Little Ice Age Coming

From Milenio:

An expert from the National Autonomous University of Mexico predicted that in about ten years the Earth will enter a "little ice age" which will last from 60 to 80 years and may be caused by the decrease in solar activity.

Is this the "climate change" we were warned about?

And in New Zealand:

Mt Ruapehu is claiming the biggest snow base ever recorded for a New Zealand skifield with over 4.5m of snow on the ground.

Ruapehu Alpine Lifts, operator of Mt Ruapehu ski area, was celebrating what it called a major milestone today.

The snow measuring stake at Turoa previously only stood at 380cm so had to be extended to measure today's 455cm snow base.

A question asked in deadly earnest: what will be the penalty for spreading the "global warming" hoax?

Actually it makes sense. Here's what the left doesn't want people to understand. The Earth has its own cooling mechanism that will kick in when global temperatures rise to rapidly. In the mid 1800's we emerged from 400 years of what is referred to as the little is age. That ice age started when global temperatures reached a level that polar ice caps were melting, at a rate similar to today. With the melting ice caps, the massive influx of fresh water into the ocean, slowed the global conveyor belt that delivers equitorial heat to the northern and southern hemispheres. As a result of weakening Ocean currents, the Earth cooled dramatically, eventually leading to the year with no summer here in the US. The same events will occur again. I do beleive in global warming (whether natural or human induced), but I also believe that history supports the notion that "mother earth" has her own defense mechanisms and too many are too arrogant in beleiving that the human race is all-powerful. I have never understood how the media can so easily overlook this planet's history.
