Ross Perot, they are not positioned to become the avatar of one out there in the electorate that existing pols have failed to claim and harness.
For that reason, to lean on the Crassus contingent, is to court consistent disappointment. Remember the Koch Brothers? They gave the libs fits, but they were not America First nationalists. They were quirky libertarians who, for every three good policy positions, held one that we reject, like freeing criminals or sending a bong to every high school grad. The last one is probably not a thing, but only because they didn’t think of it before fading away.
The oligarchs don't have the normal people's problems. They have different problems, not the ones that trouble normal people.
The main issue today is culture, as in who gets to run it – us or the woke groomer mutants? And that issue is the one that the rebel oligarchs are least likely to rebel over. They don’t have kids in public schools. Little JOmNerf#$, or whatever bizarre name Musk laid on his last kid, is not going to come home and say “Daddy, my teacher told me I am privileged and also that my penis has nothing to do with my sex.” This is a problem that we less enormously wealthy people face. ...
. What fighting these battles takes is really a hundred thousand outraged moms showing up at school board meetings and yelling and running themselves if they can’t scare the incumbents into doing their jobs instead of submitting to Big Woke.

American rulers imitate Roman corruption
The American ruling class has managed to internationalize corruption in ways that boggle the imagination. It’s weird that such a poor country as Ukraine has so many financial connections to so many members of the American political class and their relatives who have received hundreds of millions of dollars in return for selling their country out.
These are the people who have spent four years falsely accusing Donald Trump of being in Putin’s pocket while they got rich peddling American government favors to Russians, Ukrainians, and Chinese Communist organs.
For students of history, this is how Roman rulers became fabulously wealthy, by taking bribes from foreign rulers in return for influence peddling.

Looking for the Off-Ramp
The ladies at the Virginian Pilot are cheerleading Armageddon.
Meanwhile, Mark Steyn prefers to stop before the nukes or bioweapons are launched.
The World Health Organization (WHO) advised Ukraine to destroy any dangerous pathogens being kept in research laboratories to prevent "any potential spills" that could harm the public, an official told Reuters news agency on Thursday.
Like other countries, Ukraine has public health laboratories that study dangerous diseases in humans and animals, including Covid-19. Some of these labs have received support from the US, EU and WHO in the past.
Nothing to see here, move along. (Start Mark Steyn's comments and interview at 6:45)

The "Worst ruling Class In History" is asking us to sacrifice for Ukraine. No thanks. Go by yourself.
The Worst Ruling Class in History used your tax dollars to pay for the development of viruses that infected the whole world, killing millions. They lied about it, and to cover up their crimes they gave you lock-downs, vaccines that kill, masked toddlers, closed schools, ruined businesses, wealthy American oligarchs, stolen elections, empty store shelves, high utility bills, millions of illegal surging through our borders, a lying press, political prisoners, men claiming to be women and women claiming to be men, burning cities, mobs in the streets,, criminals released from jail, two-tier justice, widespread censorship, secret bioweapons labs, virulent racism taught in schools, record inflation, $9 gas, and a President that's mentally impaired.
Now they want to start a nuclear war.
Kurt Schlichter has a better idea.
No, we’ve sacrificed enough to the foreign policy screw-ups of Ivy League incompetents. Who got us into the Vietnam War? Who got us into Iraq? Not a lot of guys with high school diplomas, but those guys got asked to fight those wars. The same is true here. I see a lot of Twitter tough guys with the yellow and blue flag in their bios and not a lot of them seem to be accepting Ukraine’s appeal for fighters and enlisting in the Bill Kristol Brigade.
Hey, don’t worry – these same neo-commandos will cheer you and your kids on when we go make Ukraine safe for Ukrainians. Your sacrifices will be appreciated, plebs, right up until it’s convenient to start calling you racist, Jesus knuckle-draggers again.
Now, the regime media’s polls tell you a whole bunch of Americans would support a “no-fly” zone over Ukraine. ...
These people are fools who talk big but think little. ... Instead of polling “Would you support making the Russians stop acting like Russians always do in wars?” maybe we ask “Would you risk Putin – who we are told is crazy and evil – retaliating by detonating a nuclear weapon over your hometown and potentially melting your kids into radioactive goo in order to resolve a border dispute on the dismal side of the globe?”
I anticipate a significantly smaller “Yes” percentage when you ask the right question. ...
We need to reject the idea that we must sacrifice according to the dictates of our elite’s fetishes. We owe the Ukrainians nothing. We have no treaty with them – please do not quote vague promises of protection by Felonia Milhous von Pantsuit’s husband that were never ratified as a treaty by our Senate – and let’s be frank about the reality of the situation. Ukraine is on Russia’s border. Our lousy ruling class’s meddling in Ukrainian politics was going to be seen by the Bear as a threat. Saying so is not somehow backing Russia; it’s reality, something in short supply. Try knowing your enemy – it helps beat him....
You can still want the Ukrainians to repel the invaders without also buying the notion that we should sacrifice blood, treasure, and our rights to do it. This unjust war is the Ukrainians’ to fight. I hope they win. Most of us do. But the idea that we Americans must “sacrifice” our lives, money, and freedoms is itself as great a danger to our country as this border war on the other side of our planet.
We are Americans. Our first priority is America. And our terrible ruling caste should step up and sacrifice its own graft and power in order to defend it.

