Was it only 6 days ago that the Associated Press told us:DEVELOPING: Bomb threats led to evacuations on Friday at the University of Texas and North Dakota State University, authorities said.It’s unclear whether the two threats were related. An alert posted at about 10 a.m. local time at the University of Texas told people on campus to immediately evacuate all buildings and to “get as far away as possible.”Rhonda Weldon, the school’s director of communications, said the university received a call about 8:35 a.m. from a man claiming to be affiliated with Al Qaeda. The man said he'd placed bombs all over the campus that would detonate in 90 minutes.

WASHINGTON — As Americans debate whether they are better off now than they were four years ago, there is a similar question with a somewhat easier answer: Are you safer now than you were when President Obama took office?
