Christian Nationalism is a Satanic movement in which Christians love America and vote for Republicans. It is literally the evilest thing that has ever existed in this country, and the gravest danger the American church has ever faced. It is important to stop this wicked, depraved, idolatrous movement before they organize another insurrection — or worse, elect a Republican.

Origins: One day Trump had a meeting with Satan in his underground lair and concocted a diabolical plan to trick Christians into voting for him by banning abortion and helping all the people find jobs. Thus, Christian Nationalism was born, and millions of so-called Christians voted for Trump — even though he's a sinner. Despicable!

Beliefs: Christian Nationalists literally worship Trump. They think he's a god. They pray to him and stuff. At least some of them do. At least, we think. The rest worship Jesus but still voted for Trump... which is really no different than worshipping him. Shame!

How to spot a Christian Nationalist: You can always tell a Christian nationalist by their MAGA hats. If they're not wearing a MAGA hat, you'll know by when they say things like "I love America," or "Gee, I'm not a fan of what Biden's doing." Just like the Nazis.

CIA Warns Radical Extremists Currently Hold Weekly Meetings In Terror Cells Across Country

 

U.S.—The CIA has issued a terror alert warning as radical extremists are reportedly holding their weekly meetings in their underground meeting locations across the country this very moment. 

According to the government intelligence agency, the extremists gather, chant together in unison, and then hear a speaker who radicalizes them to live normal, productive lives, take responsibility for their own actions, and love one another. The bizarre cult then sprinkles water on babies (though some splinter groups dunk), and even eats flesh and drinks blood. There are also stale donuts and bad coffee.

"Despite our best efforts to dismantle these organizations, they are still meeting every Sunday," said CIA officer Grant Woodley. "This could undermine all the work we're trying to do to establish a more inclusive, woke new world order. We would just go in and take them down, but there's a loophole in the First Amendment that apparently stops us. We're working on getting that changed, though."

IRS Denies Tax Exemption to Texas Religious Group Because Prayer, Bible Reading Boost the Republican Party

 An IRS official denied tax-exempt status to a Texas group that encourages church members to pray for state and national leaders, regardless of their party affiliation, because it benefits “the private interests of the [Republican] Party.”

“You do not qualify as an organization described in IRS Section 501(c)(3). You engage in prohibited political campaign intervention,” wrote Stephen A. Martin, director of the IRS Office of Exempt Organizations Rulings and Agreements, in a May 18 letter (pdf) to Christians Engaged, the Garland, Texas-based prayer group recognized by Texas officials as tax-exempt.

According to the IRS, promoting Christian values is now Republican propaganda.

There Is No American Exception to Decadence

We shouldn’t be blithely confident of the future of our country. We have no margin for smugness. Ronald Reagan was dead right to warn us that freedom is only one generation away from extinction anywhere. There’s no American exception to that. Now our schoolchildren are learning that the US was founded to stop King George from freeing the slaves. How confident should we be of how they’ll run the place in our old age?

Yes, we ought to be angry. Not full of destructive rage, nor looking for handy scapegoats. We must avoid at all costs targeting ethnic or religious groups. Our foes are individuals, maybe gathered into conspiracies, but our issue with them isn’t their origins. It’s their free, willful decisions. We have no quarrel with the innocent, and don’t need to make (or make up) new enemies.

We must be ready to reach out and accept new allies, in fact. For decades I’ve watched in horror as my fellow Yalie Naomi Wolf promoted radical feminist policies. Now I see her awakened by the COVID dictatorship to the goodness and fragility of our Constitutional freedoms. She’s appearing on Eric Metaxas’s and Steve Bannon’s programs. I’m impressed, exalted, and humbled. I didn’t know she had it in her. Just goes to show you that God’s grace still operates. May it carry on in her heart, and millions of others’.

