Politics of Attributing Extreme Events and Disasters to Climate Change

This is a great scientific analysis of the fraud that "climate change" prophesies are perpetrating on the world.  It hinders the ability of people to actually ameliorate the problems that vulnerabilities, weather and bad policies have caused.

Excerpt:

Failing to capture the place-based social causes of observed or projected damage, the climate-centric narrative is not likely to resonate with lived realities. It may ring especially false to those who live displacement or who know about socio-economic marginalization and absent or weakly enforced social and legal protections (Ribot et al., 2020). Subject to violence and oppression and exploitation, few Honduran and other Latin American migrants are traveling north merely to escape climate change (Semple, 2019; see also Lustgarten, 2020; Rigaud et al., 2018). In 1000 household surveys and 100 migrant interviews, almost no Sahelian crossing the Sahara toward Europe mentions that they are fleeing drought. Rather, they explain their plight in terms of low prices for their crops, inadequate access to markets, and the lack of social services (Ribot et al., 2020). Similarly, people who fled an extremely violent Syria also do not think they were pushed by climate change (Fröhlich, 2016; Selby et al., 2017). In such cases, people are not likely to feel climate change is an important factor—for it is much less important than the precarity (a la Bourdieu 1997) that they must contend with day to day. Thus, attribution to climate or climate change may read false to those affected when they view their precarity as a result of their local and broader political–economic situation. It is, of course, good scientific practice to provide the most accurate causal attribution of climate events—identifying as far as possible their anthropogenic component. Yet the role, meaning, and effect of this information are contingent on local politics that shape the conditions of security and vulnerability that the climate event finds in place.

2020 man was already on his way to becoming a post-social animal

Way back at the turn of the century, the manufacturing got shipped to China and low-paid service jobs became the norm for increasing numbers of Americans. If that's the job, it turns out that the state doesn't have to give you all that much dough for you to figure you'd rather sit at home and text and watch Netflix. In many parts of the west, the WuFlu quickly became a pilot program for Universal Basic Income.

The last two years have sharpened the contrasts: If you're a government worker, you didn't lose a dime. If you're a hairdresser or a gym-owner, your business exists at the whim of government, and the state imposes conditions that change from week to week and remove or restore its economic viability according to whether or not one unfortunate individual has died "with" this month's variant. Meanwhile, if you're one of those people who thought the only problem with Amazon was that its hammerlock on global market share was not yet total, the Covid era has been a colossal boon to Jeff Bezos and a few other woke billionaires.

Virginian Pilot Climate Ghouls Forget About the Victims.

Mayfield KY: Decimated By Tornado, Piled On By
Climate Change Jerks

As I read the headline above, I went back a few minutes in time to recall this front-page story in the
Virginian Pilot

What's the Science Behind Storms

The purpose was to strongly suggest, without any proof, that "climate change" was the cause of the tornado that killed a large number of people in Mayfield, Kentucky.  The actual story of the devastation - that may have killed as many as 100 people -  was downgraded to page.6.

For the Left, politics is their religion — their One True Faith. Everything, without exception, must be politicized. Tornadoes? Hurricanes? Volcanic eruptions? Rains of frogs? They’ll find a way. It’s what they do.

I can only imagine what Leftist journalists would have said about the explosion of Krakatoa in 1883. Let’s try it on: First: if conservatives were dominant:

“Heartless Far-Right Administration Refuses Blame For Massive Eruption”

“Krakatoa Explodes: Poor and Homeless Worst Affected”

Now, if left-liberals were in command:

“President Warns More Eruptions Coming If Climate Change Not Fought”

“Explosion Would Have Been Worse Except For Infrastructure Bill”

Give it a spin on your carousel!

Fox Christmas tree arson suspect released without bail

The suspect was hit with a slew of misdemeanor charges — including arson, criminal mischief, reckless endangerment and criminal trespass — for allegedly setting ablaze the 50-foot-tall artificial tree with a piece of cardboard that was on fire.

Assistant District Attorney Matthew Bayley said at the arraignment that Tamanaha was “not charged with a bail-eligible offense.”

Judge Marisol Martinez Alonso granted Tamanaha a supervised release at the request of prosecutors.

This is Biden's America.  This is the Democrat Party's idea of justice.  He was out before the police report was completed.

Bros., Lecce: We Eat at The Worst Michelin Starred Restaurant, Ever

Rand holding up one of the courses – a paper-thin fish cracker – in its entirety.

The funniest restaurant review I have ever read..

What followed was a 27-course meal (note that “course” and “meal” and “27” are being used liberally here) which spanned 4.5 hours and made me feel like I was a character in a Dickensian novel. Because – I cannot impart this enough – there was nothing even close to an actual meal served. Some “courses” were slivers of edible paper. Some shots were glasses of vinegar. Everything tasted like fish, even the non-fish courses. And nearly everything, including these noodles, which was by far the most substantial dish we had, was served cold.

