Everyone is anticipating … well, let’s start that sentence again. The people who believe that 9/11 was part of a global war are anticipating a terror attack that is designed to create mass casualties … like 9/11. The Left? Well, they believe that 9/11, and the Madrid train bombings, the London attacks, and the 100-some attacks worldwide by the followers of the Religion of Peace were all one-off affairs to be dealt with by local police.
For those who think that our enemies mean what they say, the concern is some kind of massive attack. But what if they’re wrong? Our airports are screened for not only sharp objects but liquid explosives. It’s not likely that highjackers will again commandeer American aircraft to crash them into buildings. The big fear is of a nuclear device, but that may require more sophistication that the jihadists possess.
Keep in mind that despite the destruction, 9/11 was very low tech. All it required in the way of training and weapons was some commercial flight school training and box cutters.
So if you were the head Jihad and wanted to stage an attack, what would work for you? Well, how about recruiting some unhappy Americans who were ready to convert to Islam, train them in weapons use and send them back to shoot American soldiers in the US?
Low tech. Cheap. And as hard to stop as the 9/11 hijackers were on 9/10. Especially if the government and the media can’t buy a clue.
