4 Bill Shine Fired Me, Now I’m Ready to Defend Him

Bill Shine was one of the people who forced me out of my job of 20 years at Fox News.

Despite that, I’m convinced that he was not an enabler of sexual harassment, but a victim.

Read the whole thing and then think about this:

It’s almost as though the Murdochs don’t mind the bad press, which just may just be the strategy. If you want to “remake” and soften a company that is wildly profitable and popular, it would be unwise to change its leadership without good reason.

Instead, it would be much smarter to let these sexual harassment charges boil and to be the hero who finally “fixed” things over there. You didn’t ruin Fox News … you saved it.

It’s nasty business.

Fox News Radio correspondent confronts Gateway Pundit reporter in White House briefing room

As reporters were getting settled ahead of Friday’s briefing, the Fox correspondent Jon Decker pointed out that a reporter from Gateway Pundit, Lucian Wintrich, was in the room and that they “hate blacks, Jews, Hispanics,” according to BuzzFeed White House correspondent Adrian Carrasquillo, who tweeted about the incident.

Decker also sent an email to the entire White House reporter email listserv, noting that the White House "has admitted Gateway Pundit into today's White House Press Briefing."

While some in the White House briefing room say the White House should be open to any and all outlets, others have expressed concern with certain outlets being legitimized via their White House credentials.

Fox News confirmed Decker was reacting to previous tweets Wintrich had posted. According to a White House Correspondent in the room, several reporters shook Decker’s hands as he walked back to the Fox News radio booth.

When the entire media - news and infotainment - is guilty of false "reporting," selective editing, spiking stories because they don't advance the narrative, alternative media spring up. 

The establishment fights back, not by getting better, but by demonizing the interlopers. 

The attempt to monopolize the views that the American people get has failed. The old media has lost its power to create the national mood. That's why Hillary lost despite the backing of the establishment press. Her entire campaign was based on demonizing Trump and the press was her megaphone. They failed. 

Using muscle in the White House Press Room isn’t going to fix the problem. It’s the modern version of book burning. As the well-known hero of Progressives, Chairman Mao, once said “let a thousand flowers bloom.” 

Gateway Pundit has a long way to go before it has printed as many lies as the NY Times. They still haven’t returned the Pulitzer Prize for Walter Durante’s whitewashing Stalin’s. And don’t get me started on the rest of the legacy media.

Biased polls or biased reports?

Donald Trump continues to lead among Republicans, currently with 32% of Republican support (up from 30% last week).

Ben Carson remains in 2nd at 12% among Republicans. Carson has lost some ground in the latest poll.
Jeb Bush remains in 3rd with 10%.
Carly Fiorina has held her gains from after the Republican debate, currently at 8% among Republicans, but has made no more progress.

Barack Hussein Obama was ranting about Fox News the other day.

“If you’re struggling — if you’re working but don’t seem to be getting ahead, and over the last 40 years sadly, I think there’s been an effort to either make folks mad at folks at the top or to be mad at folks at the bottom, and I think the effort to suggest that the poor are sponges, leeches, don’t want to work, are lazy, are undeserving got traction. And look, it’s still being propagated. I mean, I have to say that if you watch Fox News on a regular basis, it is a constant menu. They will find folks who make me mad. I don’t know where they find them. They’re all like, ‘I don’t want to work, I just want a free Obamaphone,’ or whatever.” We mean, this is supposed to be like the greatest orator in history or whatever, but we find it unconvincing nonetheless.

It's that pesky First Amendment, but they have solved that problem in Russia, Venezuela and North Korea. Surely anything they can do Obama can do better.

Oh, and if you have a membership at a health club or send your kids to a private school, you're a bad person.

Letter to "Special Report" - Fox News with Bret Baier

I am a regular viewer of your program. In fact, I record it in case I don't get home in time to catch the beginning. I especially like the panel discussion at the end.

There is one subject that puzzles me.

It was part of today's panel discussion, but it's something that surfaces often. The issue if often framed like this: "If Congress does "X" and results in "Y" the Republicans will get blamed."

In this evening's discussion I believe that someone asserted that if negotiations with Iran don't result in an agreement, the Republicans will get blamed because of the letter they wrote to the leaders of Iran.

