Richardson out as Commerce Secretary

The "Chicago Rules" are changing. Bill Richardson doesn't want to face criminal prosecution and a confirmation battle at the same time.
New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson on Sunday announced that he was withdrawing his nomination to be President-elect Barack Obama's commerce secretary amid a grand jury investigation into how some of his political donors won a lucrative state contract

It usually takes some time for an administration to become embroiled in scandal. This one manages to get a head start.
