Joe The Plumber

The knives are out for Joe the Plumber. The ObamaMedia are claiming he's not really a plumber, that he's not paying his taxes and that he's a "right wing nut."

Here's a roundup of some of the stories, both pro and con.

My local bird cage liner the Virginian Pilot (Pravda was a beacon of journalistic truth and technical prowess compared with the Virginian Pilot) does a cut and paste from the ObamaAP:
Who is Joe the Plumber? He's Joe Wurzelbacher of Ohio.

From ABC News: Joe the Plumber: Obama Tax Plan 'Infuriates Me'

Joe Biden vs. Joe the Plumber:

Question: name the plumbers, cops, teachers in your neighborhood, Joe.

From The Political Coffee House:
Joe Biden lives in a 6,800 square foot home worth $1,383,599. I don't know any cops that can afford to live in a neighborhood with houses that cost that much. The only plumbers that can afford a home that expensive have to be working pretty hard and have quite a few crews of plumbers on the payroll. My point being that there are probably no plumbers or cops in Joe Biden's neighborhood.

Joe Biden's lakefront villa.

Biden does it again: Joe Biden Can't Count

The media’s obsession with the destruction of Joe the Plumber is fodder for some humor at Slate:

What else is "Joe the Plumber" hiding from the American people?
...
A series of receipts uncovered today reveal that Samuel Joseph Wurzelbacher launched his career in the home of former Weather Underground leader William Ayers. In 1995, Ayers contacted Wurzelbacher, then still an apprentice plumber, to fix a leaky faucet in his Hyde Park home. After earning high marks from the one-time domestic terrorist, "Joe the Plumber" built a thriving practice with Ayers' referrals to the Trinity United Church of Christ and the Chicago chapter of al-Qaida.

From College News we learn:

“Joe The Plumber” not actually a plumber

Contrary to media narrative, Joseph Wurzelbacher is not registered or licensed as a plumber in home state.

Actually, that bit of "news" was all over the media. In fact the media narrative was overwhelmingly negative. The media does not care for people who work with their hands, unless their hands are employed hitting a keyboard.

The Huffington Post refers to Joe the Plumber as
“the apocryphal demographic,”
which may be a surprise to Joe who seems real enough.

Rush Limbaugh
loves Joe the Plumber:
All of us who pay taxes, Obama looks at us as mini-piggy banks for strangers. If we make a certain amount of money we're either going to put money in the piggy bank down the street or some guy will drop a nickel in ours. That's Obama's economic plan, to equalize incomes, pure and simple. So instead of taking care of our own families and our own businesses, the Obama plan has us making deposits in other people's bank accounts, with him as the banker. You're upset about what's happening on Wall Street, you're upset with all these banks and so forth, imagine Obama is a banker and he's going to force you to make deposits just like the Clinton administration forced banks to make loans to people who couldn't pay them back. Obama is going to force you to put money into his bank, and then he's going to give it away to people who he thinks need it more than you do.

This is not America. It puts me in a good mood again because Obama's gone too far. His butt-kissing media friends have gone too far. This elitist BS might just blow up in their collective smug faces. I think Joe the Plumber and Joe Six-Pack are going to shove their elitism and socialism right down their throats.

Perhaps Joe has something to do with this Drudge headline:
GALLUP SHOCK: 49 OBAMA, 47 MCCAIN WITH LIKELY VOTERS
