I’m just imagining that I am a headline writer at the Virginian Pilot, managing to classify the latest criminal act. It’s more typically “ex-navy man commits…. [fill in the crime].”
Given that Norfolk is the home of the world’s largest naval base, it’s a safe bet that just about any crime committed by anyone has some connection to a friend, distant relative, passing acquaintance or third cousin twice removed to someone in the navy. So it’s gives me a certain amount of pleasure to characterize the 88 year-old anti-Semite who shot his way into the holocaust as a left wing nutcase with a degree in journalism and a the conviction that 9/11 was a conspiracy on the part of the Bush administration to steal Iraq’s oil … the sort of thing that’s mainstreamed by the editors of the Virginian Pilot.
The article written by Associated Press writers Brett Zongker and Ben Nuckols emphasized certain features of James von Brunn’s biography while failing to mention others. Von Brunn was an anti-Semite, much like a lot of the Left and the entire Muslim world. He was a white supremacist. He was also violently anti-Christian, blaming Christianity for what he perceived to be the loss of virility. He denounced the Christian faith as a dastardly Jewish conspiracy,

a “HOAX” invented by the Apostle Paul to “DESTROY ROMAN CULTURE” from within by undermining its pagan virility
In that he has much in common with the Left – and the media - which has gleefully proclaimed the death of God and has recently replaced the God of the Bible with Barack Obama.
He hated Jews, a characteristic he shares with President Obama’s pastor who has preached against Jews in the past and today denounced Jews for preventing him from getting in contact with the parishioner whom he mentored for 20 years.
It is to be understood that leftist web sites would try to associate von Brunn with conservatism. Unfortunately for them, his mental derangement has much more in common with Liberalism, especially that brand of Liberalism that attributes the problems in the Middle East to Jews, and equates Christians as they practiced their religion with Muslim jihad as it is practiced by al Qaida and taught in Muslim madrasas. It is not at all unusual to read on the pages of the Virginian Pilot in either an Op-ed or by a columnist that Pat Robertson and Osama bin laden are equal threats.
Is that the kind of public dialog that sets a man like von Brunn off? According to much of the polemical Left, that is exactly the case – except in this case they are blaming Rush Limbaugh, Karl Rove, Glenn Beck and others on the Right. Unfortunately for them the truth is that – like his hero, Adolph Hitler – von Brunn was a socialist who hated Christians and Jews as much as he hated blacks, Bush, McCain, Rupert Murdoch and the whole “neo-con” movement so despised by the Left.

A highly original analysis, certainly one I haven't seen anywhere else. Perhaps this is because most people recognize that violent anti-Semitism is predominantly a white-power phenomenon, and that white power and liberalism have nothing in common.
(I haven't yet ruled out the possibility that this entire site is an expert satire on right wing excess -- if so, congratulations!)

James,
Your point that violent anti-semitism is a white-power thing would be a surprise to the Muslim jihadists and their white Liberal supporters on college campi. But don't let your bigotry get in the way of rational analysis.
Unless your reply is an expert satire of left wing talking points.
