One of the current media memes about Senator McCain's selection of Gov. Palin as his running mate is that it's been an unusually rough and rocky rollout. It seems to me that the only thing that's been rocky has been the quality of media and blogosphere coverage of her. We have the false allegations about the birth of her youngest son, the false allegations that she supported Pat Buchanan, the false claim that she was a member of the Alaska Independence Party, the NYT's error-filled report on the vetting process, and so on.