Till then, we need the low-burning, implacable anger that Winston Churchill carried while fighting the Nazi high-tech barbarians. The deep, metaphysical outrage that Alexander Solzhenitsyn maintained over decades toward the fanatics who wrecked his country. It’s that kind of anger, based in facts and principles, that goaded our founding fathers to finally break our ties with Britain. Because it’s built on reflection, and the love for our fellow citizens, such anger can subside when our enemies are defeated. If they show genuine repentance, it can grow into forgiveness.

But not before then. God still loves the unrepentant, but he doesn’t rush to forgive them. They must leave their various pigsties, and wend their way back to the Father’s house. And then we can embrace them.

Christians Must Care Less about Our Cultural Reputation

Our cultural reputation is not necessarily a measure of how faithfully we’re living out our calling as Christians.

If we treat it as such, we’re going to end up fixing the wrong problems.

We can destroy our Christain witness by misinterpreting our reputation.

Christians are increasingly on a crusade to save us from this reputation—not by working to correct the misunderstanding that moral disagreement equals hate, but by refusing to speak up or by changing their view to match that of society. I experience this all the time when I post articles about hot cultural topics on my Facebook author page. There are always Christians who comment that it gives others a negative impression of us when we speak out on certain subjects (even when we do so graciously), or who comment that the traditional view is wrong in the first place.

Silence or agreement may improve our cultural reputation with non-believers, but it’s fixing the wrong problem.

In our silence, we fail to be the salt and light we’re called to be.

In our agreement, we fail to be faithful to God’s Word.

In fixing our “reputation,” we break our integrity.

American Christian Bummed That Following Christ May Soon Actually Cost Him Something

 It's the Babylon Bee but it presents a compelling truth.  This has always been a Christian nation.  What happens if people who hate Christians become powerful enough to make professing Christ dangerous?

SIMI VALLEY, CA—After years of following Jesus with virtually nothing to lose and no societal pressure pushing against him, local American Christian man Jacob Mallory was disappointed to discover that following Christ may very soon actually cost him something.

As Mallory saw more and more Christians and pastors getting arrested and facing fines for the crime of holding church, and as he saw more and more legislation discriminating against Christian's long-held theological beliefs and religious practice, the man realized with horror that soon he would have to make some sacrifices to follow Jesus.

"I wish Jesus would have warned us about this in the Bible," he said somberly as he flipped through the Gospels, looking for any indication that Jesus said something about Christians having to count the cost, take up their cross, and follow Him. "I might have stopped to consider what it really means to follow Him, had I known there could be a cost. It's like, I don't know, if I were to build a tower or something. I would sit down first and make sure I had enough money to pay for it."

"This really bites, man."

"If this keeps up, I'm moving to Canada!" he threatened. Then, he checked the news. "Oh no."

God’s Chaos Candidate.

 

 A month before the 2016 U.S. election, author and “futurist” Lance Wallnau released a book entitled God’s Chaos Candidate. In this book, Wallnau went against the odds and almost every poll and pundit to correctly predict Donald Trump as the next president.

This was an unusual prediction, given that many other Republican candidates were evangelical Christians, as is Wallnau himself. Indeed, Lance Wallnau was one of only three evangelical leaders to accurately predict Trump’s victory from the moment he began his campaign.

The reason Wallnau wrote his book was because in 2015, he began hearing unusual phrases in his spirit about the upcoming election. He was at first skeptical, holding to the biblical injunction to “test the spirits to see if they are from God”. But the phrases kept coming.

“Donald Trump will be the next president.”

“Donald Trump is a wrecking-ball to the spirit of political correctness.”

“You will see Trump Derangement Syndrome in the media.”

“The next president of the United States will be an Isaiah 45 president.”

This word about Isaiah 45 was especially specific and unusual. Wallnau went to Google to check which number president Obama was: he was the 44th.

Wallnau then opened Isaiah chapter 45, and read about King Cyrus.

