A new Washington Post article about Nord Stream throws Ukraine overboard and absolves the United States, offering another version of reality we'll have to strain to take seriously.

The Nord Stream narrative has now gone from “No one thinks anyone but Russia did it” to “It’s a mystery!” to “There’s no evidence Russia did it” to “pro-Ukraine saboteurs may have done it” to “The U.S. and its allies have known for nearly a year Kyiv did it, but said otherwise the whole time.” What are we supposed to think next time officials make statements after a disaster? Are we supposed to forget all this background?

Are they trying to end the credibility of all new organs?  If so, they are succeeding spectacularly.

That may be the best summary of the findings of special prosecutor John Durham in his 305-page report issued yesterday. 

Not only did the impossible happen, but they all did it: the Clinton campaign, the FBI, and the media. 

In hindsight, it would appear impossible.

A political campaign hatches a plot to create a false claim of collusion between the Trump campaign and the Russian government.

Making this even more implausible is that the CIA and FBI know about the plot.

There Is No Hope for the Regime Media

 Krakauer worries that our democracy (okay, our constitutional republic) is in danger without journalists to keep those in power honest, but here’s a news flash. We have not had that for decades. Moreover, the journalists themselves have affirmatively endangered our democracy with their lies, falsehoods, and stubborn failure to cover stories that will embarrass their pals and offend their dwindling readership. Have we seen a hard-hitting story on the manifestly political targeting of Donald Trump by the NYC DA, or an explanation about how utterly ridiculous the legal theory against him is? How about some hard-hitting stuff on Ukrainian corruption and the Ukrainian army's problems? Remember anything about big liberal banks embracing ESG and DEI instead of, you know, competent banking? No. So the NYT/WaPo readership will be shocked when the charges against Trump get tossed and when the Ukrainian army collapses in the face of a coming offensive, just like they were surprised that Silicon Valley Bank and Signature Bank went nipples-north.

The media sucks. It is comprised of a few mostly dull people who have little life experience not involving daddy’s money or a keyboard choosing and writing stories based entirely on received woke wisdom. Expecting it to change is like expecting the sun to pop up in the west. It can’t. It won’t.

What is the pattern? It holds that regardless of the year or the circumstance, Republicans fall into two camps: The Reasonables vs. The Far Right Wing Nuts and Crazies. In the current fight to be the next Republican Speaker of the House, like clockwork the media pattern has kicked in. House Republican Leader McCarthy is The Reasonable guy, his opponents The Far Right Wing Nuts and Crazies.

We've now gotten to the point where reports by the Corporate Media are suspect and probably more false than true.  They are very often propaganda designed to smear Republicans.

In some cases hoaxes mean the violence never happened (Smollet), in others there was violence but the motive was not as portrayed in the media, such as mentally incompetent delusional Jared Loughner’s shooting of Gabby Giffords (which had nothing to do with Sarah Palin’s electoral map, contrary to media claims).

Michael Brown was shot and killed, but not while his hands were up while pleading “don’t shoot” (Brown was shot because he punched a policeman and tried to take his service weapon). Trayvon Martin was not shot because he was wearing a hoodie (NBC News doctored the 911 call to make it appear Martin was targeted because of his race. Martin was shot while beating George Zimmerman Mixed Martial Arts style in what the jury found to be legal self defense). Those cases altered the trajectory of this nation’s politics based on media malpractice and malfeasance all tainted by politics.

Let's not forget the George Floyd hoax - the one where a small-time Black criminal - having swallowed a lethal dose of illicit drugs - was restrained by a white cop and died.  Global riots followed stoked by Black Lives Matter fraudsters.  Cities across the country burned and dozens of people were killed, as the press and the rest of the Democrats in the country cheered them on.

The ‘cabal’ that bragged of foisting Joe Biden on us must answer for his failed presidency

 Normally when you get a bad president, voters are to blame. They decided what they wanted and, in H.L. Mencken’s famous phrase, deserve to get it good and hard. But in saddling America with the Biden administration, the voters got more than a nudge.

As Time magazine reported shortly after the 2020 election, a “cabal” — Time’s word — of “left-wing activists and business titans” worked to get rid of Trump. It pushed mail-in voting. It moved to block election fraud suits brought by Trump and supporters. It employed social media censorship to mute pro-Trump arguments and amplify anti-Trump arguments. It sponsored protests.

Time calls this a “conspiracy to save the election,” but in truth it was a conspiracy to save the election for the Democrats. The consequences in terms of lost faith in democracy have been severe, but the worst effect is that the winning ticket was never seriously vetted by the media or the campaign process. As a result, we have a president whose mental capacity is openly doubted by much of the nation.

In a normal campaign, Biden’s weaknesses would have been obvious. Normal candidates endure grueling schedules with frequent speaking events that mercilessly reveal any shortages of energy or intellect. It’s now clear that had Biden had to do that, a majority of voters would have seen him as unfit.