The ‘cabal’ that bragged of foisting Joe Biden on us must answer for his failed presidency

It’s time to admit it. Less than a year in, Joe Biden’s is a failed presidency. Biden knows it, the press knows it, and voters know it. And our foreign adversaries like China and Russia know it.

It’s also time to look at the “cabal” of business, labor and political leaders who foisted the Biden administration on us. That won’t be hard, as they were openly bragging about their efforts less than a year ago.

The failure is obvious. The administration is so desperate, it’s begging the press for better coverage. (What, they’re supposed to lie about gas and food prices? I guess so.) The Chinese and Russians are moving aggressively against the United States and its allies, on the ground, on the seas and even in outer space, because they don’t fear repercussions from a tired, incoherent president who presides over an administration of woke incompetents and Obama retreads.

Read the whole thing.  It's time to expose the cabal and drive them out of public life and out of our elections.

Time’s piece says, “It sounds like a paranoid fever dream — a well-funded cabal of powerful people, ranging across industries and ideologies, working together behind the scenes to influence perceptions, change rules and laws, steer media coverage and control the flow of information.”

But that’s OK because, we’re told, “They were not rigging the election; they were fortifying it.”

Were they? Were they really?

America now faces a dangerous time, internationally, domestically and economically, with obviously inadequate leadership at the top. If disaster ensues, the people who openly bragged about their efforts to install the Biden administration may wish they had kept quiet.

‘Joey, baby’: Biden shares false Amtrak tale for 6th time this year

President Biden clearly thinks this one never gets old — if only it were true.

Biden on Wednesday repeated for the sixth time this year what he called a “true story” about an encounter with an Amtrak conductor named Angelo Negri — despite the story being declared “false” by fact-checkers.

Biden said it happened when he visited his sick mother, who died in January 2010, less than one year after he became vice president. On at least three other occasions, Biden said it happened much later in his second term.

At this point, he probably believes it.

The New York Post ‘happily’ offers some positive headlines for President Biden

Today’s blacklisted American: Colorado Democrats move to blacklist all mascots and imagery honoring the American Indian

Blacklists are back and the Democrats have got ’em: After the Democrats controlling the state government in Colorado passed a bill banning the use of any mascot or imagery that makes any reference to any American Indian tribe or cultural icon, a Native American group immediately filed suit, claiming that the policy essentially discriminates against American Indians, banning them from the public sector in all ways.

This is not a joke.  Read the whole thing.

CNN is a 'Predator Protecting Machine'

The man who sued CNN anchor Don Lemon for allegedly sexually assaulting him said that the network is "a predator protecting machine" but noted that he is glad to see accountability in the termination of Chris Cuomo.

Dustin Hice, who filed a lawsuit against Lemon more than two years ago, accused the CNN host of sexually charged assault and battery at a New York bar during the summer of 2018. The case is expected to go to court early next year. Cuomo's firing came on Saturday after CNN was made aware of a sexual misconduct allegation made against the "Cuomo Primetime" host.

"They’re a network rife with predators and perverts," Hice told Fox News Digital. "Lemon will have to testify under oath in the near future, but it’s good to see that there’s finally some accountability happening." ...

"This is who they are. They’re a predator-protecting machine, they slander and smear victims with impunity," Hice said.

Hice, who said he refused multiple settlement offers from CNN, believes the network is doing whatever it takes to protect Lemon from liability.

"They’ve tried to grind me down, they’ve attempted to intimidate witnesses in my case, they’ve released confidential information about me in attempt to doxx me. They are complicit. This is who they are," Hice said.

Is the Rift Between the Public and the C-Suites Permanent?

Yes.

When I was a boy growing up on the shores of Lake Michigan, the "wealthy" people in our town were close to the people who worked for them and the people who bought their products.  They drove Pontiacs and Buicks, not Cadillacs or Rolls Royces.  They contributed to local charities and mentored young people from their communities.

That was in a universe far, far away, and long, long ago.

The Covid epidemic is an epidemic of fear crated by governments to subjugate their people

Let’s say you’re one of those insane people who dismissed the low numbers of death/serious illness aboard the Diamond Princess because apparently people on cruise ships have “top quality medical care” (Coo-ey! Is the sky made of candy floss in your world?) in what world — even a candy floss sky one — did it make sense to close local grocery stores but keep walmart open? In what world did it make sense to direct flow in stores so everyone crammed in through the same door, and everyone walked the same path (thereby a crowded/grimy, etc. path)?  In what world did reducing hours of stores make sense? In what world did it make sense to wear a mask to your table then remove it to eat? (Are you less contagious when sitting?) In what world did curfews make sense? In what world did mask mandates outside in botanic gardens and zoos make sense? In what world did it make sense that you were hectored for getting out and driving around, while remaining your car?

In what world did the government stomp on every — no matter how crackpot or inocuous — rumored treatment? In what world, despite all studies to the contrary, do two layers of thin fabric stave off viral infection? In what world are doctors and nurses laid off by the thousands during a supposed pandemic? And finally in what world does it make any sense that a completely ineffective — if not (the numbers are not trustworthy in the sense that we can’t trust anything from collection to reporting, but in the UK there are indications that way) counterproductive — vaccine is being forced on the population by government mandate?