Mayor Pete said today that people struggling with rising gas prices should solve their issue by buying electric cars. In related news, homeless people should also just buy houses so they aren’t homeless any longer. Thanks for the tips, Marie Antoinette.

Our elites are either corrupt and evil or corrupt and totally incompetent....or both.
U.S. in talks with Poland on deal to send fighter jets to Ukraine
Here's how it works: The Poles and other former Russian satellites have air forces full of old Soviet MiGs. So Warsaw would give its MiGs to Kiev, because Ukrainian pilots already know how to fly them.
...
The US media have enthusiastically reported the above developments as the latest example of the new Nato "unity", so Blinken has now moved on to do the same deal with the Baltics. Alas, the only people who don't seem to be on board are Warsaw, as befits the government of a country whose national anthem begins "Poland is not yet lost..." From the Prime Minister on Sunday:
!!FAKE NEWS!!
Poland won't send its fighter jets to #Ukraine as well as allow to use its airports.
We significantly help in many other areas.
I have no idea why whoever controls "the Biden Administration" is so anxious to bring on World War III. But, even if you thought World War III was a good idea, are you really sure you want these guys running it? As Rochelle Wolensky's mea sorta culpa suggests and the released Pfizer documents confirm, for the last two years we have been governed by elites that are either corrupt and evil or corrupt and totally incompetent. Whichever you opt for, they're entirely relaxed about ruining millions of lives - and then ruining them all over again if it suits their mad ambition.
Tomorrow, or maybe even later today, the number of refugees from Ukraine will reach two million. That's the biggest number of displaced persons in Europe since the end of World War II. Poland alone has taken in over a million: That may be enough to destabilise the place even without the US Government leaking to their media poodles that Polish MiGs will now be going full Red Baron on the Russian Air Force.

How today’s elites manipulate America’s working class
Glenn Reynolds "Instapundit"
In the old days, Russia would send communist agitators to rile up the working class. Nowadays, they don’t have to. The West’s ruling class is happy to do the agitating.Over the past few years — and, really, the past few decades — we’ve seen a steady assault on the well-being, and the social standing, of the working class, and a decline in upward mobility. And as people start to notice and object, the response has been to double down.
While the upper and upper-middle classes, what demographer Joel Kotkin calls the “Gentry Class,” flourished from the initial tech boom to the present, income and general well-being for the middle and lower-middle classes stagnated or declined. Manufacturing jobs went overseas, and those left unemployed were snidely told to “learn to code.”
Occasionally the mask slipped, as with Hillary Clinton’s “basket of deplorables” remark, or Barack Obama’s snide reference to people “bitterly clinging” to their guns and their religion. Increasingly, though, the mask wasn’t there at all. The upper classes draw a lot of their self-esteem from a claimed superiority to the working class, which requires a lot of put-downs for its maintenance.
Then came COVID. The widespread lockdowns were nice for members of the Gentry Class, who fired up their laptops and worked remotely. They stayed home “keeping safe” while members of the working class brought them stuff.
There were a few glimmers of gratitude — Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau even told people to thank truckers — but those didn’t last long, nor did they conceal what turned out to be the biggest transfer of wealth in human history, as big businesses like Amazon and Walmart thrived while mom-and-pop businesses failed under the lockdowns.
And sometimes when the mask slipped, it literally slipped. As many have noticed, we developed a new convention in which the servant class is masked, while the celebrities and the oligarchs go free, something demonstrated at gatherings ranging from the Met Gala to the Oscars. Elsewhere, stars and politicians flouted the mask laws while small businesses were shut down.
Then the mandatory vaccine rules proliferated even as the vaccines appeared to underperform. Canadian truckers who protested were smeared by Trudeau as racists, sexists, homophobes, transphobes, etc. Trudeau, who took a knee to violent, destructive Black Lives Matter protests, invoked virtual martial law to put the working-class protesters in their place. By arresting people, seizing bank accounts and threatening to take drivers’ trucks, Trudeau was creating his own martyrs.
Polls indicate that most US Democrats support him and would do the same here.
Want the working class to feel isolated, angry and ill-used? The West’s own leadership is doing a better job than any Soviet agitators did.
In the end, Trudeau blinked. Maybe he remembered something important: It’s not the laptop class that brings food to the grocery stores. But will American leaders remember that?

