MSNBC Applies Multiple Coats of Whitewash to Obama

It was, I suppose, unavoidable. The media arm of the Democrat party has applied the label “corrupt” to the Republicans for so long that I was convinced that the GOP had renamed itself the “POC” (Party of Corruption).

So now we have the Blago scandal piled on top of the Rangel scandal piled on top of the Jefferson scandal, and let’s avert our eyes from the Dodd scandal and the Frank scandal, and all of a sudden the MSM is forced to admit that “scandal” is not exclusively tied to the Republicans.

And they are forced to admit that Illinois – and particularly Chicago – politics is, ahem, highly suspect. It is widely known that nothing gets done in that city and state without somebody being paid off. So we now get a MSNBC blog posting entitled: FIRST THOUGHTS: SO WHO'S CORRUPT NOW?

But the primary order of business is to make sure that there is no collateral damage to the Anointed One. So we are reminded multiple times:

….Obama (who is in no way implicated in the government's report)

And remember, the big “O” is not implicated:

…even though the president-elect isn’t implicated here (in fact, the affidavit makes it crystal clear that Obama and his team weren’t willing to play ball).

And remember, the Messiah is more popular that the Baby Jesus:

While the Blagojevich scandal is embarrassing to the incoming Obama administration, polls are showing that the president-elect is enjoying quite a honeymoon right now. A new Los Angeles Times/Bloomberg poll shows that 74% of respondents have positive feelings about Obama’s presidential victory, 79% approve of the way he’s handling his transition, and 59% say they have a good idea of where Obama wants to lead the country.

And let's not connect the dots to the Obama intimates who were mentioned in the criminal complaint. That would be getting too close to Hope and Change. People like "Tony" Rezko and the unnamed Obama aide who was negotiating with Blago.

Obviously not.

Barry Barak Hussein Dunham Obama is clearly and simply a victim of some unfortunate circumstances beyond his control.

Now start thinking about all the Hope and Change in the air. Breathe deeply, try hard not to puke and remember that tomorrow is another day.

Oh, it appears that the media is scrubbing its past by deleting references to the Obama links to Blago. At one time the American media mocked the Soviet media for historical revisionism, such as airbrushing out high officials of the Communist party who had been liquidated. It appears that they are now taking lessons from the Stalinist past.
