HOW HILLARY MADE THAT $100K IN CATTLE FUTURES

I can't remember if I have ever written this up, or maybe just explained it in a interview at some point, but I have had several people ask, so I'll explain it.
This is how Hillary Clinton "made" $100,000 off of an initial "investment" of $1000 in cattle futures back in the early 80's.

It was textbook money laundering.

I know you're shocked - SHOCKED to think that a Clinton could be involved in anything untoward, but I'm afraid it is true.

Back in the 80's in Arkansas, Bill and Hillary were the power couple ascending first to the position of Attorney General and then to the governor's mansion. Being the psychopathic whores that they both are, they were all about cashing in on their power and accepting de facto bribes and payola.

In Arkansas the Tyson family (as in Tyson chicken) were the big players at the time. Wal-Mart was still getting off the ground. Old Man Tyson wanted to buy off the Clintons, and so a money laundering scheme was hatched. A futures account would be opened with a broker named Red Bone (no joke) in HILLARY'S NAME. Red Bone cleared through a company called Refco, which would later become MF Global. That company through its entire history and iterations has always been a hive of villainy.

Anyway, the account was opened in Hillary's name and Hillary made an opening deposit of $1000.

Every day at the opening bell Red Bone, per Old Man Tyson's instructions, would put in two orders: Buy 50 contracts of live cattle futures AND sell 50 contracts of live cattle futures. (I'm just using 50 as a round number, I don't know exactly what the quantites were.)

At the close the same thing would be done - buy 50 and sell 50.

On days in which the market was higher from the open to the close, Hillary's account would be assigned the lower buy from the open and the higher sell from the close. If the close was $0.25 per pound higher than the open, the math would look like this:

$0.25 X 400 = $100 per contract
$100 per contract X 50 contracts = $5000

A live cattle contract is 40,000 pounds, so the coefficient is 400. Trust me on that. The price is actually quoted in "hundredweights", hence the dropping of two zeroes.

Now here's the money laundering bit. The "losing" trades, namely the sell executed at the open and the buy executed at the close at the same prices would be assigned to Old Man Tyson's account.

On days when the market moved lower from the open to the close, Hillary was given the sell from the open and the buy from the close. Sell high, buy back low. Tyson got the opposite side.

Do that every day for a month or so and you can move $100k from Tyson to the Clintons very quickly. I think Red Bone also threw a few "losers" into Hillary's account just to attempt to cover their tracks - and yes, he made commission on all of it. I didn't back the commissions out of the calculation above, but of course Red Bone charged a hefty commission on every contract.

Giving the "good" trades to Hillary and the "bad" trades to Tyson is simply a way to move money from Tyson to the Clintons without Tyson writing the Clintons a check. This is called "money laundering".

This case was actually the reason why the law was changed and brokers HAD to attach an account number to every order UPON ENTERING THE ORDER. I started in the business in 1997, and that change predated me by 15 years. I can't imagine how it is that they let people assign account numbers at the end of the day - ever. That is just begging for unfair practices with regards to assigning of prices to customers. Favoritism, frontrunning, etc.

Oh, and Hillary claimed complete ignorance about all of this, which is, of course, a complete lie. She and Bill knew exactly what they were doing and why.

Too bad no one cared about the Clintons being psychopathic liars and conartists, because maybe then Hillary wouldn't have been able to murder Ambassador Chris Stevens and run all of those guns and MANPADS to the Muslim Brotherhood/AlQaeda, amongst all of their many other crimes.

Things like this matter. Give a money laundering psychopath enough power and they will move on to murder, genocide and tyranny. Ignore these indicators at your own peril.

But the subhead should read: "I thought we had trashed and lied about Ken Cuccinelli enough to have destroyed his reputation. We're upset that Democrat Terry McAuliffe is getting a taste of his own medicine."

McAuliffe, a man who made his fortune in politics and politically connect enterprises is an awful human being. He made a reported $18 million from his share of Global Crossings, a firm he got shares in due to his political connections, and sold out at the peak before it went bankrupt and thousands lost their jobs. He's had as string of business failures, most of whom seem to leave him with more money than before and his campaign to be the next Virginia governor seems to be based on his non-existent business acumen.

Megan McArdle has an column (hat tip to Glenn Reynolds) entitled Fixing the Mandate from Hell. In it she refers to a column by Ezra Klein that brought me us short.  I run a small business and one thing Ezra Klein, the Wunderkind at the Washington Post, wrote  made me go "whoa."