My brothers and sisters in Christ,

It pains me not to be able to preach at a time like this. The Gospel says one thing, and everyone else is saying partial truths, at most. George Floyd was killed by a police officer, and shouldn’t have been. He had not lived a virtuous life. He was convicted of several crimes, including armed robbery, which he seems to have committed to feed his drug habit. And he was high on drugs at the time of his arrest. But we do not kill such people. He committed sins, but we root for sinners to change their lives and convert to the Gospel. Catholics want all life protected from conception until natural death. The police officer who knelt on his neck until he died acted wrongly. I do not know what he was thinking. The charges filed against him allege dangerous negligence, but say nothing about his state of mind. He might have killed George Floyd intentionally, or not. He hasn’t told us. But he showed disregard for his life, and we cannot accept that in our law enforcement officers. It is right that he has been arrested and will be prosecuted.

In the wake of George Floyd’s death, most people in the country have framed this as an act of racism. I don’t think we know that. Many people have claimed that racism is major problem in police forces. I don’t think we know that. Police officers deal with dangerous and bad people all the time, and that often hardens them. They do this so that the rest of us can live in peace, but sometimes at a cost to their souls. Some of them certainly develop attitudes towards the people they investigate and arrest that are unjust and sinful. We should pray that never happens, but we can see how it does. Many parts of our country have been experiencing a five-year crime wave, providing some context for why the police are trained in aggressive tactics. In 2019, 150 police officers were killed in the line of duty by the violent men they were trying to arrest. That number should be zero, we can all agree. But that context does not justify being overly aggressive — their public trust requires that they exercise great restraint. Criminals have human dignity, too. That’s why we Catholics are asked to work to abolish the death penalty in this country.

Today tensions are high, with charges of racism flying over social media, and countercharges of agreeing with domestic terrorists flying back. People are unfriending and cancelling each other. I hate this. Racism is a sin, as the Catechism says (#1937). So is rash judgment (#2478). Solidarity with our fellow human beings is “a direct demand of human and Christian brotherhood… sealed by the sacrifice of redemption offered by Jesus Christ on the altar of the Cross to his heavenly Father, on behalf of sinful humanity.” (#1939). Our solidarity with one another is deeply frayed now. Everything we say (or don’t say) is treated with suspicion, rather than charity. I hate this too. I’ve talked to multiple people in the Boston area who want the protests here to stop because they are afraid of more riots and looting. I’ve talked to others who want everyone to join the protests, but are uneasy about having police present. One group says that, of course racism is bad, but the riots are really bad — 18 people have been killed, including one police officer. Others say racism is what’s really bad — look at all the victims of police aggression — and to bring up the riots is to distract from the good the protests are trying to achieve. Still others are upset that all this talk about racism has pushed violence against women, institutionalized sexism, and other types of injustice out of the national consciousness. Everyone’s mind is made up, everyone’s angry with each other — even though everyone says they’re opposed to injustices and sins. In a different moment, people strongly opposed to public violence, racism, and sexism would admire each other, despite their different emphases.

Cardinal Sean has released two statements, one a week ago and one on Friday. I wrote something that, were we able to celebrate Mass together, might have been my homily for this week, a week which saw the feast of the Ugandan martyrs bookended by the Solemnities of Pentecost and The Holy Trinity. Members of the TCC have decided to append the Chaplet of Divine Mercy to the weekly Zoom rosary on Fridays, to pray for God’s “mercy on us and on the whole world.” The problems we face are the result of sin, as I said above. And the only way to conquer sin is with prayer, grace, and holiness, by which the Holy Spirit brings us more deeply into Christ’s New Covenant with the Father.

Blessed are the peacemakers, our Lord tells us. May we all be counted among them.

God is Just

The PCUSA has increasingly embraced the idea that God is fully love, “love is love,” and the concept of His wrath needs to be downplayed. This drags into long term theological problems that often wind up dragging proponents of this theological revision right out of Christendom. If the God of the Old Testament and the God of the New Testament are the same unchanging God, why must so much blood be spilled in the Old Testament if God is all “love is love?” Trying to resolve it all with God’s love being magnified makes no sense.

If God is love, the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross is nonsense.  God is just and Jesus atoned for our sins.