Need any more proof that the Ruling Class don't believe that masks work?

Never Apologize
So, libertarian law guru Ilya Shapiro got a gig at Georgetown Law. When Grandpa Badfinger got his chance to keep his racist promise to only appoint a black woman, Shapiro observed that the nominee would forever bear an asterisk since she had been selected for her race and gender. This is not only true, but it is central to Biden’s decision. He said it. And the libs love it. Then Shapiro said it. And they freaked out.
Of course people will think she was picked for a reason other than her abilities. Biden promised he would pick his nominee for a reason other than her abilities.
Apparently, telling the truth is racist, even when the truth is that Democrats are racist. You just can’t say it, even though they say it. It’s like CRT. No, it is not taught in schools and also it must continue to be taught in schools.
Regardless, conservatives need to understand that the institutions – like academia – are past hope. They must be leveled and rebuilt into something that’s not trash. Anyone who does not get this, absolutely understand this, should not be elected dog catcher.
Masks Are for the Peasants
Gavin Newsom decided he did not need to wear a mask at a big football game in the middle of a city where you have to wrap your face in a cloth just to get some tacos. He got photographed maskless, then lied about it. And you are expected to take it. After all, this is no longer about science, if it ever was. This is about you peons knowing your place.
And even as these schmucks demand obedience, they quiver in terror at the thought of Joe Rogan saying unapproved stuff. I keep telling you – these people only have a Potemkin façade of strength. They are weak, and their quest to shut up everyone who refuses to kowtow to them is proof.
Will We End Up Invading Canada?
The old stereotype of Canadians as slow-talking, syrup-slurping igloo jockeys has been dashed this week as our friends to the north have launched a peaceful working class revolt against the blackface-wearing clown they have as their prime minister, as well as against that country’s entire ruling caste. We patriotic Americans stand in solidarity with the big rig truckers pushing back against The Man – although that assumes their oppressor’s gender. But, in this Age of Insanity, there’s always the possibility of chaos – even in Canada. While the good-natured, polite pushback against the globalist establishment has been entirely pleasant so far, the terrified elite’s reaction to it has not. It’s been ugly and could get uglier. All over the world, it is the same when the people of what we once knew as the Free World challenge the powerful. The failed global elite is getting desperate to retain its power, from Austria to Australia. All those alleged principles you hear so much about when you try to protect or pursue your own interests? Forget them. Silencing dissenters. Banning assemblies. Even turning the cops on peaceful protestors. These are the tools in the rulers’ toolbox. You see it here in America too, in government and out. Even Neil Young wants to shut down and gag Joe Rogan for refusing to enforce the official narrative, and is anyone surprised? They adore censorship. They won’t call it that. They call it suppressing “misinformation,” with the definition of that term being anything they don’t want people to hear. And they call protest against the corrupt incompetents of the ruling class “insurrection.”

The Ruling Class Wants You Dead
1. I've told this story before, but just before the pandemic hit I was at a fancy dinner party in a foreign country surrounded by some of the world's best and brightest. We began to openly speculate about the impact the virus would have on the United States...
2. Even in those days we knew the virus would be particularly deadly for the elderly, and so after verbalizing this concern, a colleague- who has since gone on to have an impressive career in a prestigious field- scoffed...3. He reminded me that the most susceptible were undoubtedly old, white Americans from "places that voted for Trump," and that their disappearance would do more for the country than attempts to prolong their lives. His comment was warmly received by several others.4. I was taken aback and didn't have much to say after that, but I've never forgotten that conversation and how it felt to listen to someone so educated and advantaged display such contempt for the people from back home- my people.

Intellectuals have wreaked horrific devastation on much of the world, now it's America's turn
Related: To quote Neal Stephenson, from In The Beginning Was The Command Line, “During this century, intellectualism failed, and everyone knows it. In places like Russia and Germany, the common people agreed to loosen their grip on traditional folkways, mores, and religion, and let the intellectuals run with the ball, and they screwed everything up and turned the century into an abbatoir. Those wordy intellectuals used to be merely tedious; now they seem kind of dangerous as well. We Americans are the only ones who didn’t get creamed at some point during all of this. We are free and prosperous because we have inherited political and values systems fabricated by a particular set of eighteenth-century intellectuals who happened to get it right. But we have lost touch with those intellectuals.”
That was last century. This century the intellectuals are trying to bring to America what they did to Europe in the 20th.
