Rush Limbaugh is king of the court of American blowhards - his persona so blissfully cocksure that it is both politically absurd, and discernibly not human. It is comically unpossible [sic]for a man of such enormous appetites, hypocrisies, and failings to actually swallow his own moralizing, though Limbaugh does a passably good imitation of man believing his own bluster.
After that compliment, the Pilot's cracked crew - what's left of it after numerous "downsizings" to keep ahead of declining circulation - gets nasty.
Let there be no mistake, the Virginian Pilot is a lickspittle lapdog of the Left, a craven and cowardly perpetrator of lies and the father of lies.
It appears that the Virginian Pilot supports "phony soldiers" like Jesse Macbeth who accused American troops of massacring, hanging and otherwise desecrating Iraqi civilians and mosques. When Macbeth was being trotted out to "prove" to the rabidly anti-war Left (and this appears to include the editors of the Virginian Pilot) that American troops were mad baby killers, there was never a peep from the moral cretins who now sign on the lie being put out by Media Matters.
I never expect much from the Leftist Clintonista bootlicking scum who disgorge their bile in the Virginian Pilot, but this bit of vituperative commentary strikes a new low. They carry the Democrats water the same way as does a sewer.
If Democrats want to support the phony troops, it is their right to do so. But when they try to interfere with Limbaugh's livelihood, that amounts to an effort at creating a McCarthy-style blacklist.
Now let me tell you what I really think.
