A Mostly Peaceful War

People who have been in battle know the old adage, “war is long periods of boredom punctuated by moments of sheer terror.”  I’m reminded of this when any reporter describes a riot that they approve as “mostly peaceful.”

Could this be why we’re not deluged by on-the-scene reporting from the war in Ukraine every day?  Is that why we are not getting intrepid CNN reporters filming the “mostly peaceful” war in Ukraine?  The American people should get some feedback from the $100 billion-and-counting treasure we’re sending there, even as the people of East Palestine are getting turned down for Federal relief.

CNN’s Amanpour Compares Trump To Nazi Germany’s Kristallnacht

If Conservatives attending a rally is the same as a Nazi rally, the Left can, in good conscience, do anything to you.

The face of evil
The face of evil

Yes indeed, she really said that with 100% conviction that she is speaking the truth. Trump is Hitler.

What was Kristallnacht?

“Starting in the late hours of November 9 and continuing into the next day, Nazi mobs torched or otherwise vandalized hundreds of synagogues throughout Germany and damaged, if not completely destroyed, thousands of Jewish homes, schools, businesses, hospitals and cemeteries. Nearly 100 Jews were murdered during the violence. Nazi officials ordered German police officers and firemen to do nothing as the riots raged and buildings burned, although firefighters were allowed to extinguish blazes that threatened Aryan-owned property.”

The Jewish community was fined nearly $400 million (in 1938 dollars) for the damage Hitler’s Gestapo inflicted and over 30,000 Jewish men were rounded up in the days after Kristallnacht and sent to the concentration camps.

This horrific event in 1938 is not and should never ever be compared to any events or people today. But that is exactly what Christiane Amanpour did. And she meant it.

Anti-Semitism is completely ok if it is spouted by journalists, especially by those journalists who hate President Trump and have done everything they can for the last four years to spread lies and misinformation.

Amanpour, Frum and too many others are not only hating for the sake of hating because of President Trump, they are using the Jewish people as props for their hatred. That is dangerously wrong on every level for ALL of us.

The Chicom News Network

Stacy McCain

Our national news media have not exactly covered themselves in glory lately, but they haven’t noticed their own failures because they’ve been too busy congratulating themselves for their “courage” as leaders of the opposition to President Trump. Weir’s CNN colleague Jim Acosta is the tip of a large iceberg of partisan political bias in the press corps. Journalists can’t seem to understand why so many Americans hate them, when the answer is very simple: The media hate America, and America is simply returning the favor.

Consider how, since the COVID-19 pandemic erupted, CNN has shifted its reporting to reflect propaganda messages from the communist regime in Beijing. CNN is certainly not alone in this, and it arguably isn’t as bad as such of its media peers as NBC News and the New York Times in terms of toeing the pro-China line. Yet after the Chinese communists claimed that it was “racist” to refer to the disease from Wuhan by its place of origin, CNN’s Acosta and Chris Cuomo used this line of attack on Trump. It was soon pointed out, of course, that CNN had repeatedly used the phrase “Wuhan coronavirus” in its early reporting on the outbreak in China. Only when the disease began killing Americans did CNN decide its place of origin should be forgotten....

According to CNN, Americans aren’t dying because of a virus from China, they’re dying because Trump is president. And somehow, in the muddled mind of the network’s Chief Climate Correspondent, this is related to global warming....

What remains is the media’s persistent bias, manifested as hatred of Trump ... but expressing a more fundamental hostility to the people who elected Trump. It is you — the people Hillary Clinton called “deplorables,” out there in your rural “red” states and Republican-voting suburbs — whom the media really blame for everything wrong in the world, including this virus from China. You can watch CNN all day long and never hear a word about Beijing’s disinformation campaign. China lied, people died, but the anti-Trump media would rather defend the brutal communist dictatorship than to admit the truth. No matter how much you hate CNN, you can’t possibly hate them as much as they hate you — or as much as Bill Weir hates his Jesus-loving mother. Never trust a man who speaks ill of his mother, or works for CNN.

