I don’t watch the Sunday news shows because I’m often in church when they’re on. But the biggest reason is that they focus on the frivolous. Thirty minutes of propagandists sitting around a table mouthing a combination of lies and platitudes designed to distract the views from the things that are important. And it’s not just because they people who stage these weekly shows are stupid partisans, it’s because they are afraid of angering the powerful people who can destroy their careers, make their lives miserable or put them in jail. People like Tim Geithner who controls the IRS and Eric Holder who controls the FBI, and ultimately Barack Obama who controls them all.