Your government is trying to terrorize you. In face, governments all over the world are trying to terrorize their subjects.  As the “blue model” (Socialist/Marxist-lite model of governance) founders on its internal contradictions and the demise of mass media allows us all to see it, the overreaching, engorged governments and their minions are trying to subdue those they consider their subjects by any means necessary.

COVID-19 a Pandemic of Fear ‘Manufactured’ by Authorities: Yale Epidemiologist

The COVID-19 pandemic has been one of fear, manufactured by individuals who were in the nominal positions of authority as the virus began to spread across the globe last year, according to Yale epidemiologist Dr. Harvey Risch.

In an appearance on Epoch TV’s “American Thought Leaders” program, Risch, an epidemiology professor at the Yale School of Public Health and Yale School of Medicine’s Department of Epidemiology and Public Health, argued that by and large, what has characterized the entire CCP (Chinese Communist Party) virus pandemic has been a “degree of fear and people’s response to the fear.”

“Overall, I’d say that we’ve had a pandemic of fear. And fear has affected almost everybody, whereas the infection has affected relatively few,” said Risch.

“By and large, it’s been a very selected pandemic, and predictable. It was very distinguished between young versus old, healthy versus chronic disease people. So we quickly learned who was at risk for the pandemic and who wasn’t.

“However, the fear was manufactured for everybody. And that’s what’s characterized the whole pandemic is that degree of fear and people’s response to the fear.”

Waukesha Massacre Suspect Has The Sads

The Waukesha massacre suspect, Darrell Brooks has the sads. A Fox News Digital team was able to interview him yesterday. Come to find out, Brooks feels bad.

Does he feel bad for the victims he killed? Does he feel bad for the injured who are trying to recover from the attack? Not one bit.

The suspect who allegedly drove through a Wisconsin Christmas parade and killed six people said that he feels “demonized” during his first comments since the deadly event.

Darrell Brooks Jr., 39, spoke to Fox News Digital during a video visit in Waukesha County Jail on Wednesday.

“I just feel like I’m being monster-demonized,” Brooks said.

Oh, well. That’s just too damned bad. Let me get out the tiny violins for you. This is a guy who has a criminal record that is over FIFTY pages long. But we are supposed to feel bad for him because people are rightly angry about his actions? We are supposed to feel bad for him because his mom hasn’t come to visit him in jail? I. Don’t. Think. So.

He should be thrilled that his Mom finally issued a statement. Said statement, IMO, is going to lay the groundwork for claiming he’s mentally ill.

Darrell did not come from a bad family like many people have said. He came from a loving christian family and is the grandson of ministers. Darrell has suffered from mental health issues since he was very young. In those years he received counseling and was on medication. When he became an adult a decision was made that he no longer suffered from a mental illness. That decision left him with no insurance or financial means to pay for medication and when determind necessary counseling. Mental illness is not cheap to treat but what’s more important dollars spent on treatment and recouses or lives lost.

~Snip

We are not making excuses but we believe what has happened is because he was not given the help and resources he needed. Institutions that are equipped and have trained staff is what was needed as well as resources in the communities where people who suffer with mental illness live.

Jail is not the answer, because they get released back in society sicker than what they were when they entered . We all see what a tragedy that can turn out to be.

Boy howdy. That statement sure does hit all the leftist talking points doesn’t it? Here’s the deal about this. Darrell Brooks is not a good guy. He has a record miles long, and a history of leftist/racist views.

Virginian Pilot prints claim that Covid mutates because of inequity without a shred of evidence

Hoarding vaccines aided environment for virus to mutate

BY MARIA CHENG AND LORI HINNANT ASSOCIATED PRESS

LONDON — The emergence of the new omicron variant and the world’s desperate attempts to keep it at bay are reminders of what scientists have warned for months: The coronavirus will thrive as long as vast parts of the world lack vaccines.

The hoarding of limited COVID-19 shots by rich countries — creating virtual vaccine deserts in many poorer ones — doesn’t just mean risk for the parts of the world seeing shortages; it threatens the entire globe.

That’s because the more the disease spreads among unvaccinated populations, the more possibilities it has to mutate and potentially become more dangerous, prolonging the pandemic for everyone.

“The virus is a ruthless opportunist, and the inequity that has characterized the global response has now come home to roost,” said Dr. Richard Hatchett, CEO of CEPI, one of the groups behind the U.N.-backed COVAX shot-sharing initiative.

This is the sort of evidence-free claim that, if repeated enough, becomes the BIG LIE.  Recall that the Corporate Press also said that the virus could NOT have come from the Wuhan virus lab, that Fauci told the truth that he didn't provide money for gain-of-function research at Wuhan, the Jussie Smollett was attacked by Trump supporters in Chicago, and the Trump colluded with Putin to steal the 2016 election.

My home-town newspaper is part of the BIG LIE conspiracy.