Cash-Strapped CNN Now Just Recycling Old Articles But Replacing 'Russian Collusion' With 'Ukrainian Scandal'

Babylon Bee:
ATLANTA, GA—Strapped for cash and failing in ratings, CNN has discovered an innovative new way to cut costs: simply rerunning articles from a year or two ago and replacing the phrase "Russian collusion" with an updated term, "Ukrainian scandal."

"This is a green, Earth-friendly way to recycle news stories," said a CNN rep. "We have discovered a completely carbon-neutral way to produce indefinitely renewable outrage."

CNN technical experts simply searched their website for any article about the Russian collusion hoax and replaced all references to Russia with references to Ukraine.

Leftists have praised CNN's move, saying it is the most environmentally conscious way to report news stories. "Other news organizations are spending lots of resources and generating a ton of carbon by actually reporting on things that really happened," said one climate activist. "But CNN recycles their wild conspiracy theories every couple years, allowing us to reuse our old, beat-up sense of outrage for years to come."

FAKE NEWS: Liberal Media Falsely Claims White House Admitted to Quid Pro Quo with Ukraine

While Mulvaney did not himself use the term “quid pro quo,” when he was told by a reporter during a White House press conference that the situation of withholding aid to get Ukraine was in fact a quid pro quo, Mulvaney said, “We do that all the time.”

“You’re saying the president of the US can’t ask someone to help with an ongoing public investigation?” Mulvaney said.
During a July 25 phone call with Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky — at a time when the White House was withholding military aid from Zelensky’s country — Trump asked Zelensky to “get to the bottom” of questions about the 2016 election.

None of this is new information. We knew from the transcript that President Trump asked for Ukraine's help in the ongoing investigation into the 2016 election. We also know that Ukraine didn't even know that the military aid was being withheld until a month after Trump's call with President Zelensky.

“I have news for everybody," Mulvaney said. "Get over it. There’s going to be political influence in foreign policy ... that’s going to happen. Elections have consequences.”

This is true. Obama threatened to cut off aid to Nigeria over anti-gay legislation in the country in 2011, and again in 2013 over corruption issues. Joe Biden and the entire media argue that his threat to withhold a billion-dollar loan to Ukraine unless they fired their head prosecutor was not a quid pro quo because, they say, the prosecutor was corrupt.

Despite this, the media is claiming, falsely, that the White House has admitted to a quid pro quo. Other outlets like HuffPost, The Daily Beast, Washington Post, have all echoed the claim. The New York Times falsely claimed in a tweet that Mulvaney admitted aid was cut off to Ukraine to pressure them to investigate Democrats. Adam Schiff is claiming Mulvaney's statement has made things "much, much worse."

Yeah, not at all.

Even FOX News suggests that this was a gaffe that needed to be "walked back."    That's bullshit.

While Cracking Down On Fringe Conspiracy Theorists, Facebook Accidentally Bans CNN

Babylon Bee:

"Our algorithm looked for pages and people that were constantly peddling outlandish conspiracy theories, and it seems to have banned CNN for some reason," a Facebook representative said in a statement. "It appears that since CNN is still insisting that President Trump colluded with Russia, despite a mountain of facts and evidence showing that he did not, our computer systems determined that our network would have much less fake news without CNN."

Mary Katharine Ham: Shouldn’t we be treating it as good news for America that Trump didn’t collude with Russia?

I’ve heard her point made often this week, that Russiagate true believers obviously hoped for the worst from all this even though it would have been ruinous for their country. True enough. If Mueller could prove that Trump had conspired with Putin to influence the 2016 campaign POTUS’s legitimacy would be shattered, America would be humiliated, the right would be in chaos, and the bottom would fall out of public faith in the integrity of presidential elections (to the extent it hasn’t already). It’d be a catastrophe. And yet it wasn’t joy that had Rachel Maddow’s voice cracking on Monday night after Bill Barr assured the country that the worst fortunately hadn’t come to pass. How come?

