I’ll tell you some of the things that the 99% are getting. A comfortable suburban existence, a car, a digital camera, an internet connection, TV, enough food to make them fat, cigarettes, liquor, and enough free time to whine about all of this on the internet.
I mean, seriously guys, that’s a pretty remarkable definition of nothing.

Read Alinsky's 'Rules For Radicals' and I suspect you will cease to be baffled - at least as it relates to tactics. With respect to policy ideas - well, you might as well try to run the country with the Manson Family Manifesto. iow Lunacy is the order of the Leftist mob. So, that's what it is - an unhinged mob with a battle plan. Alinsky's battle plan. Any further attempt at deeper understanding may lead to brain damage.

Alinsky's rules may be employed by the instigators of this movement, but the dupes who post these stupid signs and camp out in concrete jungles are simply deluded people who have been told all their lives that they are owed something. They are someone's precious snowflakes who have never been forced to grow up.
Correct analysis of the character of the average camper - which makes them perfect fodder to be manipulated by Alinksyites. Watch how fast they melt back into the oblivion they deserve (the dupes, that is) when the Alinksyite in the WH is deposed.
