“Only dead fish go with the flow.”
That quote from Sarah Palin’s stunning July 3 statement said it all about the soon-to-be-former Governor of Alaska and 2008 Republican vice presidential nominee. In leaving the Juneau statehouse and pursuing her next steps in politics or the private sector, Palin is doing so on her terms regardless of what the pesky national press and the political “experts” think.

When I listen to the pundits on the left and on the right, I think only one thing. This is wisdom from the past, and the old politics don't hold true anymore. We live in the era of instant communication to people with short memories and regretfully not much historical knowledge or perspective. Many people today run on feeling and emotion. If you disagree tell me how Obama got elected, ACORN aside. Joe the Plumber became an instant celeb with one question of candidate Obama. The left tried to destroy him and the right made him a star. Its a different world and the rules have changed.