Ezra Klein is a very good example of someone who has never been in business and who makes colossal analytical errors as a result. For example this comment is, frankly, amazing if you think about it:

"In Massachusetts, the employer mandate has been a success with a piddling $295 penalty."

I have no idea what that means because Klein doesn't bother to define "success." But from an economic perspective the comment is nonsense. The cost of insuring an employee is somewhere in the $10,000 per year range (often more), give or take a few thousand. Apparently Klein believes that a businessman would try to avoid a $295 penalty by shelling out $10,000. That's stupidity on steroids.

Let me tell you why employers, especially small businesspeople, will offer health insurance. They offer it to their employees so that they can cover themselves and their families using the business to pick up the bill. They are required to offer the same benefit to all full time employees if they offer it to themselves.

There can be other reasons, such as wishing to attract the right kind of employees who expect health insurance benefits, or even just being kind. But the idea that anyone with a brain would spend $10,000 to save $295 is one of those really foolish ideas that only people like Klein would write, figuring that few people would actually stop and think ... "What the hell?"

 

The cost of health insurance also explains why employers who don't provide company paid health insurance will go to great lengths to avoid it.  If you run a small shop, work there yourself, and have just a few employees you may want to give them the benefit of health insurance while covering yourself .  As the number of  employees grows the cost of insurance grows astronomically, often rivaling the cost of the pay for lower wage employees.  At that point, simple math points to buying your own insurance with after-tax dollars and not offering your employees health insurance.  

 

The ObamaCare penalty for failure to provide health insurance is very low.  There is no financial incentive to provide health insurance and every incentive to stop providing it.   As Nancy Pelosi said, now that they've passed the bill we're finding out what's in it.  For many employees, it spells the end of company paid health care.

It has taken the American military longer to bring Major Hasan to trial than it took to defeat Imperial Japan. I don't think this military and this government is going to defeat the Islam that is trying to defeat us. If you notice, it is America that is in retreat despite the attacks by drones, weapons somewhat reminiscent of the "buzz bombs" and V-1 rockets that the Nazi's sent to England in the last days of that war.

But back to the Alice in Wonderland trial of Major Hasan, in which the defendant is trying to get convicted while the court that's trying him is working hard to acquit, the Obama administrationis calling it "workplace violence" and the MSM swears they don't know if he's guilty even after he admits it.

Major Hasan is a Virginia-born army psychiatrist and a recipient of the Pentagon’s Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, which seems fair enough, since he certainly served in it, albeit for the other side. Most Americans think he’s nuts. He thinks Americans are nuts. It’s a closer call than you’d think. In the immediate aftermath of his attack, the U.S. media, following their iron-clad rule that “Allahu akbar” is Arabic for “Nothing to see here,” did their best to pass off Major Hasan as the first known victim of pre-Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. “It comes at a time when the stress of combat has affected so many soldiers,” fretted Andrew Bast in a report the now defunct Newsweek headlined, “A Symptom of a Military on the Brink.”

Major Hasan has never been in combat. He is not, in fact, a soldier. He is a shrink. The soldiers in this story are the victims, some 45 of them. And the only reason a doctor can gun down nearly four dozen trained warriors (he was eventually interrupted by a civilian police officer, Sergeant Kimberly Munley, with a 9mm Beretta) is that soldiers on base are forbidden from carrying weapons. That’s to say, under a 1993 directive a U.S. military base is effectively a gun-free zone, just like a Connecticut grade school. ...

Major Hasan says he’s a soldier for the Taliban. Maybe if the Pentagon were to reclassify the entire Afghan theater as an unusually prolonged outburst of “workplace violence,” we wouldn’t have to worry about obsolescent concepts such as “victory” and “defeat.” The important thing is that the U.S. Army’s “workplace violence” is diverse. After Major Hasan’s pre-post-traumatic workplace wobbly, General George W. Casey Jr., the Army’s chief of staff, was at pains to assure us that it could have been a whole lot worse: “What happened at Fort Hood was a tragedy, but I believe it would be an even greater tragedy if our diversity becomes a casualty.” And you can’t get much more diverse than letting your military personnel pick which side of the war they want to be on.

I hate to be pessimistic and I have hope for the future, but that will require the replacement of the current regime, a re-awakening of the American people, and a change in our military leadership. We have some brave, resourceful and skilled members of the military, but wars are won by strategy, logistics and leadership and based on the best evidence the Obama administration is really not on our side.  While he has not jumped on a table yelling Allahu Akbar and begun shooting people, Barack Obama has done far more damage than Major Hasan.   While Major Hasan's hatred of Americans is clearer, I wonder what motivates the hatred Obama feels for his country?