When you recognize that conspiracy theories are mini-religions, you see it’s a normal reaction. Look at the people who join doomsday cults that believe the world will end on a predetermined date, then somehow have to cope after that date comes and goes. The world isn’t ending! The greatest news of all, right? But they don’t treat it as great. There’s no rejoicing. They cry, and then they get to work on retconning their beliefs such that they were right all along except for the particular date on which they thought doomsday would arrive. Russiagate truthers will do this too, instinctively. It’s a hard thing to ask someone to embrace a religion, build a worldview around it, and then force them to reckon with it being exposed as false in an instant. How would you feel if your chosen faith were somehow debunked today? People hate to be wrong, especially about the things in which they’re most emotionally invested.

Ann Coulter: "FAKE NEWS AUTOPSY"

How CNN lied to make Trump look like a racist.

I present CNN's Ana Cabrera.

On Sunday night, Cabrera launched a premeditated, vicious, racist lie about President Trump, then proceeded to discuss the false story with a black guest, primed to analyze the fake news.

We'll slow down the replay in order to follow the ball, so you can see every handoff in the creation of fake news.

A few weeks ago, when Judge Brett Kavanaugh was facing 30-year-old, completely uncorroborated accusations of sexual assault based on recovered memories in order to block his Supreme Court appointment, Trump said, "It's a very scary time for young men in America when you can be guilty of something that you may not be guilty of."

This statement was quoted by numerous news outlets, including CNN: "Trump says it's 'a very scary time for young men in America,'" Jeremy Diamond, Oct. 2.

Cabrera rewrote the president's quote, telling CNN viewers that Trump had said: "WHITE men have a lot to fear right now."

How did "white" get slipped in there?

If this were merely a mistake, there are lots of words in the English language that might have been inserted instead of "white." Why not "radial tire"? Why not "hangnail"? Why not the words "virtuoso" or "champagne"?

Dictionaries are heavy with all of the words that might have been inserted if this were an accident. How could the word "white" inadvertently get slipped into a Trump quote?

CNN intentionally told an ugly lie about the most incendiary issue roiling the nation: race. It wasn't a lie about Trump's position on tax policy, North Korea or school vouchers. The network deliberately pushed a racism narrative calculated to incite racial hatred that could get someone killed.

Like a professional jewel thief swiping a Cartier watch so deftly that the guard doesn't notice, Cabrera launched the lie during a segment that began: "People are talking about a string of recent incidents with racial undertones."

"People are talking about" is how opinion journalism masquerades as news. What topics aren't "people talking about"?

People are talking about CNN head Jeff Zucker's split from his wife after 21 years.

People are talking about Chris Cuomo's behavior at the CNN Christmas party.

People are talking about how Ana Cabrera got her job.

Cabrera then presented two stories about white people falsely accusing black people of doing things they hadn't done -- which was ironic, inasmuch as Cabrera was about to falsely accuse Trump of doing something he hadn't done.

After a brief word from a black guest, professor Marc Lamont Hill, who said our world is "still shot through with white supremacy," Cabrera told the lie about Trump:

"President Trump and his son, Don Jr., said this week, white men have a lot to fear right now."

(His son said no such thing either.)

Cabrera then ran a clip of "Saturday Night Live" comedian Michael Che's "take" on the nonexistent quote, in which he injected race into the president's remarks, calling Trump a "white dude."

Che: "Come on. Old, rich white dude telling us it's a scary time in America? That is pure comedy."

(The absence of a punchline was covered with, "That is pure comedy," meaning, "Please laugh now!")

At this point in the program, the lie about Trump transformed into actual presidential policy. Cabrera asked Hill, "Why do you think that is Trump's strategy?"

Hill went off on the fictional Trump quote, talking about the president's "racial tribalism." Again, this was about a Trump statement that had absolutely nothing to do with race -- until CNN made it so.

"It stokes white fear," Hill continued, "saying that it's a scary time to be a white man because you get accused of something that you didn't do" -- as CNN was accusing Trump of something he didn't do.

Goebbels would be proud!

If this were an error, it would have been quickly corrected before the first commercial break. It was not corrected because it's not a mistake; it's a political strategy. CNN invents fake news to push an ugly narrative about the president's "racial tribalism."

That's why an entire news segment was prepared around the fake quote, with an invited guest asked to comment on something Trump never said.