But the “cabal” ensured that the press didn’t pressure him to leave his basement. Questions about his abilities were silenced. And the press also helped by drumming up and deploying COVID hysteria against Trump, sometimes openly hoping that it would harm him, other times deploying the hysteria to support mail-in ballots and other questionable practices.

Time’s piece says, “It sounds like a paranoid fever dream — a well-funded cabal of powerful people, ranging across industries and ideologies, working together behind the scenes to influence perceptions, change rules and laws, steer media coverage and control the flow of information.”

But that’s OK because, we’re told, “They were not rigging the election; they were fortifying it.”

Were they? Were they really?

America now faces a dangerous time, internationally, domestically and economically, with obviously inadequate leadership at the top. If disaster ensues, the people who openly bragged about their efforts to install the Biden administration may wish they had kept quiet.

Media learning that bias doesn't sell

 Even CNN is toning down its more blatant bias.  Reporting and opinion are blended in the media.

Actually, much of the problem is that there is remarkably little objective news reported by anyone.

For example, take Trump’s claims of election fraud.

Now, please find me a mainstream media source that doesn’t refer to his comments as lies. That’s a problem for me because I know there is election fraud in every state in the nation. What we disagree about is the scale.

Plus, saying it’s a lie not just places a value judgment, but it dismisses the argument as well.

It calls Trump himself a liar, often without any evidence, and tells you that anything you see elsewhere suggesting there were problems with the 2020 election is also a lie.

And it’s not necessary. You can simply refer to them as “Trump’s claims” or something like that and leave it there.

But they don’t.

People are getting sick of it and now the news agencies are starting to recognize that no, in fact, people don’t want to be told what to think. Instead, they want to hear the facts and be permitted to make up their minds themselves.

Never let the media forget their worship of this idiot, which included suggesting Avenatti might make a good future president. Oh yes, and breathless pillow talk about him as “the savior of the Republic.” Bring Avenatti up to Ronan Farrow, the crooked opposition researcher who in May of 2018 dined out with Michael Avenatti. Remind CNN, NBC, ABC, the Washington Post and New York Times that they made this man their hero. Forget Walter Cronkite, Avenatti should be their icon.

In fall 2018, Avenatti and the media tried to destroy Brett Kavanaugh, a high school friend of mine. They used opposition research, extortion threats and an attempted honey trap. A woman named Christine Blasey Ford accused Brett of sexually assaulting her in 1982 when we were all in high school. Ford claimed that I was in the room when it happened.

This Guy Is Senile and Can the Media Stop Pretending He’s Not?

 

Look, Biden is senile. He was always stupid, and always stubbornly attached to whatever dumb ideas formed in the spongy mass of cells that passes for his brain, but now it’s perfectly clear that this guy is riding the Acela Express to Dementiaville. And the media, sitting front row on what could be the biggest story in political history, just sort of pretends that the guy who is one forgotten Depends short of wetting himself on national television is A-OK.

But the job of the licensed, registered regime media is not to break stories, no matter how big. It’s to run interference for its masters. In the run up to the last election, our courageous reporters studiously ignored the computer files and videos showing *’s son Hoover getting all Pablo Escobar with his hookers, as well as being bought off by Ukrainians, Chi Coms, and anyone else who waved a dollar at him. That was Russian disinformation, we were informed by our glorious media. So, is Putin also behind Biden wandering off to chase squirrels in the Rose Garden?

Just listen to the guy on the rare occasions they pump him up with drugs and let him talk. His Afghanistan victory lap – though it was the eager liberal blue checks that did the lapping – was a bizarre Escher monologue: “Our intel people did a great job but no one saw this coming and it was the greatest evacuation ever and also it was all Trump’s fault.”

Our media is garbage. This staggering shell of an always mediocre man is manifestly unfit, physically and mentally (not to mention in terms of basic competence) to be president. And the brave firefighting truth-tellers of the media say nothing, which says all we need to know about them.

We’ve got to talk about the Rolling Stone invermectin article. Turns out the story about rural hospitals so flooded with ODs that they couldn’t treat other patients was made up, entirely invented.

A lot of people took the bait, and I’ve got the screenshots.⤵️ 

First, for context, here’s the original piece from Rolling Stone, and the Hospital stating that the story is BS and the person quotes has not worked at that hospital in months.

There are a couple of dead give-aways that make the story suspect at the very beginning

• The picture of people lined up shows them dressed for cold weather. It's hotter than hell there right now.
• This s small-town America. People rarely get shot, and certainly not in numbers that they crowd emergency rooms. This is not Chicago or New York.

The hospital is quoted as saying the story was BS and that the one (one!) person the story quotes doesn’t work at that hospital anymore (and hasn’t in months).
