Conor Friedersdorf is upset that "Right Wing Terrorists" don't get tortured. I think he mistakes Tim McVeigh for a right winger. Under Friedersdorf's definition Stalin, Lenin (see 1907 Tiflis bank robbery) and the rest of the gang that brought down the Russian government would also be a "right wingers."
In the US, bombers who are not Left Wing get sent to prison or exectured.
On the other hand Bill Ayres, Bernadette Dorn, and Kathy Boudin, all unrepentant Leftist murderers or attempted murderers, are media darlings and hired by the Left wing academic ‘elite’.
