Regarding the plot to blow up New York's JFK airport, there's good news and bad news. The good news -- the plotters were caught. The bad news (for liberals) -- the plotters were caught. It's now five years and nine months of BusHitler's "incompetent" and "failed" 'Global Bumper Sticker On Terror' but there's still been no terrorist attack on U.S. soil -- leaving al-Qaeda and the Democrats feeling very frustrated these days.
Showing that he can be tough on terrorists, John Edwards swiftly responded to news of the plot by calling for shutting down Guantanamo. The Guantanamoron said the plot shows Bush is losing the war on bumper stickers. But in a hopeful sign, Chuck Schumer did not call for more gun control.
The plotters have names like Abdul Kadir, Kareem Ibrihim and Abdul Nur -- hmmmm, I wonder what religion they practice? Any ideas? It took the media only hours and hours after the story broke to admit (a) the 'suspects' had Muslim-sounding names and (b) the 'suspects' were Muslims. Wouldn't want to rush to conclusions. Could be those militant Presbyterians again -- you just never know.
The plotters planned to blow up the airport, kill thousands and bring down the U.S. economy -- a clear sign we should try harder to welcome these alien 'guest workers.' They were just doing the work Americans won't do. Actually, one of these lunatics happens to be a U.S. citizen -- 63-year-old Russell "Mohammed" Defreitas, who's apparently not among the "moderate" U.S. Muslims the Pew pollsters keep telling us exist. Liberals spent all last week touting the Pew poll as proving American Islam is brimming with 'moderates' because only one in four young U.S. Muslims want to murder all of us. Over 200,000 U.S. Muslims are cool with suicide bombing but liberals insist it's Wal-Mart we should get our pants soiled over.
