WHY is the world silent while Christians are being slaughtered in the Middle East and Africa? In Europe and in the United States, we have witnessed demonstrations over the tragic deaths of Palestinians who have been used as human shields by Hamas, the terrorist organization that controls Gaza. The United Nations has held inquiries and focuses its anger on Israel for defending itself against that same terrorist organization. I recently wrote about this, prompted by an essay by Bud Norman. I ended with the following comment:
The secular Left really doesn't have a problem with the destruction of Christianity. They may be a little squeamish about the graphic way and enthusiastic way it’s being done by the followers of the Prophet. Just as they would prefer not to see their meat slaughtered, but if you avert your eyes you can approve of the result. I have seen more than one comment on the Internet when this subject is brought up saying that the problem is not Islam but religion, as if Presbyterians represent a mortal danger to Americans. A large part of the Left hates Christians because Christianity is a living rebuke to their faith in themselves.
