Coincidence? Pull the other one!
The fact is that the information war is at least as important as the war fought with bombs and bullets. Why do you think a lot of the bombs were conveniently going off close to TV cameras and photographers? The enemy has learned, from the fiasco in Viet Nam that they may not be able to beat the American military on the battlefield, but they have willing allies in the media who are willing to join them in convincing a complacent public that they can pull the plug on their foreign friends without getting themselves killed.
If you can get an entire American party to take a pass on a perjurer president and accept getting BJs in the oval office a just a perk, the question of national interest and honor never enters the consideration of the Left.
So does it surprise anyone that the House has passed a bill
...to prohibit the military from engaging in "any form of communication in support of national objectives designed to influence the opinions, emotions, attitudes or behavior of the people of the United States in order to benefit the sponsor, either directly or indirectly."
Does this bill, sponsored by Rep. Paul Hodes, D-N.H. require our soldiers to remain silent as they die? Shhhhhhush! Don't cry out in pain. You may influence the war effort.
