Remember when Obama promised to bring us all together?

President Barack Obama was warmly welcomed to Wisconsin by Gov. Scott Walker on Thursday, then let loose with another one of his characteristic petty partisan screeds, this one ridiculing his host....

One hardly knows where to begin rebutting such hogwash, but it might as well be at the beginning with that crack about the crazy uncle. This comes from the World’s Greatest Orator, who was going to end the era of partisan division and facilitate a serious discussion about the nature’s future. It also comes from the leader of a party that features a crazy and foul-mouthed Uncle Joe and a creepy face-lifted Aunt Nancy and a perverted Cousin Anthony who keeps sending pictures of his underwear-class private parts over his cell phone and a First Mom who insists that everyone eat their vegetables while she wolfs down what the fancy chefs who’ve been flown have created and a cackling evil stepmother Hillary who seems next in line to lead our very dysfunctional national family, and we can’t share the audience’s satisfaction that everything has worked out so well since they’ve been “put in charge of stuff.”

Thomas B. Edsall quotes a college professor and accuses Scott Walker of  " ... activat[ing] the racial animus of white workers.”  Ignore for a moment that activating the racial animus of blacks is the guiding principle of the Democrats.

But then he quotes Walker when he says:

“We need to make sure we put American workers first in everything we do, from immigration to tax policy to regulatory reform.”

Is that a bad thing? should that make Americans move away from Walker? 

Oh, and he says that Walker taps into the populist hostility toward corporate America, keeping eages low while making record profits.

Be afraid, NY Times, be very afraid.

Scott walker has come out as opposed to illegal immigration - which puts him at odds with Obama, the Far left and crony capitalists that like the low wages that a stream of illegals affords.  And he's for an a legal immigration policy  "

...that’s based, first and foremost, on protecting American workers and American wages  ..."

The Liberal press fainted. The Republican establishment accused him of flip-flopping, but that's where the American people are and that's the most sensible immigration policy imaginable.  As an immigrant myself, I have the ultimate moral authority on this subject and all you non-immigrants can just sit down and shut up.

Scott Walker is right up there with Ted Cruz as my favorite Republican candidate for President.

Wisconsin's Neo Nazis

Bud Norman mentioned this Battering Rams in Wisconsin about the Nazi-syle reign of terror in Wisconsin against those who sided with Scott Walker.

This is America, where a citizen is free to express opinions and participate in politics without fear of retribution. That’s the way it’s supposed to be, but the ideal seems to be slipping away. The diminution of fresh speech is not just a matter of the increasingly confined parameters of polite opinion, enforced by boycotts and restricted career opportunities and the howling of mobs, or even the usual heavy hand of government, such as the harassment of conservative groups by the Internal Revenue Service or the politicized prosecutions by the Department of Justice or the extra regulatory scrutiny applied to those businesses donating to the wrong candidates. It has now come to the point that armed agents of the government have been invading homes, seizing property, and bullying ordinary citizens into silence for no reason other than their political beliefs.

If this sounds like the most far-fetched sort of paranoid right-wing fantasy, we’d urge you to read David French’s chilling article, headlined “Wisconsin’s Shame: ‘I Thought it Was a Home Invasion,'” at The National Review. Although there had already been scattered reports about the outrageous “John Doe Investigation” that a renegade prosecutor and a rubber-stamping judge had launched against various groups that supported Gov. Scott Walker’s efforts to reform the state’s collective bargaining laws regarding public sector unions, a fishing expedition which was eventually halted by a higher court that rightly considered it a clear attempt to intimidate the prosecutor’s political opponents into silence, only now are those targeted in the investigation coming forward with stories about doors being broken down with battering rams, computers being confiscated, children being terrified, neighbors being scandalized, and dozens of heavily armed police officers shouting warnings that no lawyers were to be contacted and no was to be told. The descriptions evoke Nazi-era Germany or the Soviet bloc, but it happened in Wisconsin, the birthplace of the “progressive movement.”

Norman notes that even though there has been some coverage of these outrages against innocent citizens exercising their free speech rights, the media - never a supporter of conservatives - is either spiking this story or continues to spread the smears of wrongdoing against Walker and his supporters.  That's why the rogue prosecutors and judges in Wisconsin went ahead with this, the media had their backs.

Ron Fornier reporting from New Hampshire

A crowd is huddled inside the Lawrence Barn Community Center in Hollis. Men wear flannel shirts and work coats to keep off the creeping November chill. Women in fleece pullovers or parkas dislodged from the closet for the first time since March rub their hands together for warmth.


The warmest person in the building is Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker, who works the room after speaking under the TV lights for 30 minutes and taking citizens’ questions for 20 more.

Ron Fournier — distinct in his fashionable black jacket, pressed jeans and once shiny dress shoes now caked with New Hampshire mud — approaches a woman who clutches a Sharpie and a copy of Walker's book: "Unintimidated".

“Excuse me, do you mind if I ask what you thought of the governor's speech?”

Woman: “I thought it was great. I liked how he related to average people, you know? I don’t hear a lot of candidates talking about how to make it easier for low-income families to succeed in America.”

Ron Fournier: “It didn’t bother you that his second cousin once removed said Tom Brady wears ladies underwear?

Woman: “Who said that?”

Ron Fournier: “Walkers second cousin once removed. He said it at a Milwaukee fund-raiser three weeks ago. Thus far, Walker has failed to disown his cousin, denounce the comment, or apologize to Tom Brady for it.

Woman: “Give me his address and I’ll go apologize to Tom Brady for it.”

Ron Fournier: "Never mind, I need to write one of my trademark columns where I claim neutrality while sliming Republicans. Oh, did you know that Bush lied to get us into Iraq?"

GIULIANI, WALKER, AND THE MEDIA’S PRO-OBAMA MCCARTHYISM

The media is currently on a full-bore witch hunt to root out and politically batter those in the GOP who refuse to vouch for Obama as a flag-waving Jesus freak.

For verbalizing his throughtcrime in a private setting, Giuliani was outed by the media (Obama’s Palace Guards at Politico) last week, locked in the public stocks of 24/7 news coverage, and brutalized like a baby seal.

Scott Walker Is a Threat to the Existing [Liberal] Social Order

There are no real class divisions in America except one: the college-educated versus the non-college educated. It helps to think of this in terms borrowed from the world of a Jane Austen novel: graduating from college is what makes you a “gentleman.” (A degree from an Ivy League school makes you part of the aristocracy.) It qualifies you to marry the right people and hold the right kind of positions. It makes you respectable. And even if you don’t achieve much in the world of work and business, even if you’re still working as a barista ten years later, you still retain that special status. It’s a modern form of “genteel poverty,” which is considered superior to the regular kind of poverty.

If you don’t have a college degree, by contrast, you are looked down upon as a vulgar commoner who is presumptuously attempting to rise above his station. Which is pretty much what they’re saying about Scott Walker. This prejudice is particularly strong when applied to anyone from the right, whose retrograde views are easily attributed to his lack of attendance at the gentleman’s finishing school that is the university.

That brings us to the heart of the matter. I have observed before that left-leaning politics has become “part of the cultural class identity of college-educated people,” a prejudice that lingers long after they have graduated. You can see how this goes the other way, too. If to be college-educated is to have left-leaning views—then to have the “correct” political values, one must be college-educated.

You can see now what is fueling the reaction on the left. If Scott Walker can run for president, he is challenging the basic cultural class identity of the mainstream left. He is more than a threat to the Democrats’ hold on political power. He is a threat to the existing social order.
