The Virginian Pilot Supports "Catch and Release" for Illegal Alien Criminals.

Another misfire by the Virginian Pilot as it supports the policy of making Virginia a sanctuary state for illegal aliens who commit crimes. The cracked staff of the Pilot (bird cage liner optional) wrote:

Keep troopers focused on Virginia crimes

How do you itemize the errors and erroneous assumptions in an editorial that should have been aborted if adults were in charge at the Virginian Pilot?

The editorial was an attack on the concept of vigorous enforcement of immigration laws in Virginia.

It was not more than a year ago that a drunken illegal alien killed two Virginia Beach girls. The illegal had six previous arrests before he finally took the life of these teenageers, but because of Virginia Beach’s rules against doing anything to remove illegal immigrants from our midst if they commit crimes, this person was allowed to kill.

At first the Beach police and politicians defended their actions, with the full throated support of the Pilot’s cracked staff who roundly attacked Bill O’Reilly for pointing out what happened. To this day, the Pilot has it in for the “outsiders” like O’Reilly and Limbaugh who dare intrude into the rancid little good old boy network that runs this area. Funny, it’s the same line that segregationists used 50 years ago, blaming outside “troublemakers” for stirring up trouble.

But today we have modern day racists and Liberals, but I repeat myself, knowing what is best for us. And what’s best for us is to ignore it when illegals break the law.

They refer to detaining and deporting illegals that are caught breaking the law as “wishful thinking” and “ignoring reality.” They set up straw men arguments about sweeps of “tens of thousands of undocumented workers” (their term for illegal aliens). I know if no serious politician or policy maker who proposes that.

What we do demand is that the police determine if a person apprehended for a crime is an illegal alien. And if that is the case, he should be removed from our society. That is the first thing and the least we should expect from our government. Even if it means that the Pilot’s cost of personnel goes up.