Given that the latest polls indicate that over half the American people do not approve of the administration's handling of ISIS or Iraq, why doesn't one of the panelists ask: "Who is this entity that will blame the Republicans ... to their detriment?" Given that one of the panelists is a member in good standing of the MSM (NPR?) I realize that may strike a little close to home, But you have a fairly articulate bunch of panelist and I would suggest that the unknown entity that blames Republicans for standing in the path of progress should be identified.

I am not persuaded that a poll of Americans - rather than members of the media - would show that a deal with Iran that allows them to continue to enrich uranium and eventually build a nuclear bomb would "blame" the Republicans. I am not persuaded that a poll of Americans - rather than the audience of NPR - would have a negative opinion of Congress if they held up funding for that part of DHS that is used to implement Obama's immigration policy.

I find it strangely telling that even Fox News personnel fall into the belief that policies that are opposed to the MSM will get a negative reaction from the American people. 

This is 2015.  Fox is the leading cable news network and Rush Limbaugh has the top radio show. The alphabet networks are losing their audience.  Newspapers are struggling to survive.   Weekly news magazines are sold for $1.  It's as if you do not believe in your own slogans that "Fair and balances" is a passing fad.  It's as if you doubt your ability to to impact the public conversation. 

That's disappointing. But keep up the good work nevertheless.

Email Eruption: Hillary Hidden Emails Multiply By Ten

A prominent hacker tells Fox News’ James Rosen that Hillary Clinton appears to have established multiple email addresses for private use.

Aides to the former secretary of state say she only used one private email while in office — hdr22@clintonemail.com. That domain name has been traced to a private Internet server in Clinton’s hometown of Chappaqua, N.Y. The server was registered in the name of Clinton’s former aide Eric Hothem a week before the Obama administration assumed office.

Rosen’s hacker source employed a tool called “The Harvester” to search a number of data sources to look for references to the domain name Clintonemail.com. The source says it appears Clinton established multiple email addresses, including hdr@clintonemail.com, hdr18@clintonemail.com, hdr19@clintonemail.com, hdr20@clintonemail.com, and hrd21@clintonemail.com.

Other email addresses include h.clinton@clintonemail.com, Hillary@clintonemail.com, contact@clintonemail.com, and mau_suit@clintonemail.com.

It’s not clear whether Clinton used any or all of these email addresses. It’s also unclear whether her aides used them.

Fox News reached out to the Clinton team for comment and has not heard back.

With more than a double-digit advantage over Muir, Special Report easily beats World News Tonight. Baier also outperforms the broadcast program CBS’ Evening News with Scott Pelley in both Atlanta and Austin in household viewers.

In cable news, Baier ranks #1 in the 6PM/ET hour, beating CNN, MSNBC, and HLN combined in both demo and total viewers. Averaging more nearly 2.5 million in total viewers, Special Reports ranks #3 with P2+ only behind primetime shows The O’Reilly Factor and The Kelly File.

Juan Williams: ObamaCare Rolled Out Failed Program To Spite Republicans

Juan Williams joined the Special Report panel today and said that the Obama administration rolled out the ObamaCare website that failed disastrously because of Republicans opposition. Juan supports going forward with an inoperable ObamaCare site because delaying it until it worked would give the GOP talking points. Put another way, Juan is OK with millions losing their insurance coverage, losing their full-time jobs, and have their financial future ruined if they get sick to make Obama look good. This is beyond the pale and shows how morally SICK Liberals are.

Mainstream baffled as French turn to far right

AFP - France's mainstream political parties were Monday scratching their heads over what to do about a surge by the Front National (FN) after a breakthrough by-election win for the far-right party.

The ruling Socialist party and the centre-right Union for a Popular Movement (UMP), the party of former president Nicolas Sarkozy, face humiliating reverses in municipal and European elections next year if the FN can sustain its current standing in the eyes of an electorate thoroughly fed-up with record unemployment, rising taxes and a perceived increase in crime and insecurity.

Like the mainstream press in the US, the French press can't figure out why the people would finally get tired of a bad economy, high unemployment, runaway government spending and a leisure underclass.  And that "far right" crap doesn't work when its candidate gets over 50% of the vote.  That looks mainstream to me.

 

It's why the press, and that includes FOX, doesn't understand what Cruz is doing.
